    Good upgrade option. Looking to get my first thicknesser soon but will be going lunchbox style. Couldn't fit a combo machine.

      @BrookesWood I've been looking at getting a small one from Rutlands, but something else always seems to take priority. Though first I do need to sort my workshop properly

    My only concern is I don't see any thicknesser bed lock which makes me fear there will be micro variability between successive board passes. Can you lock the bed?

    • @BrookesWood
      @BrookesWood  Год назад +2

      Completely valid concern. On the handle to move the bed there is a twist screw that you can lock down so it doesn’t rotate through vibration when the machine is on. You can just about see it at 5:43 when I explain how to change between uses.

    I made exactly the same mistake with the tools 😂😂

      Easily done isnt it.

      Yup, I wish the instructions were better, otherwise I am happy with the machine, just need to get the plug sorted.

      Is the plug due needing a bigger breaker?

    • @BrookesWood
      @BrookesWood  Год назад

      Apart from the first time I haven’t had any more issues. I may need to change the breaker in the house as it does pull a lot of power at start up BUT atm it seems fine.

      Yeah easy enough fitting one it’s just having the time. I got a bit of a heads up from @shaunintheshed about the plug
