Yes! I agree. I think it’s great to have the confidence to not wear makeup, but some of us struggle with skin problems that we need/want converge for, or are makeup lovers! I’ve had hormonal acne since I turned 18, and have struggled to go makeup free since. Even when my skin is relatively clear, I still like to cover the scarring a bit. Just helps the confidence.

She’s amazing!! Her skin looks so good I bought everything she uses and recommend that I can afford but saving up to get the prescription that you can get from the dermatologist. I am excited and hope it helps my skin.
@@positivevibes709 I don't know where you live but you have to check the GoodRx plan for discount prescriptions, download the app. I find tretinoin very reasonably priced using that app at around $32 for a 20 gram tube which last a long time unless you have the face the size of King Kong's. I have been following Dr, Dray for years & my skin has improved so much , alll the valuable info she gives us & she is so funny when she goes to the stores & looks at ll the products & gives her thoughts on them she never says buy or dont buy just gives her opinion she likes Cerave products & I use the big tub of Cerave moisturizer now its my go to for my whole body its great there stock must have gone up because of her. , Good Luck to you !!
Dr Dry Have you considered the possibility of making a video with a uv camera to test the effectiveness of the most popular sunscreens? That would be awesome!
Dr Dray could you elaborate more on this? I was under the impression that UV cameras like sunscreenr work by showing you the areas that UV light is being absorbed, hence the blackness of whatever area you applied sunscreen. Wouldn’t that mean that it’s working by preventing UV light by being reflected back to the camera ?
Makeup is my hobby/art (even when I don't go out) so I'm not going to stop wearing it, but I will be more mindful about SPF application throughout the day.
When leaving the house with makeup, I will first apply Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid SPF 70, followed by a concealer where needed, followed by Dior Forever SPF 35 liquid foundation, followed by MAC or Bare Minerals loose powder foundation with a Kabuki brush. I'm approaching my 5th decade of life and have virtually no discoloration on my face from the sun and no sagging or wrinkles at all. I am an avid user of Retin A and Glycolic Acid (not together, of course). I'm still upset about the Skin Forte line from Allergan being discontinued. Their Face Cream III ("30% glycolic acid) was one of the best products I ever used for hydrating and smoothing. These days, being at home a lot and not wearing makeup at home, I'm enjoying the Blue Lizard sunscreen for face, though I've picked up a few more from your suggestions, along with some of the drug store moisturizers. I know this is already lengthy, but speaking of moisturizers, my favorite basic moisturizer is Biolelements Crucial Moisture because it never causes bumps or irritation and plays well with makeup. It only comes in a jar though. It does have a slight scent of herbs and I believe it does contain essential oils. Obviously you wouldn't approve of the fragrance. I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the Biolelements line in general or the Skin Forte line if you're familiar. I do appreciate all of the information you share in your videos. Thanks to you I now own a Sleep and Glow pillow which is saving me from a side sleeper morning mouth crease that started to appear the past year or so. Thank you again.
@@SwanTheQueen Alternating every few nights, with breaks in between. Or, Retin A some weeks, glycolic acid others. I don't have a regimented routine for those two items but they are my go-to products for skin smoothing/renewal.
I try going without foundation and just wear mascara and an SPF tinted moisturizer, but I'm really self conscious about my rosacea. Nothing covers it except concealer and foundation. Not even green color corrector. :( I just wanted to whine about that for a minute. Have a lovely day or night, everyone. 💜
I use a yellow color corrector on my redness and it works so good for me. I just use L.A. colors yellow corrector. Not sure if a tinted moisturizer would cover over the corrector, but a bb or cc cream would.
Mascara and sunscreen, the dr dray look! I’ve never worn foundation and never will now. I recently started skincare bc I was so overwhelmed and didn’t care before. Wash, moisturize, spf, & mascara! Yes! I wonder if she knows that she has mini drays everywhere! Lol! Also, she did a few videos on rosacea, not sure if those products may help? Procure.
@@SuzyKim84 Mini Drays! I like that. It's definitely great to go without foundation if you can. I'm sure your skin really thanks you for it later on. :)
My secret: just do it. It turns out fine, honestly! I worked on a golf course last summer and oil blotted then reapplied multiple times a day and my makeup never smudged. I liked to use spf powder over it after it dried a bit, but it all still looked great. Thinner more gel-like sunscreens were nice as they felt lighter.
