Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame at last!!! Congratulations Foreigner!!! ❤
I'll be in Cleveland on 10/19/24 & will see them inducted.
They should've been in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame a loooooooooooooooooong time ago. The HOF is a joke! They are in there now. That's all what matters now! CONGRATS, GUYS!!!!! YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE IT!!!
Yes indeed!!!
Strange how a song and a voice can take you back to another lifetime. ❤
Seems like the first time 😂
Yes it does. I was in 8th grade when. It. And out and I heard it on the radio.
True
I am 2024 12am
You listening to this you my sister brother Mon and DAD..I love you
Worked at a Lou Graham show 2 years ago. It was my first time working in the industry, and when I walked in on them practicing, this was the song they were rehearsing. The energy was overwhelming. He sounds just the same as he does here. I walked him backstage and asked him for some advice for a guy like me. I was 28. "Always be grateful, love your family, and enjoy the small pleasures." Such a kind man
That is so sweet beautiful peace
Thanks for sharing
It’s Lou Gramm. 👍 I don’t know if that was an autocorrect issue because if you worked at a show at anytime I would think that you would know his name?
Congratulations to Foreigner on their much deserved induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
👍🏿❤
Lou had the pipes
So crisp clean and clear
44 Years later and this song still KICKS ASS !!!
I watched the Eternals movie and it was like ho-hum, and then this EPIC song came on at the end of the movie! Now my thoughts of the movie changed for the better after hearing this song close out the movie!
Can’t say the same about Bon Jovi
Yes!!
Classics do not age !
@@aganzon2549 is

One of, if not, THE best voice in rock music
agreed. "Urgent" was an appropriate word for his intonation!
Definitely one of my favorites
Every time I listen to this amazing song it feels like the first time❤
Still rocking it. Feels like the first time !!!
I was so blessed to have grown up in the 60's and 70's and not had to listen to the noise that is passed off as music today.
Starting with the New Miintinum the music can be described in one simple word"CRAP!"
@@Davidchristenson-b1h Did you mean to say 'Millennium', I have no idea what a 'Mintinum' is .😅😅😅
Hell, yeah!! WE grew up with REAL MUSIC!! Kids today don't know REAL MUSIC!!
Love the Tamborine toss at 1:48
Met Lou twice in the summer of 2019 at classic cars shows and he is a great, respectful and kind fellow that had no problem chatting a bit and showing me one of his classic cars. Definitely a moment I will remember.
Classic cars means he's got a great personality.
WOW! How cool to have met him. ❤
@@susansquire7968 Coolest thing was I was only there because I was with my newly found biological dad (found after 49 yrs!). My dad was drumming in an older guy 50s/60s band there at the car show, so I got to explain to Lou the trip of finding my dad is a drummer like my son as well as my own guitar and bass practice! Genetics are cool!
Always is so kind
Awesome!!!!
Definitely a song to sing when it came on the car radio.
I’m 52 and raised on classic rock today’s rock don’t compare
Dude I'm 50 for 1 more week and this music was my childhood. Today's shit.... Is just that.
I'm 57 and I agree 👍
Same here at 56 still sounds GD as can be in 2024
Me too ✋️ ❤ 70s gen
Funny thats not how the current generation feels they are rocking out just like they did in the 70s different strokes for different folks😊
They deserve to be in the Hall of Fame . This is one of greatest bands in History ❤❤
They are in Finally!!!
The band that gave me the soundtrack of my youth. One hit after another after another. Man, what a run they had.
Yes indeed....

It still feels like the first time listening to this song after so many years! ❤️
His vocals were unique and extraordinary. Perfect band. Perfect vocals. Perfect song.
I was thinking the same. Perhaps the perfect blend of British/American pop-rock. I’ve been listening to this A LOT!
Shirley you're kidding? Ha ha ,really this is they're best song I think.
Meeeee - still listening 😊
@@pb8601 After all, that's what they are.

