What's up guys! Made some small changes on my video format - though there still some things to improve! Let me know in the comments below if you have any feedback! In addition, I'll be updating my FB page and Twitter page frequently too, and will be posting videos in ADVANCE on these pages. So be sure to check out those links, which are in the description above!
I don't think you did too badly, considering you are just getting back into the game. Not knowing about Healing Wish and Foul Play mechanics would only work against you once, and you'll learn from it. With the advent of Megas and the influx of priority, maybe you should look into having at least 2 priority users on every offensive NU team. I'd love to see you try your hands on PU as well, it's a pretty fun meta, and leans towards offense which you seem to like. Actually, speaking as someone who was basically in charge of running it in XY and early ORAS, it reminds me of how NU was last gen (barring some missing Pokemon).
Hey man, I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for returning! I remember watching you back in gen 5, and it was amazing to see how much you actually mattered. In a way, you are the one that helped boost Etika World Network, which is crazy. But more importantly, you are the one that first inspired me to become a RUclipsr, and I just want to say that I am so grateful for all the awesome videos that you have uploaded. Thank you so much for being an inspiration. Sincerely, Walker
I am a recent subscriber, and so far I really enjoy your videos. It's nice to finally find a battler that doesn't just do OU. You should battle WeedleTwineedle, he's another youtuber pretty similar to you.
Why do you change samurai jack's moveset? In black and white, jack is a sweeper then, it become a mixed offensive. Can you please make jack sweep a nu team?😇
I have no idea how to competitively battle, and no idea how Pokébank works, so please bear with this next question: Can PikaWu bring back Purble the Shiny Pachurisu? I missed that little mischievous guy.
Great vid Pikawu. Loved the new team preview. To be honest, the same thing happens to me a lot where I let my only Pokemon that can deal with a specific pokemon go down, same as what happened in this match. It just proves that in Pokemon, you have to think long term, though I didn't expect Wiglytuff to do that much damage 0.0 Oh and btw, my fave wall is Torkoal. It's probably something that came from watching the anime, plus it's a great poke in the NU and PU tier. Also, i think you did something like way earlier on your channel where us viewers could get a shot at you. I don't remember the specifics, but any chance something like that comes back?
What I recommend for teams Steel type- best defense and has rocks Dragon type- best over all lots of set ups Psychic type- second best type helps with poison and has strong moves Flying type- fastest type has strong moves and wide verity of items No same types- get rest by same Pokemon for ex: Cellibi and alacazam on same team got rekt by weavile Hazards- can take hits and can put out rocks spikes etc. Power house- good for sweeping and sets up for strong attacks with items to boost capability Spin/defogger/ghost/taunt- gets rid of hazards and switches outfor more set-ups Mega Pokemon- waisted item but feared usually strong or bulky with good ability Use this for a good team or try your own methods
QOTD: Mega Venusaur. Venusaur was already one of my favorite Pokemon, but his Mega Evolution is just ridiculous. Toxic immunity, 80/123/120 bulk, two weaknesses, neither of which are super-common, and access to Leech Seed, Synthesis, and Giga Drain in the same moveset. What.
+marco lopez The operative word being super. They're common, sure, but they're not like Ice or Ground where you're pretty much guaranteed to run into them every battle.
Greetings Pikawu! That was a tough loss and left me kinda disappointed but i am very happy to watch content from you again anyway. I think you made some key mistakes. It feels very strange to me to say that to you, since you were the person that basically taught me how to battle, as i mentioned in my comment in your last battle. However i am just trying to help you like you did in the past. First, I think your team had some key flaws. Except for the lack of special attackers, as you mentioned yourself, it is incredibly slow-only Kangaskhan is in a good speed tier and it is still average-you even lacked priority, except for Kangaskhan again. You also lacked some strong attacker-wallbreaker. Samurott and Kangaskhan are strong enough, Rhydon too, I suppose, but they won't 1KO anything that's not weak to their moves and won't also 2KO walls switching in-I'd recommend a Band or Specs Pokemon. Plus, I think Leech Seed and Shadow Sneak(especially in this team) are more important in Gourgeist than Foul Play, maybe even than Seed Bomb too, since Gourgeist inflicts mostly residual damage and needs the priority. As for your actual gameplay, i also think you played too recklessly with. your only special attacker, as you also mentioned-but it's ok I guess since nobody would expect a specs Wigglytuff there. Also, you could death fodder your Samurott, who would die anyways, in the Camerupt-Mesprit or Gourgeist-Weezing matchups, to save a Pokemon-you could also go for the hazards with Garbordor and switch Samurott in as fodder if the opponent went to Mesprit. Anyways, gg in general. I(and lots more of people too, I suppose) are looking forward to more battles, as well as the return of the Pikawu that was kicking asses back before! Hahah just kidding dude(I hope you aren't pissed about my recommendations-it's not like I want to act like a smart guy, I just want you to win, because you are my favourite poketuber). Thanks a lot ;)
