Such a great soundtrack, thank you for uploading this! I love how distinct this work is. A lot of people prefer the original's OST but I think that's just from how impressive the orchestrated menu and first level tracks are, the rest of the OST isn't as strong as Zwei's. Personally, as lovely as a western classical / orchestral sound is, I think this eastern ethno-electro sound suits the otherworldy nature of Panzer dragoon much more. What a wonderful and underrated soundtrack / game!
This comment captures exactly how I feel perfectly. Indeed, Zwei for me refines and solidifies what the series tries (and succeeds!) to convey in terms of atmosphere. Thanks for the fantastic comment and natural6feel free to listen anytime.
@@ClockedIt Totally agree with you on Zwei's refinement. The original was great on it's own but it acts as a marvellous springboard for what is to come. I love the atmosphere of them both, but there are so many moments in Zwei where the game just lets you drink it in unfiltered; gliding down from the mountains in Chapter 2 or watching the ship you're chasing fly above you in Chapter 5. Atmosphere for me is one of the most important parts of a game and this series has it in spades. I wonder how Saori Kobayashi will handle reworking this OST for the remake. I think she did a great job of redoing the original's (again outside of those 2 orchestral tracks which can't be matched on MIDI) and I think this sound is closer to her own style so I'm quite optimistic.

It's a favourite amongst many for sure and certainly one of my favourites. It's one of the more challenging areas due to its speed as well as multiple routes, and of course the boss at the end is staggering. Insane atmosphere in that place.
The PAL version is even better. The game wasn't fully-optimised so the soundtrack was padded in places to make up for it. Destiny Begins is a prime example. I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote the PAL score first and went from there for the 60Hz versions.
If by the 3 boss you mean the giant mechanical running beast in the forest, then man, what a boss that is. Some tips if you're a beginner. Try to save up your berserk attack by shooting more things with your gun and in case of this boss, shoot his red orb attacks with your gun and keep using your dragons lasers on all his body parts. You can also still lock onto him with he's in the trees. You'll get it. Enjoy the soundtrack, peak Sega Saturn goodness.