I'll never forget my 1st outdoor concert. UFO, Nick Gilder, Foreigner, The Greg Kihn band. Day of the Grape Festival Lodi California Oct. 1978
Feels like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame got it right for the first time in along time!! Congrats Foreigner.
Only Lou can make the tambourine look cool. Great voice that deserves more recognition.
He can make it look sexy
and Ian Astbury (The Cult)
One of my favorite voices of all time.

One of the greatest voices of all time thank you Lou Gramm
Love this song. Very special in 2023!
I don't think there is a better band that bridged the sound of the 70's and 80's so perfectly. It's time they are in The Hall.
Love this band, so many great memories. Love Lou Gramm
I’ve been listening to Foreigner since 1977, but the 1st time I saw Lou Gramm look in the camera, I’ve been in love with him ever since!😊

40+ years later and I'm digging this tune just as much as i did back then. THAT, my friends, is timeless! :)
Me too!
Yes. I'm still hearing it just like the first time, the very first time
Believe that.....This quality song never gets old
K P Me too brother me too. For me there will only be one lead singer for Foreigner and his name is Lou Gramm. Who that other guy is I don't care.
Dude,it's 4 real!
Oh, the memories this song brings. Epic.
Foreigner was always one of my favorite bands I listened to back then while serving my country.
Foreigner was/is such an AWESOME BAND! Soooo many great songs over the years. And Lou Gramm is, without a doubt, one of the best lead singers of all time. What a voice!!!
I agree. So "urgent".
Yes! A long time coming, finally !
Hall of Fame, yes!❤😂❤
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written
Lou is the man!! Music today doesn't even come close.
RIP Ian McDonald (shown playing rhythm guitar & backing vocals) who passed away February 9, 2022. He was a co-founder of King Crimson & Foreigner and he was also a multi-instrumentalist: sax, flute, keyboard (mellotron esp.) and guitar.
Thank you even though it's sad. I was unaware of his passing.
💔♥️💔
damn I love Foreigner. Just does not. get. old.
Ahhhhh Lou!!! That voice! Such a babe ❤️❤️❤️❤️
RUclips somehow taking my post down asking people to vote for the for The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame?! Ridiculous.
Lou is the man.
Lou Gramm! A velvet haunting voice!❤️
Timmy Johnson I'm a black man an I went to central Catholic highschool, they the best in history.
I'm an Aussie mate. And I went to Catholic Colleges. And l totally agree. And l don't care if you're black bro. 👍
So so happy to find these old Foreigner video's !😭 😢 😭

Classic music died and 77 is gone except great live kept memories , I
was 12 when I first heard this song
in 77 .
Take me back 1977.....Rocking down the beach.....WKZQ
What an awesome song. It came 5 years before I was born, I heard it for the first time at 18 and I am here in my 40s listening to it.
Compared to others on this page you are a youngster, but you are here. Great to see!
@@RichardWarland🤝
A rock classic
1:07 if he screamed “oh yeah!” right there it would be more perfect than it is
Mick would have told him not to!!😂😂
Tĥat songs just gives me chills. That song was truly the way two young lovers would be feeling. I remembered those feelings well.
GREAT GREAT GREAT VOICE!!! EPIC SONG!!
Oh boy! At 64 this sure takes me back to some good times!
Hell, Yeah! Those were the daaaaaaaaaaaze!!! 🤘😎
This song doesn't age, sensational production values also, took me straight back to my junior year 1977
I graduated in 1979
One of my and my hs boyfriend song. One of many but definitely one of the best!!!
🎉😅😮😢 2:06
Love the synth in this one. 60s, 70s, and 80s is the perfect time for music.
Al Greenwood is very underrated.