+Geo Sevenner So Samurott was my WallBreaker on the team since it was a mixed attacker. The problem was I lost it early on. In terms of needing to always 2HKOing walls, the team doesn't actually face a large problem. Reason why, is the walls that can live 2 hits are set up fodder for Garbador and can get up spikes (though admittedly, I didn't get up many spikes this match). I actually like Gourgeist with Foul Play because it is a move that can actually deal with Frail attackers like Zangoose. I tend not to use Shadow Sneak on Gourgeist since it doesn't do much damage and it can be exploited for Sub Fodder. Leech Seed isn't as reliable as Synthesis (I've always just preferred it). Also, I agree, I should have death foddered Samurott earlier on. That would have given me a turn where I can shift momentum to my side at any point in time. Definitely learned from this point! Yeah I agree, should have set up spikes against Weezing, and use Samurott as death fodder! That probably would have allowed me an end game where I don't have to rely on 64/36 win/loss situation.
+ThePikaWu Well, I see what your plan was. However I don't think that Samurott has enough juice to break strong walls in times you actually need to, at least not by itself and in the physical side. Maybe it would be more of a wallbreaker with a Life Orb... Of course I really respect your style of play, I just think that it's better to have a little bit of everything in a team-speed, power, bulk, this is my style in general. Samurott is strong, but it can't be compared with its Specs set for example(I acknowledge the fact you have your reasons for using Lum, which I can imagine, I just think that attacking power is more important in a Wallbreaker, since this is what it's intended to do. As for Gourgeist, I agree about the sub Fodder part, but I like the combination of Will-o-Wisp and Leech Seed, because the one is volatile and the other non-volatile status-if the opponent switches to get rid of the Leech Seed, they will end up with half of their team permanently burned(except if they have a cleric)... I agree though that Foul Play can be a nice tool and Seed Bomb can be used against subs, I just think that by every set, every move on its own, you lose on something and win on something else and this is my personal preference about what i like to get and what I'd like to lose on Gourgeist. I perfectly respect yours as well, of course. Anyway, I like it very much that we are having this conversation. When I started watching your videos, believe me, I was in no position to give any advice advice and now this :) Glad you are back and I really hope you are going to win next time, these last two were so damn close...
+Geo Sevenner The next videos will be with teams I used to ladder with! I haven't been able to test teams, so these were just built on a whim and eye-balling top NU threats! :)
Pikawu, I feel that you should use some dark types with your team. First off, it's unexpected. Usually, since some dark types are frail, people don't expect people to bring those types. Secondly, people tend to use phsycic types and dark types pose a threat to those types, mainly because most phsycic types used are meant for attacking. Finally, not many people bring Pokemon that are strong against dark. Of course, this is just my opinion. Also, I think you are a great you tuber and a great at strategizing.
I'm curious as to why you sometimes say your going to do a certain move and then in the video you do a totally different move. I know it's not live commentary but sometimes it looks weird. But I still enjoy your videos. Keep it up 👍
That's many a poketubers Achilles Heel, predicting way too much when the gut feeling/first choice would usually be the correct one. Not disrespecting any tuber or anything, just making an observation I've noticed to be a trend of players on RUclips.
Pretty close match, and in my second favorite Tier too, lol. I've got a question of my own, and that is do you accept Viewer Battle Requests? I ask because I think it'd be Awesome to get a chance to Battle you. ^__^ As for your QOTW: I have a few that I really like, but my most dependable Pokémon I've ever used as a Wall is actually Miltank. My original Miltank in particular has never, I repeat, NEVER failed me whenever I needed her to get an edge in a Battle, whether or not I actually win the Battle; all I know is that she always makes each Battle I have her in very close. Also, need I mention the large Move Pool and of course reliable recovery in Milk Drink?? ^__^
hey first time watching your channel, I liked your comments and the battle was alright. Both had few misplays here and there but overall very enjoyable and representative of the meta (unlike having random mons vs random mons). I think your biggest mistakes came for overpredicting a little too much. Your Garbodor could have won you the match. Hope to see more good videos from you
Umbreon. I go Max Sp.Def and Max Def with a small investment in HP. Given Curse, Wish, Protect and Foul Play my friends are always gnashing their teeth trying to take him down...usually results in me finishing the battle during a hysterical fit of laughter.
Shiro san unser Mann *-* You should get a battle against steve from "superfuntime" he is a very skiled player and you are a reason why he started posting pokemln wifi battles ^^ Would be really Nice :)
I haven't played a lot of recent pokemon games, but I'm wondering; Why is he using Rhydon? Isn't Rhyperior stronger, or is it impossible to get the the thing you needed for the evolution?
Very good match man! As im from germany myself i know that Shiro is one of the best NU players in germany. But one question: Will you do battles in the PU tier as its now a official Smogon tier?

