yeah every run were the markers are in this order I always see him. Think ubisoft made it permanent. Anyway my maxed out weapons and armor thank you for this.
Can confirm it still works, sometimes the paintings are in a diferent layout, but it's still really fast. If you're having problems with staying unnoticed just use a berserk shot on a spearman anywhere thats far away from the paintings and everyone will come rushing there.
@Still_Arctic Yes, I've tried it today and I can tell you that sometimes the first paint shown in video is placed above where it's supposed to, if that happens I recommend you restart the memory and that should fix it.

I've done testing and the all paintings have 2 positions they can be in, but if the first one is in the location in this video, they all will be the same as well. If they change positions, exit the mission, and restart, don't reload the checkpoint, exit out. Good hunting.
Very good video, you basically allowed me to have my sweet 5 yellow stars gear, thank you so much for that. You can also go for the 4rth painting because by the time you grab the 3rd painting the disguise should have reset, and you can enter by the window at his left at 1:50 (it is open since 2022). Then you just disguise someone (I usually do the elite sleeping on the pillar) and go grab the painting. What's really hard tho is that a guard can be close to the window or the painting. I recommend checking with eagle vision before entering the window (if he's here just wait and he'll eventually go) and just avoid the one close to the painting without being too close because the disguise will run out. Then you can walk to a door at your right (still the painting room, not the corridor) and exit trough a window at your left It's a struggle describing a run with words lol, but if you have any questions I'll try to answer them
By far the best strategy. Also, if the last painting ends up being the middle level painting, the Master Sans Coat will extend the disguise duration, allowing you to get it. Just enter the window and quickly activate the skill.
The less effort method is: At the spawn point check how far paintings are. If MUST be this order Left to Right (122 , 116 , 118 , 80) the 80 meter paintings is 100% real if order is true. 🎉 So if order is not same as i say. Then just Restart the mission. Try until it is same.
I agree mostly I do the 2-3 steps in reverse and also don’t use smoke bombs for the window I use phantom blade or a gun to take home out wait for guard to leave and jump in window take painting other guard won’t notice if you stay against the wall I then go after the one in the lobby and if that not the right one I continue upstairs using smoke and poison blades to cause frenzy

They patch this so that the easy painting is rarely the correct one. If it isn't the right one, just learn a quick route for a second painting. Use disguise or whatever you need. If it isn't the second, restart.
If the paintings are in a different location, restart not the checkpoint, but the entire heist itself. Keep restarting until it is the same in this video
What I have observed so far: -If the painting spits are different, restart on the way to the first painting, before you loose sight of the plaza with the main entrance, look at the main entrance where the second painting is, theres 2 doors. if the right one is open and 2 guards are standing there. The painting will be on the second spot. I dont have any info on the first one. the third painting seems to only appear if the window across from the brute is closed. if its open, go restart. Now what I recommend: On the way to the first painting, take a glance at the main entrance. if the right soor is guarded, head there directly instead of going to the first one. If the right door is closed, go to the first painting, and skip over the second one entirely. If the right window across from the brute at the 3rd painting is open, restart. if the window across from the brute is closed, go take the painting. there are some giveaways if a painting is real or not. if that was to complicated, let me give an easier guide: On the way to painting n.1 Look at doors from painting n2. If right door is closed, skip painting 2. if its open, go directly to painting n.2 Painting n1 has not hings to consider other than skipping over it if painting n2 is guarded on the doors. If window on painting n3 across from brute is closed, the painting will be there, if its open, restart. edit: Note that These signs are not a 100% guarantee. I just had a case where i skipped over the first one and the second one was open. I thought If my observations are correct, the window on the third painting across from the brute is open. it was closed. and the painting was on the 3rd spot. my new recommended way is the following: Go to painting n1 take it. if it was fake. observe the main entrance on painting 2. if the doors are open, Go check the windows on painting 3. If the right window is open, go to painting n2. if the window is closed, take painting n3. if it was a fake, proceed with painting n2. Now guides for all the states: painting n3 window open: go painting n1 and take it if fake look at doors from main entrance. middle door should be guarded. In this case the painting is on spot n2. painting n3 window closed: Go take painting 1 if it was a fake go watch the doors again. no matter if guarded or not, skip over the second spot and go watch the windows on painting n3. if the window across is closed, The painting most likely is on spot 3. if either the window is open or the painting not there, go take painting n2. requirements for n2 and n3 met but paintings are all fakes. in this case, if your meter from the masking is filled up again, use it to take the painting, Window is very precise tho. otherwise just restart. I know its many factord vsrying but initially, If the doors on painting 2 are closed, go painting n3. If the painting is not there, then go to painting n2. if it was not there, restart. I hope you can see my thought process and make a sense of my mental mess😂😂 All you need to adjust really is, to go to the 3rd spot first after the first painting. so, 3rd spot is 2nd spot and 2nd spot now 3rd. that way you work from top to bottom
Thank you for this. I've read some comments that mentioned that there were some telling signs to find out which strat you have to follow to get the right painting. But no videos have shown that to me except for your comment. I'll try to follow this when I play the mission for myself.
Patched. 12/8/2022 every run with the 80m one i go to all the three in the run, doesnt work and its always the 4th one in the 80m layout one for some reason
I have Disguise and tried this mission with it to no avail. As soon as I get too close to any enemy it breaks and I usually end up dead. I've tried many other methods found on RUclips to successfully complete this mission, but, I have not passed it even once.
@@funkykong5740 That's a bit odd though because it looked like you got too close to a guard at least once, but, your disguise didn't break. Perhaps I was just seeing things. In any case, shortly after I posted originally I actually did pass it using your method. Might have been with the reward meter down to about half, but, I did pass it. I will be trying it again in order to get the whole reward next time.
for some reason i have to get right up behind that brute for my disguise to work, and sometimes it just wont work at all, and i end up getting spotted. anybody know of a way to get around this?

it's soo fucking annoying that even if you do this mission like 5 times that money of yours drains with buying a couple items. the money system in this game is so dumb.
i appreciate you a lot but lemme tell you my personal experience. so first of all i had to quit the mission and start it up 3 times before i even got the right painting setup. then when i finally did get it, 1st try: first 3 paintings were fake 2nd try: first 3 were fake again and then when i restarted the mission, the locations switched. so i think it's safe to say it's patched

This strategy works like a charm, you have 3 out of 4 chances to get the painting. Ngl thats a pretty good deal

You'll need the farthest right painting to be 80m away from where you spawn, if it is 97m away from you then the layout changed

The paintings are randomized, you’ll get different ones a lot of the time
If the paintings are in a different location, restart not the checkpoint, but the entire heist itself. Keep restarting until it is the same in this video

if you get too close to enemies in disguise it will break, you have to keep your distance in order to get to the painting. keep trying, you got this

I can confirm that this video is obsolete. None of those positions are still valid. Even afer restart/reload.
