I’ve had my Lumberjack router table for 2 years now and it’s given me some great results. Yes there are better quality ones but for small workshops like ours you can’t go wrong. Nice purchase Andy.
I recently bought an RT1500 and an Erbauer planer thicknesser at a yard sale. Neither had any instructions and so this video was was very well timed for me. I also watched your titan planer thicknesser review and it showed me how to fit the dust extraction port to the machine. So a big thanks from me for your videos, they're fun to watch and helpful too.
Very Important... Lock the rise and fall wheel before use. I learned the hard way, it can move over a long cut. The locking wheen is benieth the table, behind the wheel.
Very informative Andy, thanks! I have been looking at this for quite a while but given the price point I had reservations. Seems it might be worth a punt though.
I bought the fox table which looks exactly the same. The only problems I found was the table is not flat and the fence is not square. I solved it by putting a 10mm MDF top and bolted a laminated 18mm fence to the metal bracket. I made 3 size inserts for the different size cutters. It now doesn't have the t track but the table is more accurate.
Thanks for that. I have been looking at different ones for a while as my home made one is, like me, getting a bit past its best. You keep you review succinct and to the point. I will go ahead and buy one. One point though, you said there were two 1/4" collets, are you sure one was not 5/16" ? I have seen these around and they can be confusing. Thanks again
Have you noticed the rise and fall (inside lock knob) does not lock it properly Due to vibration, the cutter moves up ruining the piece and no amount of 'locking up' helps
Hi Andy nice vid I’m looking at the same one how was that plastic guard to me it looked cumbersome. I like the way the bit change over operated at first I thought it would be awkward but it looks very simple
@@scrapwoodandy6600 hi Andy not to bad just been looking at the Excel one looks exactly the same but a lot cheaper than lumberjacks price by around £45 so I’m saving up for it
@@PhilsWorkshop1953 Thet's the one I got last week, £177 on fleabay (20% off voucher) Yes just branded as excel, 100% identical, by the way, the Lumberjack demo shows finger thingi knobs on front, I did as this Vid shows, put them on the back lol
Hi Andy, been looking into buying a mobile router table. I had the Scheppach first, which was junk to be honest. What other models would you recommend looking into that might be better?

Did you have any problems with play in the router lift, causing the bit to wobble out of true?

What kind of plug does this come with only I’m in the uk so really need it to be compatible with uk plugs

Hi phil nice to hear from you hope you are well. The plastic guard quit solid. The leaver under the table is easy to do.

Hi , I've purchased the Excel version for £190 on an Ebay deal . How is yours performing ?
@@davedaniels8211 hi Dave it’s ok but messy also the bits don’t seem to go low enough but having said that it does its job and works for what I need
I've had my eye on one of these for a while. Would you recommend it?
I have only had it about 4 weeks. Yes there are better ones out there. It’s good enough for what I want it for.

When you set the bit height does it alter by itself with use or does it hold stable? Does the height lock?
There is a knob (inside) connected to the height wheel, you lock this up when happy
