- TITLEIST TS DRIVER: ALL 4 STOCK SHAFTS TESTED
The Titleist TS drivers come with4 shafts as stock options but what do they offer and who could they benefit? Ali tests the 4 shafts and using launch monitor data tries to help you answer some of those questions.
The bend profile of Kuro Kage was definitely up your alley. Your swing sequence was a lot more natural and that will equal better dispersion.
Surprisingly good results from such a light shaft, the kuro kage did better than I expected, goes to show we can’t judge on weight, thanks Ali 👍🏌️♂️
Low weight=faster swing speed=longer shot if nothing else changes
I suggest if you are going to do such a large test in the future that you balance the evaluation. Hit three balls with each shaft and repeat to get the sample set. This way the first and the last shafts will get a more balanced comparison with the middle two. Nice video.
Thanks for the review comparison. Would have been interesting to also compare the similar weight shafts or other weight shaft versions, like the tensei Av blue 65, which has a lot lower torque (3.9) than the tensei av blue 55 with sfW (4.9)
You’d have to test over months to see a different pattern in shafts, strike will always come on top with quick tests like this.
Old post so you may not see this. But I like the feel of hazard shaft but I can't keep it in the fair way over draw every thing.. I do believe that there is a swing path problem
But goung to change up shafts to see if this help..
Hi Ali, thanks for the video. I recently bought TS2 & love it. No regrets. I only play off 14 & have been using Titleist for years. But some, as you say, are not confident in going to a Titleist driver. TS1 may suit them, build their confidence & get them trusting a great brand. Surely TS4 is for the tour pro who needs that bit extra for their ability. I can’t see many amateurs buying it, why would they? But TS1 will suit a lot of players who haven’t found a Titleist driver to work for them. So I think they’ve have done a good thing to introduce a TS1.
with that swing speed, X flex might be better for you in a couple of those shafts. Particularly the Smoke, which I think would bring the spin down just a bit.
"ku-row kah-geh" Kuro Kage means "black shadow" in Japanese.
What does hentai mean?
@@mre_man "Hen," as usually written, means odd or strange. "Tai" is the state or condition of something.
'Not what I'd be looking for', what people want is an objective review, not what you want
Why don’t the big club companies create their own shafts?
The KuroKage is insanely good with the TS2 head. I went into my fitting thinking HZRDUS or EvenFlow and turned out the KK just performed and performed time after time. It’s now in my bag and I’ve never been happier with a driver
Hi, I’ve just been fit into the 2 with a kuru kage. Is there an upgrade related to this shaft in titleists upgrade range please?
Hzrdus for me have been very straight hitters.
I'm a bit confused as titleist bills the evenflow white as the lowest spin option of the 4.
The strike can be a bigger influence, I'm sure on robot testing it is.
Good video. Compare the m3 against the. Ts driver
Thank you for testing them out on your swing. It really helps to see a spread of golfers put their swing on the same equipment.
(You really have to fix that "cage" pronunciation. Super cringy every single time. It'd be better if you just said "Black Shadow" if you can't manage.)
Kuro Kage: the Kage is pronounced as two syllables, as in kah'-gay. It's a Japanese thing.
OK Why aren't you starting from A1 since that is Titleist's starting point. Why are you starting at B1.
Ten-zay
I need some help ive just bought the titleist TS3 driver can you please tell me what the black dot is on the bottom of the club is for.. mine has fallen out will it make much difference can it be replaced??
@SAM IAM its to do with sound and acoustic cost only £10 to get it fixed its not made the performance change at all lol
People are being shafted into believing that the shaft is the engine of the club. It is not.
Its ryan leaf
Kurr-O-Ka-Gay 😝
Ping G400 max vs Titleist TS2? Any thoughts, I’m stuck!
I’m pretty sure peter did the same video with the exact same shafts? Great vid tho
I think there are a few of these vids, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
It was Mike Newton I think
Preston Hammond finchy went through the fitting. Not sure he tested the KK but he was X flexing his shafts. Mike Newton compared the 4 shafts Ali did but he used the TS2 head not the TS3 ... so perfectly reasonable to expect different results with different heads
To hit 5 shots then rate a shaft's 'DISPERSION' is absolutely ridiculous, and that's an understatement LMFAO
Its pronounced Kool Ro Kai Jay not Kuro cage....
Not exactly a great test because if you did it in a different order, I think you have a completely different result from being warmed up. First shot low off the face, Third shot also low off the face, 4th shot straight as a bullet. It is the reason why I have a Tensei in my Taylormade. However, you want the Tensei Orange pro.
I was warmed up before the video
It would be great if the person testing the shafts could actually swing and hit a good ball 🤦♂️
Kuro 'kahjee' but... I'd have said "cage' if I hadn't heard someone else say it.
More evidence that shafts are the same whatever you use. How do the companies get away with making any claims that one is better than another? It's a massive con IMO.
James Harrison 100% agree! If you tested super extreme from really soft to really stiff, if might affect your dispersion until you got used to it... but in general terms, almost nothing in it!
Only thing you can say is “we offer a variety of shafts that FEEL and LOOK different. Try them all and buy the one you think looks and feels cool, then get used to it.”
Exactly it's all the same BS
First time seeing your videos, hate to be critical, but you have such an interesting swing. It looks like your aren’t even looking at the ball at impact as if you are looking down range
My head does rotate a bit earlier than most, quite a few players do it, Henrik Stenson, Annika Sormenstam and David Duval all do it. Hope you enjoyed the video and subscribed!!!😁
AliTaylorGolf thanks for the reply, subscribed and shared
Interesting , didn’t even know that Henrik Stenson rotate his head earlier than impact , first time I know this seeing his slo-mo swing so many times
So he hits a natural draw, but then hit one 'towards the toe' with the Smoke that had NO draw and destroyed all his other tries..2 shots later he drops 24 yds with the same shaft...more proof that these type of tests prove nothing at all!!