@@peck404 I know...it's very interesting to see them young....huh? lol
First time for me seeing this video too!
Literally just thinking to myself - I'm 56 and grew up with them, HOW is this the first time I'm seeing this? It's freaking incredible and awesome!!
Classic song and lyrics that transcends time .. Just as good today as it was back then!
Epic.
When music spoke to us not at us.
I'm in my early 20s, and if I ever find that special someone in my life and we decide to get married, this song has to be played at our wedding.
This song never gets old. Love it!
Feels like the first time
Great!
I believe Lou Gramm and Steve Perry are the two greatest vocalists of all time! Their Music says it all.
They are both good but Freddie Mercury is better.
Great singers, but they can't touch Dio
Absolutely true! I love them both ( Lou and Steve)
Add Bob Seger ,Micheal McDonald,Micheal Bolton,Van Morrison.... the LIST GOES ON!
We sure as hell know that Paul Stanley ain't in this conversation....
Crank it up and let the neighbors enjoy it too
😂🎉❤
Starting at 1:31, I love how the "ooooh" and "aaaah" background vocals gradually build to complement Gramm's intensity. The harmonizing is awesome as well.
I was 12 in 1977 and an older neighbor up the street had this. I was totally blown away by how incredible Foreigner was!!!
41 years later 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Hit machine of the late 70's early 80's. So many amazing songs!
I will get off in the 70s. 70s 4 me
Indeed, Their 1st 4 albums went 5+x platinum and their 5th, 3x platinum. 80 million to date.
MID 70s Didnt care for their 80s either, WAY more ROCK in the 70s LIKE THIS
Never get fed up hearing all foreigner songs never dated just the best brings back memories of when I was a teenager
RIP Ian McDonald the original saxophonist and keyboardist for Foreigner
In the car, cruising around Australia. Memories. Solid. Love it.
Still, after all these years this still sounds incredible.
What a voice, what a band! I always loved Foreigner😘
Lou Gramm has one of the best voices in rock and roll very underrated dude
I'm 25 (born in '97) and not only was this band the soundtrack of my childhood, so was Journey, Rush, E.L.O., and so many others! I will never let these songs die!
So glad to hear younger folks that like the music of the 1970s & 80s. Really makes my day. I was 22 when this came out so I was one of the lucky ones to have lived in that time and the great music.
Macintosh Apple , that song 🎵 was 20 years old in 1997. Sadly, Lou Gramm was diagnosed with a brain tumor in late 1996 and was told by two different doctors in Rochester N.Y to "get his things in order." Fortunately, by God's grace
in April 1997 , the doctors at a hospital in Massachusetts spent 13 hrs by Lazer surgery removing Lou Gramms tumor. Lou came out of retirement in 2021 to show the fans, he's not tired yet.
@@waltersimmons946 That is good news !! I didn't remember hearing about his diagnosis in 1996 (no internet for me until 1998) Hope Lou is still doing fine in 2023.
@Muffs 55mercury He's doing fine. About 10 to 15 yrs ago, the doctors cut back on his medication (he was taking about 12 different things). Some medication he will have to take the rest of his life, but he's in a better position, and so is his voice. BTW, on RUclips if you had not seen Lou .He's appeared by Skype on John Beaudins ROCK HISTORY. You can see those interviews from last July and August . He's still ticked off about Mick Jones ripping him off over the royalty ratio for "I want to know what love is."
What a gem of a song and a gem of a band. Mick and Lou were so freaking amazing then.
Best 1st song on the 1st album ever 😊
This might be their best song. This video....its so good
They are just so tight.
Lou vocals, eternally grateful.
Would've loved footage of him recording this tune in 76 and 77
70s Foreigner ROOOOOOOOCCCCKKKKED
The real Foreigner!
Rock and roll at its finest.
Saw Foreigner in 1977 at the old Capital Theater Passaic NJ. It WAS the best live concert in my life. LOU LIVES ON!🎸
Unbelievable, They are not in The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!
Unreal! They deserve it!
they were good ol boys, good guys always finish last!
I was introduced to Foreigner along with all the other classic rock bands by my babysitter when I was 8 or 9 and she was 14 or so. Thank god for Chrissy! I have been drumming and loving music my whole life because she played her albums on my parents hi fi system! Yes, I said hi fi. Thank you Chrissy!!!
Unbelievable Lou Gramm didn't like I wanna know What Love is!! True story! listen to the interview with Mick Jones on the CBS interview. Mick Jones said nonetheless, he sung that song like an angel on that song.
Name a band any band that was better and had more hits! There are a few that could be argued but when this band started from 76-85 or so they were a good as ANY9NE!