+ThePikaWu Also let me know about the Team Preview Analysis...if it needs improvement or if it is too long! Thanks!
i like it, specially the elemental weakness part
it is great to have you back!
+ThePikaWu In the team preview analysis you misspelled Garbodor
can't say this enough...so glad you're back PikaWu. been watching your content for years, and you never disappoint.
Where did he go? He missed gen7 and gen9 is pretty fire!
Wow, i am amazed you get to play versus the magnificent Shiro. I'm jealous ^^
+Steve's Super-Fun-Time :) Playing him was a lot of fun! I definitely hope to battle him again sometime!
So happy you're back, missed your videos so much!
Didn't realise you were back! You had some awesome content, so it was a shame you were gone for so long. Glad to see you back dude ;)
I'm back here since I saw you upload! Good to see you back :)

Really good match versus Shiro and in addition I'm really happy to see, that you are back. ^-^

nice nickname for rhydon lol.
Great battle, man. Too bad you lost, bu oh well, that's how one learns!
Yay!!!! So happy you're back! BTW, are you Chinese? I always guessed your last name was Wu :P
Why do you change samurai jack's moveset? In black and white, jack is a sweeper then, it become a mixed offensive. Can you please make jack sweep a nu team?😇
i love weezing
I have no idea how to competitively battle, and no idea how Pokébank works, so please bear with this next question: Can PikaWu bring back Purble the Shiny Pachurisu? I missed that little mischievous guy.
You battled very well. Both of you made great plays and had interesting teams. You can’t win them all
Great vid Pikawu. Loved the new team preview. What I recommend for teams
Steel type- best defense and has rocks
Dragon type- best over all lots of set ups
Psychic type- second best type helps with poison and has strong moves
Flying type- fastest type has strong moves and wide verity of items
No same types- get rest by same Pokemon for ex: Cellibi and alacazam on same team got rekt by weavile
Hazards- can take hits and can put out rocks spikes etc.
Power house- good for sweeping and sets up for strong attacks with items to boost capability
Spin/defogger/ghost/taunt- gets rid of hazards and switches outfor more set-ups
Mega Pokemon- waisted item but feared usually strong or bulky with good ability
Use this for a good team or try your own methods
Please, tell me your Samurott's Ivs & Evs distribution, it is magnificent.

He needs to post again
I know early on in XY, I was using inspired by Magnezone + Dragons team in one video :p Was using Magnezone, Sylveon and 4 Dragons xD
Good Match was very interesting ^-^
Great battle you two. Hope to see a rematch :D that specs wiggly though ^^
You lost for too many overpredictions.
That's many a poketubers Achilles Heel, predicting way too much when the gut feeling/first choice would usually be the correct one. Not disrespecting any tuber or anything, just making an observation I've noticed to be a trend of players on RUclips.

Wesing knows flamethrower? LOL
I haven't played a lot of recent pokemon games, but I'm wondering; Why is he using Rhydon? Isn't Rhyperior stronger, or is it impossible to get the the thing you needed for the evolution?
+The Red Panda Eviolite for better defense. Also, Rhyperior is RU while Rhydon is NU
Felixkeeg Ah, of course. Thanks ^_^
Ur THE best you used rhydon
Very good match man! As im from germany myself i know that Shiro is one of the best NU players in germany.
But one question: Will you do battles in the PU tier as its now a official Smogon tier?
AOTD: Umbreon

U would've won if rydon hadn't missed its stone edge
NU god sergen
Hey bro, you should try pokemon showdown, after all it's a really good place to practice since it has lots of users and different ways to play.