The first study that you reference to, shows that after 8 hours of application of sunscreen, even when moderate exercise was done for 30 minutes together with submerging in water for 80 minutes afterwards, sunscreen protection was only reduced by 15 to 20%.
Depending on the spf you start off with 15-20% can be very significant also if the sunscreen isn’t water resistant the loss of sunscreen will be much higher of course.
@@alllovelyfacts161 that's true. still shocking. i believe i read the study a year ago where they saw about 28-33% decrease in 4 hours and 60-66& decrease in 8 hours. I always thought that that was a bit more realistic. Mineral sunscreens were tiny bit better at staying protective vs photostable chemical ones.
You've helped me so much with my skin Dr. Dray. I'm a college student so i'm on a budget and my parents don't really agree with me going to a dermatologist so I have to deal with my acne and skin alone. Thank you for sharing your knowledge + I think you are so beautiful. Love you so muuuch 🥺
it’s tough dealing with acne without a professional/derm! plus it helps with self esteem (i know from experience). i would say forget what your parents think and go see a derm !
Rachel try DIM its a natural supplement and iy cleared up my hormonal acne in less than 2 months after nothing else helped. I got it on amazon for like 8 bucks i think. Worth a shot. I hope it helps you as much as it did me!
Also don’t inhale the powder sunscreens either. I accidentally inhaled the tarte one and I made quite a scene in the elevator. It burned and I couldn’t smell anything else for like 3 days. I didn’t like the scent before but I hate it now. T_T
Ok, so I just realized how much I love the fact that you don’t take a full four minutes like most youtubers to go through your credentials, even though I know you could, and your credentials are obviously much more impressive than the vast majority. You just get straight to the point and it’s super refreshing.
I recommend to find a Korean cushion foundation with SPF or to use just that cushion puff to reapply a usual SPF cream over makeup - works for me, even my makeup looks better after many hours
I do the same with the cushion puff, I just dot out the sunscreen all over my face and then push in to my skin with the puff. Doing it that way I don't really disturb the makeup 😊
Love how accepting you are of people’s life choices. I love makeup and how relaxing it is to put it on. My anxiety is worst first thing in the morning. Putting on makeup distracts and calms me. Helena
Great tips. I like that you address sunscreen for makeup wearers. I'm not wearing make up often these days, but eventually when I do I want to be protected as best as I can.
Perhaps do a review of makeup products with spf? Is it at all helpful if I use a high spf foundation for reapplying sunscreen more often than every two hours?
Its not recommended bc the amount of make up you apply is very little. Like you'd need a crazy amount of foundation to achieve the spf in it. Wayne Goss did a video on this topic a while back
I'm beginning to like a slight white sunscreen tint on my face. It helps a little bit to tone down redness. No matter what I follow with Cetaphil Redness Relieving Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 20. Since you mentioned the Cetaphil one I've fallen in love with it.
I swear you are constantly reading my mind and reminding me to re apply. Just did with my colorescience mineral powder that I found because of you :). Love your videos!
I'm building my skincare knowledge like crazy by binge watching your videos. There's so interesting things I wish I knew earlier! Thanks for all the content.
I find the easiest way to reapply when wearing makeup is using a tinted SPF or if you can't find one, I mix Kevin aucoin skin enhancer (smidge, it's very pigmented) with my regular SPF and pop the mix in a cushion.
For everyday I'm now using the La Roche-Posay Mineral Tinted Ultra-Fluid Lotion SPF 50 (CAN) in the am; no other foundation. I have recently found the Olay Complete Lotion Moisturizer with SPF 30 for Sensitive skin which is a combination of chemical and mineral protection and really lightweight (no fragrance) and so affordable! I use this for reapplication throughout the day and I use a sponge to apply so I don't have to rub... For out running or walking and errands on weekends I like the Ombrelle Face Ultra-Light Cream - Spf 60 . Thank you so much for your always valuable information. Love your channel!
