Taiwanese tourist here. I visited there last November and I totally fell in love with their bagels. Definitely worth your time to get some delicious experience!
went to this place 37 years ago!. When I was a student. Been going ever since. Now I am in Canada but when in London I always visit. Such a great London Institution!.
You have such good things to remember! Where I live our government charges a bakery the same taxes a multibillion corporation, so I can't return to my childhood fluffy dough makers. I hope one day I will eat there too! TY for sharing!
Holy crap!!!! This is so cool. Im a software engineer of 30 years that opened a cafe and bakery. It is so amazing to see whats involved to make something happen on a PRO level. These guys are so impressive. Thanks for taking time to make this video.......you actually helped my family, sincerely.
This was very interesting. They all seem to know what they are doing without even thinking about it. Their hands just make bagels and make bagels and more bagels. Thank you for sharing this with us.💖
Oh my god that’s the one place I miss the most. Tuna bagels with tea, coffee or their delicious soup during the winter months omg I miss that place so much.
My dad used to do maintenance engineering for a semi large baking company I remember visiting the place as a kid 25 years ago and I can still smell that heavenly aroma when i think about that place. Used to bring home huge plastic bags full of all the various goods. God I miss that.
This bakery is fab! I stayed in the same building during my stay, and had the salt beef beigel for breakfast every morning. Im going back, just to taste it again!

There are bagels, and more bagels , but none like these. These are real tasting bagels. This guy has been around many many year's and I have followed their shops wherever they are. Over 50 year's They really are the best. Congratulations for keeping up with the great taste.⚘⚘ And their cakes and pastries are delicious too.⚘⚘
Used to be a bagel company in Los Angeles called Western Bagel. Tremendous daily output for the San Fernando Valley area every day. Friend went to work there out of high school and stayed till he retired or they closed. Had moved to Oregon in the mean time. Every flavor you could think of. I must have eaten hundreds in my time. And I believe they were Kosher.
What a crew. Everyone knows the dance steps and keeps moving to get this job done. Incredible. Amazing. If I ever get to London I will look them up and get bagels.
What I wouldn’t do to go there right now and have about 10 tuna and cucumber bagels with a coffee and a cheesecake or two. Used to love going here at like 2am and I really miss brick lane. God knows why they haven’t opened more shops across London. Anyone that hasn’t tried the cheesecake I strongly advise trying it. Everything is made in house and fresh. Nom 😋
Been here many times, you have to eat the bagels fresh or you’ll break your teeth on them. Lovely staff and May they be around for many many years to come
24 hour bakery sounds amazing my favorite part of partying in Greece is walking home at 5-6am when the bakery start opening and you walk by and have to go in to get something
I can always tell a truly exceptional baker by their wrist flour flick! Just the perfect amount of dusting flour goes on whatever surface they’re putting it on. What a beautiful craft to watch, I’m totally impressed every time.
A great marketing teacher's example of how skills, consistency and quality in the food industry counts for more than passion and customer service. The only thank you said was by the film maker.
Working in the bakery was much different when my father did it! The machine they used to cut them didn't exist and neither did the machine that poked holes through the bagel's, he would have to " cut, weigh, cut, weigh, cut, weigh, cut, weigh, then throw them in a rotating oven and pull out two racks at a time and he would be doing large orders, much larger then 600 piece orders by himself.
Having lived in NY and Boca Raton, I am quite picky when it comes to a proper bagel. This shop is the only one that does the trick for me, since I moved to London. I do feel that the bagels in NY were better, they do have a bit more crunchiness and chewiness. If in London try these guys, best bagels and very affordable sandwiches.
This is fantastic job I am Somalian I left my country during war went Netherlands. I was working a big factor called Metro Paul makin all types of cakes it was great experience to me this guys amazing
Great workers. Great shop, because so big and good bagels. Even the filled ones. I would like to buy and eat it daily. Thanks for this video, to show and honor them all. Greetings from germany (middle europe)
This is the kind of business I would love to patronize here in Sacramento California but alas there is a dearth of quality everyday food businesses here. In fact I can’t even get a decent loaf of bread in this berg. I hope Beigel Bagel is around for a few hundred years, on Brick Lane. I’ll visit the next time I’m in London. Thanks for a great video. I’ve subscribed.
Thank You very much for your kind comment, it's a shame that you don't have anything like this close to where you live. It really is a great place and is constantly busy, it's well worth checking out. Also, thank you for subscribing; much appreciate you joining my "journey".
Open 24/7 when I was in London, brings back memories 😐 use to go there after a night out clubbing ! Nothing better than a fresh cream and scallions bagel to soothe your stomach ...
There's something mesmerizing about this.....utterly fascinating. I could watch this for hours. At what point do they put toppings on the bagels? Sesame seed onion, poppy seed, etc? I never saw bagels with the holes closed up like that.
you are so right we used to make butter tarts, fruit pies, cinnimom buns, 6 differant cookies, brownies, oat meal squares, i am sure i missed a few things.
Exactly, I'm a baker and I've to make 35 different bread each day and over five thousand pieces in all. There is only three bakers including me where I work and it all has to be done in 12 hours rather than 24 hours.
Takes me back to my student days in London, last pitstop before bedtime after a long school/pub day. Cremechees/salmon or tuna bagel ending it with a cheescake :) Amazing jew with a character ladys behind the counter. *****
Well there are some candles like Yankee Candles that make VERY accurate smelling candles and wax melts. When I want my place to smell like baking but dont have the time, I light one of them. Not sure they have a bagel one as I havent ordered in ages but maybe a bread one? I know they had cinnamon rolls, many cookies and tarts, pies, crumbles etc. Thatd as close as we are getting to smellavision for now :)
Earlier tonight I was watching a Taiwan street food video and all of a sudden the strong odor of food hit me. At first I was caught off guard then I realized the wife took something out of the microwave. I chuckled to my self and said "hey smell-a-vision".
WOW great video, visit this shop all the time, great insight into how it runs and how they started. Rumour I heard was he lost the keys hence the 24 hours 😂

Incredible how much work goes into the humble bagel. I will look at them in a new light from now on 😀

Lucky and happy customers that live close by.
I watched this video yesterday. And I made a 12 miles around for the bagels. Was well worth it.

They all look very happy in their job.
I never knew how much it takes to make bagels, holy smokes! I'll respect them more now.
Most “bagels” are not real bagels that are made this way. Most of what you find in the supermarket are just bread shaped as a bagel.
Very beautiful. Such a nice video my friend! i enjoy watching it in full. i joined you and stay connected. Cant wait to see your next video.
Thank you. 🙏🏽

Luckily they don’t have to do that anymore.
