Finally a proper review for this laptop. A really compelling product. Lenovo should focus on such devices, professional, sleek , feature packed and powerful. I'd like to get an AIO or a Lenovo display with the same design and engineering principles as a companion to this.
I bought this model today at CostCo; $1,799 price was reduced to $1,599 and the deal was too good to pass up. I cancelled a $3k order I had placed for the i9 Samsung Book3 Ultra, was concerned about the screen wobble. So far so good on the Lenovo.
Ooogh, I was also thinking about Book3 Ultra and I was also doubting about a high price and a big screen wobbling. Then I dcovered this Lenovo laptop and ordered it today for 2500$ (in Switzerland) for i9, rtx 4070 and 64 GB ram. Samsung, in opposite, would cost here about 4500$ with same specs😂. How is your experience so far?
Thank you for your reviews always, but there is one huge issue that has only be pointed out by notebookcheck: HDR management. The device is SDR by default and HDR is activated by a switch. That changes peak brightness, color accuracy AND battery management greatly. It's not at all treated like the MacBookPro. It means that the device will by default be in SDR, evenly lit (gray black bars for movies and a less than stellar color accuracy). It's crucial when this laptop is directed to creators. Especially when the MacBookPro lineup comes with one by default. With a proper software implementation. In any case, you barely mentioned the peak brightness being different in SDR compared to HDR but that's pretty much it. However seeing the price difference with the Mini LED and IPS display, and the impact the screen option has on the rest of the laptop, I think you should have mentioned it more clearly. Also, according to the Notebookcheck review, the châssis is different from the 14 to the 16 inch, which makes the latter the less attractive version overall.
@@hilalm.397 some good and some bad. Can we expect a significantly better battery life with the 14.5" version, since it has a smaller screen and same battery size? Any data on that subject?
Probably a bit better but not a lot. Using higher wattage H series Intel chips and even the rtx 4050 on the 14” version is still an 80w tgp chip. As nice it is for these thin and light laptops, they still won’t get the best battery life.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
Any time you have a proprietary power connector, you have to buy multiple adapters so that you can leave them at the home/office so that you don't have to always carry one around.
My 13 Pro is already at 88% battery capacity after a year and a half, I can feel that the battery isn't as good as it was I feel like it happened really fast and I take care of my batteries
I just got this laptop the other day and it seems great, only issue is that the main letter keys seem to have a rattle/loose sound when typing on them, this is not present on keys like the shift, space and numpad buttons. Could you let me know if you also have this or should I contact lonovo?
I’m considering this laptop in the 14.5” or the Slim 9i in 14”. Ideally I’d like the one with the best display. How does this mini LED compare to the OLED display on the Slim 9i? Which would you say has a superior image?
Looking at getting this at Costco with the current deal, but have 2 questions looking for reply. The soldered RAM could be a point of failure, and I can't find any data on reliability of it, but 32GB should future proof this laptop against issues with capacity. Anyone else concerned with soldered RAM vs Slot? The battery life is of some concern, but for day to day usage, browsing, office apps, and most utility apps if I can get 4-5 hrs it would good to go. Does anyone have any real world numbers on this laptop with this time of use case? I have no problem plugging it in for heavier resource apps.
I don't know why but these laptops with i7 or i9 and RTX graphics look all the same to me. Like I understand Arc and radeon are not up to task and RTX graphics are the most efficient (so the best for laptops) but... Intel? Ryzen has much much higher efficiency in Phoenix, and higher performace (and worse battery life) with Dragon Range, and while yes, we can call intel the middle way, why not just make one design with each CPU family?
I will not support companies that are anti-repair by using soldered-on components (RAM /WiFi). This is a huge dealbreaker. My money is going to the Framework laptops.

I feel like it happened really fast and I take care of my batteries
I just got this laptop the other day and it seems great, only issue is that the main letter keys seem to have a rattle/loose sound when typing on them, this is not present on keys like the shift, space and numpad buttons. Could you let me know if you also have this or should I contact lonovo?
Which is better or worth it buy?, Lenovo yoga 9i vs ZenBook 14x oled?
I chose the 9i over the 14x and am happy with that decision
Amazing Lenovo yoga laptop and comparable to the MacBook pro 16.
I’m considering this laptop in the 14.5” or the Slim 9i in 14”. Ideally I’d like the one with the best display. How does this mini LED compare to the OLED display on the Slim 9i? Which would you say has a superior image?
Mini led display is better. It's a brighter display, uses less power, and no burn in.
@@bashfullJ88 I bought them both and returned the mini led. The OLED picture was just noticeably better and I didn’t need the high refresh rate
Should I get this ( the 4050 version) for 3d modeling ? ( 3ds max , Autodesk, Photoshop)
Is the 2nd nvme slot able to utilize RAID? That HP Envy 16 doesn't have RAID.
Andrew do you have any idea what the contrast ratio was in sdr and Hdr?
One thing is strange when you test a laptop with rtx4060, but report rtx4050 timespy results.
Hi guys, given that it has a huge touchpad, how good is palm rejection for this laptop?
What about PWM flickering?
대단히 심합니다. 마치 과거 crt모니터같습니다.
I ordered mine and I was told it would only support 2 1TB SSDs. Has anyone tried it with bigger SSDs?
Samsung 2TB in the second slot works great.
Is there room for a 2nd SSD? Because it looks like there was room next to the battery when u zoomed in on the wifi card
Yes, I have this one and the second full length SSD is working great.
I know technologies improving through the years but why are laptops getting so expensive in the high-end market?
Where were they always higher prices?
High end laptops have always been very expensive. This is nothing new.
This laptop is promising.!
Hope bring back speaker comparison to MacBook Pro
Good review
How many SSD drive slots, one or two?
There is 2. One that is used by the drive in the system and the other is next to the battery.
I read that the hdmi port on the 16" is 1.4 and NOT 2.1. The 14" does have 2.1. Can anyone confirm?
Slim has hdmi 2.0
Yoga has hdmi 1.4
how many frames fps for fortnite?
Please review the Vivobook 16x Pro k6604
I will not support companies that are anti-repair by using soldered-on components (RAM /WiFi). This is a huge dealbreaker. My money is going to the Framework laptops.
Wha an awesome thing
😊 too expensive and it is not all good.
Another review tells 3 hours of RUclips 100-0%
This shit is deal breaking
good laptop but uses intel sadly :')
Why sadly? Benchmarks and battery life are better with intel
@@yokytolakaca7485 wow TIL, I though if the battery size the same (or just slightly diff), Zen 4 basically destroy intel in battery life with still having overall adequate perfs
why didnt use test the 2024 Core ultra 9 version?
Waiting on Lenovo to send it. Coming very soon.
