When I was a teenager, I used to practice my saxophone and the cows in the pasture across the road from our house, would line up at the fence and listen to me play. Spent many an afternoon playing to the cows. 🐄🌸
My sister would practice her clarinet on the back porch and our tom turkey would come running and stick his head right up to the end. He would gobble and squeak at it. never did know if he loved it or hated it, but he would go nuts when she would quit.

Her joy at seeing the cows coming all the way over to where she was, to listen to her play, illustrates how we all enjoy a positive reaction to the things we do. My mom was pretty good at reinforcing my playing music, even though we couldn't afford lots of music lessons, but she planted the seed, and I became a professional musician: organist for a number of churches through the years. Thanks, mom.

I like your observation! She had an enthusiastic audience! The cows were certainly entertained by a person playing nice music for them. I hope this inspires other young musicians to play for animals. The cows wouldn’t have come over and formed a polite line unless they enjoyed the music. Also, I bet the cows enjoyed the fact that someone had come over just to play music for them.

Beautiful moment. My grandfather, a farmer from Nova Scotia, used to call his cows..."Gods most giving beasts." This child is precious...the cows can sense her loving soul. This made my day.

A family friend of mine whose father passed away was from India, and he and his siblings told me about an after death milk bath customary to his religion. I had always wondered if that was related.

Plus, every part of cow or rather everything the cow gave was/is useful. The dung has several uses including as fuel. The urine was used as a medicine. The calf (bull) when grew old, could be put to work in the fields.
The bath of milk is a purifying ritual but not very common these days due to how expensive milk is. But it is still used in some temples on the idols.
In India cows are more respected than women who are gang raped
Cows are typically gentle, but about as dumb as they come. They don’t “sense” anything but a stimuli. You could just as easily throw a TV out in a field playing reruns of the Golden Girls and the same thing would happen.

I love how cows maintained a distance to respect her.
Music soothes cattle. In the old days cowboys used to sing to cows on trail drives at night to help keep cattle calm. She has the knack for sure.

I was 13 on my uncles farm, that is many years ago. I had got my fist 'transistor'. I walked out in field of cattle, had music on and stood. They all formed a circle around me and so I stood for about 10 minutes, then switched off the radio. And then I gently said, that's all girls and moved slowly and they parted and went about their evening. It was quite magic.

I had a beautiful, beautiful kitty who used to go outside during the day. She loved it. In summer, even when it was dark she wanted to stay outside, and there was no way of bringing her inside; except for when I played this video, then she would come running and purring just like these pretty cows! It was the only way of convincing her to come inside. She passed away two months ago at 9 y/o, and watching this video now reminds me of her and how much we loved each other. I love you so much Miz ♥️
You had a lovely bond, how precious. Cats are so loving and attached to their owners. I had a black cat who crept into my house one day, and she looked pregnant. Ate my cat's food quietly, despite a large GSD dog in there too. I named her Lucy. I found out it was a neutered male cat, and he had been on junk food so fat. I wore him down with exercise and access to outdoors, and fed him raw food and high quality real meat, sardines, veggies, etc. Lucy became Lucifer, or Luci. That cat adored me. I've never seen anything like it. He loved the thick pile of the rug and would luxuriate in its softness. One day, he jumped into my lap shyly, looked deep into my eyes, his pupils became huge pools of love. He was asking me to love him back. I could feel his need to be loved so strongly, it was a magical spiritual moment of deep trust. I've had lots of cat rescues but nothing like this. Luci was so starved of affection and he was a very loving soul. I gazed deeply back into his eyes, smiled, and gently caressed him. After that, he was my shadow. He became a muscular, agile black panther and gorgeous, on all the supplements, food, fish oil I fed him. The day he passed away, my heart just broke. No cat can ever take his place. He used to sit next to my white mini poodle, Remy, and the two of them, black and white, cat and dog would sit by the kitchen like two kids, waiting to be fed. So sweet.

I come back to this video occasionally. The little girl is so cute and skilled, the cows are cute, the music is beautiful and the backdrop of nature is refreshing to see. Sometimes this video just hits me in that spot emotionally and makes me want to cry for the good times and the bad times.