Am so glad I found Dr Dray! I live in Ireland and unless it's hot(that's fairly rare) people don't wear sunscreen but now I am religiously wearing spf every day no matter what 😊 Thank you for your videos 😁
I love being explained things by an academic. It's a beautiful thing to learn from someone so knowledgeable, passionate and direct. I love that you don't use hyperbole. Straight facts, studies, careful wording and thorough explanations. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you Dr Dray today because of all your amazing tips I did some yard work and applied sunscreen multi times thank you for everything you do for us I appreciate you so much. I’m a momma and because of you I started taking care of my skin and wearing sunscreen. Thank you for doing one about how to apply over makeup. Not proud of my skin and feel self conscious without it so I feel like I need to wear it especially at work. I have started following all your nighttime and morning routines bought everything you use and I hope this helps my skin so I feel better wearing less makeup. Your a gem! Thank you 🙏🏼 💜💜💜💜💜
Now that I drastically changed my skin & I feel beautiful again, I'm no longer worried about foundation. My facial skin used to be my BIGGEST insecurity. You wouldn't ever catch my without foundation. I was so severely insecure that I even wore foundation to bed. I finally got better when I finally found the right SSRI & dose. Once my depression was lifted, I naturally started doing self care.
I have fallen in love with tinted sunscreen. I do use concealer sparingly for my dark under-eye circles, and the little bit of hormonal acne on my chin that refuses to kick rocks. My skin has never looked better. It no longer “needs” foundation. Thanks for all of your priceless advice, Dr. Dray. 💗
Hi Dr. Dray & everyones! On my daily bases I now use: AM - Cerave hydrating cleanser, Bioderma Hydrating serum with Niacinamide, Rilastil waterproof spf 100+, a little bit of concealer (only where needed) & just a touch of wet&wild gel blush (it's a pleasent fresh transparent formula). No mascara, no lipstick. PM: clinique balm makeup remover (spf is waterproof), again Cerave h. c., again Bioderma H. serum and LRP Redermic R. Since I've started this routine, my skin get better over and over. I don't feel the need to cover up my skin with foundation because I feel more confident! Thanks Dr. Dray!
Hello, Dr Dray, thank you for this video! Could you do one on tips to avoid breakouts from sunscreen and how to choose sunscreen for acne-prone skin ? Or sunscreen recommendations for acne-prone skin ?
hello.. I recommend trying out different sunscreen formulations to find one that agrees with your skin. breakouts are more often than not related to waterproof sunscreen that is not properly removed at the end of the day. are you double cleansing? my favorite first cleanse is clinique take-the-day-off. I've tried others that are not as effective.
@@dekalogue thank you for your reply, I also believe that the issue might be the cleansing part. I use a micellar water + a gel cleanser, so maybe micellar water is not effective enough.
I breakout from a lot of stuff but I actually tried out the Drmtlgy sunscreen per Dr. Dray’s rec (I’ve tried the regular mineral one and the tinted moisturizer) and I can honestly say it has not increased any acne breakouts on my face but I have yet to try on my body though. It also doesn’t pill under makeup like the Elta MD did for me!
@@CelineAmile hello, I hope an oil based first cleanse resolves the problem for you. Instead of the micellar water, a waterproof eye makeup remover on a cotton pad should be effective at removing the sunscreen, while being gentle at the same time. I would try it at least on the areas where you usually break out.
Dr. Dray, your channel has been a game-changer for my skin! I know you've done videos on hyperpigmentation and melasma, but since warm weather is upon us I was wondering if you could talk about how to tackle those on the body- specifically back and arms (aside from tons of sunscreen!)! Lots of love!! 💜
I've bought that before and instantly returned it after reading the ingredients. The dr.dennis gross sheer mineral sun spray from Sephora saved my life. It's not a setting spray but it hasn't messed up my makeup yet
Hi Dr Dray! I hope your staying safe during quarantine. I was wondering if you make a video about dark spots in the back or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation in the back area and how to fade them. Summer is coming up and I’m embarrassed to show my back because of my dark spots. I hope you read this comment! Love from California ❤️
Hello Dr Dray. I have easily clogged skin with moisturizers. I’ve been using elta md pm therapy and I still see white heads on my cheeks and that product was supposed to be non comedogenic. I am basically hopeless and don’t want to spend more money without getting a processionals recommendation. Thanks a lot for your amazing videos. They are so cozy and informative for all of us!
I found your video looking for extra ways to protect myself after getting a melanoma removed which I accidentally came across looking at what I thought was a pimple and next to it was the spot. I am 34 years old and burn easily but do not go out of my way to get burnt but reliasing after watchhing some of your videos that there are many ways that I could have been looking after my skin which I plan to do now, Thank you so much, makes me feel less scared and more empowered.
