      @@lionandbear Ben thanks for the discount code what nails to I get for it mate 50mm ones

      No worries mate. I got myself a few different ones, 20mm, 30mm and 50mm. All the tacwise ones from Screwfix. They aren’t the best quality but are a good price and seem to work ok. I’ve just built a planter and had a couple of the 50mm ones jam on me due to the nails breaking inside the gun so that might be where some better quality nails would help but it was easy to clear it and get straight back to it.

    Looks Terribly like ,my Aldi / Ferrex one one, bought about 2 years ago , apart from the colour and perhaps the battery is slightly different. If it is , i works like a dream for me.

      I’ve not seen the ferrex one. Those tools usually get good reviews to be fair. The problem seems to be that it’s hard to know when they are in stock and you’ve got to be quick round these parts 😂

      HI Paul, own both the LJ and the Ferrex. This is miles better.

    Cool video, i liked the comedy bits. Would have been nice to see it in action on some test bits. Ive also been considering the Ryobi and am in the same boat as you with the titan nail gun, so i'll deffo be looking into this, as i have dewalt tools and i was going to get the dewalt to ryobi battery adapter instead of buying a ryobi battery. Still this lumberlack one is way cheaper.

      Thanks mate, it’s always a bit of a risk getting your backside out on a public video 😂😂
      fair point on showing it in use more though, I’ll try and do more of that in future.
      I first tried the nail gun in person at a woodworking show and I know lumberjack are going to be at Makers Central in Birmingham so could be worth going down so you can try it for yourself before buying it but I’m really pleased with it.

      This one appears to be a bit different than those two. For example, their depth knob in on the nose of the tool. I purchase a similar tool to the Aldi/Ferrex from Harbor Freight under the Bauer brand name and returned it two days later because if was so inconsistent in the depth it would drive. Ben, I'm curious about jambs. How many did yo have to clear and was it difficult? Scott

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  Год назад +1

      Hey Scott, I’ve not had a single jam in it yet mate. It’s easy to clear them as the front opens up but as it stands it’s not jammed once.

    Are there any good the fire 50mm brad nails true fully could you used it to put a fence up with it but it only comes with one battery 🔋

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  2 месяца назад

      I’ve just built a garden planter using 50mm brads and it’s worked well mate. It’s not too bad on battery usage but I’ve got the full cordless set with spares so can swap out when it runs out. If you’re building a fence then you’ll probably need a spare battery, if you’re looking for any other cordless tools from them then I recommend the circular saw and jigsaw, both of which are available with batteries so you have a spare.

    What type of nail can I use for this nailgun?

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  3 месяца назад

      18ga straight brad nails. I just buy the cheap tacwise ones from screwfix. I believe it’s anything between 20mm and 50mm but I’m going from memory as I’m not near the tool at the moment.

    I did reply I just forgot to send it lmao.
    I always wait for the sales to start, I got a 18g Ryobi bare tool from the US for $90 freem shipping with prime, 16g Direct from Ryobi for £99 bare tool and a Fatmax with rapid charger and two 2Ah batteries for £243 reduced from £300, your nail gun does look very similar to the Aldi Nailgun which sells for £89ish bare tool when it's in stock.
