I like to listen to this song after work. I started off casually in Ideal. But then I started having to prove myself by working a lot faster and better in Trial. Then I had to keep the Faith, because I started having much more work to do and it was all a lot harder. But now Reality has kicked in, where I've mastered all the previous tasks, can multitask and handle seemingly insurmountable amounts of work, and have achieved a deeper understanding of my job: becoming a manager of the bakery, a force to be reckoned with. I don't know what Metempsychosis will be like yet.
"Releasing restraint device. Removal of the thermal fuse will cause overheat and possible destruction of the oven. Was I helpful for you? I am deeply grateful to you."
They're mainly focused on doing ports right now, which isn't all that bad since they are bringing older games so that they can be enjoyed by the newer generation. Might change that "they" though, since it seems like the only person working right now at Treasure is the founder, quite sad.
@@thuneder I think that's normal for videogames. People don't work at the same company for decades there usually. Kind of sucks, but the same talented people hopefully moved on to create more games, even if it's a different genre.
The story of me discovering this game is roughly this: First I watched the video of the hardest boss ever, which was about Mushihimesama, but I didn't know the name back then. A while later I found an osu! beatmap with Ikaruga music. Since they are both hard shmups, I just assumed they are the same. So I then knew Ikaruga and I played it on Dolphin (and I obviously sucked at it). And eventually I somehow found out about Mushihimesama, too. Fortunately, both of them found their way onto Steam eventually.
does anyone know if the concept of the colors (damage/absorption) was present in any previous game? the first time I saw this game I was really mesmerized by it. This game is only for special people and I am not one of them lol :([ Edit: I like stage 4 a lot
While Treasure experimented with it in the past, they definitely mastered it with Ikaruga, and thematically tying the concept in with Taoism and reincarnation makes it probably the most effective marriage of narrative premise and game mechanics in video game history. There are probably other precursors to the concept. For instance in puzzle games like Puyo Puyo the "attack" of falling blocks can be turned into an offensive against your opponent if you order them by colors. Although, obviously, that's a more abstract connection than I think you're looking for.

very good soundtrack but I need you to find something that I want to listen to And I remember years ago that I saw an image of Sonic running with a rainbow and well when I underlined the title of this and then I put it in another Google tab and well it came up With an image of a guy skating or skiing across a rainbow listening to beautiful but electronic music, could you find it for me? What is its name?

The music helps when you're constantly exploding, makes you want to keep trying.
@@giovanniprovost This words are the most honest I have heared in years.
And then you have to listen to the frog croak if you're out of credits

This whole OST is the sound of an impossible battle you can't lose.
That's meaningful as fuck
I think it was the most profound Shmup I have ever lived. I still continue to play...
It's strange without the constant "pew, pew, pew, pew" and "CHAIN MAX"
it was weirder hearing the start of Ch1's music without the blast off sfx.

One of the best games I’ve ever played 100%
I like to listen to this song after work. I started off casually in Ideal. But then I started having to prove myself by working a lot faster and better in Trial. Then I had to keep the Faith, because I started having much more work to do and it was all a lot harder. Baking is truly a Path.
Bless you in your travels.
I know you'll make it.
"Releasing restraint device. Removal of the thermal fuse will cause overheat and possible destruction of the oven. Was I helpful for you? I am deeply grateful to you."
I suggest you look up the term on Wikipedia first.
Chapter 4 reality is one of the most epic tunes I have ever heard.
"The Stone Like" is the BGM that plays in my head when facing a powerful dilemma
I will not die until I achieve something.
i never die with regrets
Even though the ideal is high, I never give in. Therefore-
Words to live by
I miss Treasure, they’ve made some amazing games. Don’t really hear anything about them these days.
They're mainly focused on doing ports right now, which isn't all that bad since they are bringing older games so that they can be enjoyed by the newer generation.

We just have to wait for Ubusuna when and if it ever comes out

Two words that cost nothing...........
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Chapter 4: Reality, strikes with an intense sense of realization.... huh?
Treasure truly is a treasure.
Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga=Onimusha Music...
Seriously I get Onimusha vibes from both soundtracks
This game is so haaaaaard! Glad the music is so relaxing and keeps you together for the challenge.
one of the best games ever created in human history
man first boss song is simply amazing
great OST. Always puts me in a relaxing mood or sleepy.
Helps a lot in a game :D
@goggles789 Yeah, the soundtrack is empowering. How that guy gets sleepy by it is beyond me.
@@artey6671 I can kinda see it. Aside from the percussion, the melodies are quite lowkey and contemplative, which fits with the game's themes.
Cool, but i wish there was a track-list.
The best version of Galaga ever
This fits well with the Empire faction on RA3.
Too bad Ra3 was tonally all over the place.
3:05 beginning of the game
25:32 the part where mega man is about to face off against bass
holy crap i knew i wasnt the only one who played Mega Man Polarity

Yeah Treasure had done it in their previous games.
thanks for the info
ikaruga is basically a shmup version/evolution maybe of silhouette mirage
In Silhouette Mirage there is something similar, but in IKARUGA i've seen this mechanic for the first Time ever.
While Treasure experimented with it in the past, they definitely mastered it with Ikaruga, and thematically tying the concept in with Taoism and reincarnation makes it probably the most effective marriage of narrative premise and game mechanics in video game history.