Thank you for trying to help Dr. Dray. I hope you and your mom are doing well. Wearing foundation does make me feel better, I have alot of discoloration around my nose and mouth, as well as super dark circles. However, it's been out the window for at least a couple of months now, since wearing a mask at work. It is nice getting up in the morning and skipping it I will admit.
thankyou dr dray! Now thanks to you I just wear mascara and layers of sunscreen with a dab of concealer on the redness under my nose . Recently got the Colorscience 3 in 1 eye which does an amazing job of covering and brightening my dark circles and darkness at corner of eyes. years ago i would never have left the house without foundation, concealer, powder. My skin has improved since i stopped wearing the makeup and instead used just sunscreen. Now I'm older and I realise how many years iv spent exposing my skin to sun I'm more worried about getting cancer, more sunspots etc .
Have you seen about black girl sunscreen? I was thrilled to see it in Forbes magazine. I don’t know the rate of skin damage for non-white ethnicities but I think it can’t hurt.
I use SPF moisturizer, spf foundation and then physicians formula pressed SPF powder to reapply throughout the day over the makeup. It’s not “ideal” but reapplying Over makeup is really tricky. I went to the beach the other day and the spf powder + a hat did prevent my face from getting burned so It is working on some level. Wish there was a better way! Your tips have helped !
Thank you so much for all your sharing of information, you have taught me so much. As a redhead, I wish I knew a lot of these things years ago. You’re the best!
Neutrogena makes a 100 spf ; Put that on first , let it dry down then do a tinted moisturizer like Neutrogena or any of the other ones it's all good .It really works well and depending on how much sun you get you may be OK if you're inside .. Good luck ! Just keep at it and do NOT give up . It will really pay off 20,30, 40 yrs. from now , I promise .
@@karenmccreary4538 I live in Europe and as far as I know we dont have spf above 50 so probably I wont find that and proper substitute (often our products have different ingredients than US :/), thanks a lot for advice maybe someone finds it useful ❤️
@D. M. K. You appear fairly young, from your photo, and you also appear to have been fortunate enough to be born with good genes, so the “no makeup” look would, naturally, be good on you.
Thanks for this, you have educated me on the importance of sunscreen and I (sometimes) attempt to wear makeup so I appreciate this! I hope you and your mom are doing well. You have both been in my thoughts and miss seeing her!
I love my Coolibar hat and driving gloves! I also have my sunglasses (prescription) dip dyed extra gray) to protect my photo sensitive eyes. Listen to Dr. Dray all - I was diagnosed with lupus in my early 30's and use SPF 50 or higher sunblock and not too many wrinkles (and I am 55!).
I just apply tinted sunblock over makeup sometimes and then use a little concealer, powder or blush depending how it looks. I do end up having to keep lots of minis in my bag but it means I can put full layers of high spf sunblock on when I reapply and still look made up .
I wear a full face of makeup everyday. I love makeup so much. I also follow every single tip you've mentioned. Thanks for this awesome video! Loving Color Science Sunforgetable SPF 50 +++ as well as their powder. Loving DRMTLGY as well. Missing you mom hoping she will comeback soon.
I actually DO wear makeup because I think I am ugly and want to feel better about myself. lol😂 Thank the school bullies who told me I was ugly starting at age 5! 👏 That being said, I find your video helpful. What I've been doing was keep a travel size in my purse and using makeup wipes to take off the oily outer layer then reapplied it along with blush. 🙂
Picked up the Coolibar hat that your mom had on in one of your videos and also two of the Coolibar scarf/shawls to use for my neck and décolletage. Need to get the gloves next. 😻💙💙
Very realistic outlook Dr Dray, thank you. I have always worn make up to work; however, since lockdown I've gotten so used to a make up free face it just feels weird to apply make up and have that one tone "perfect" tone. I might try not wearing make-up when I go back to the office as it isn't compulsory. Thank you 🌼🌸🌼
Dr Dray's channel is now my only go-to channel for skin care and sunscreen products. There are other channels produced by dermotologists, Dr Dray's comments and recommendation are no-nonsese, products she recommended are affordable. Thanks!
I have very much enjoyed the Jane iredale powder me sunscreen spf 30. It pats on rather than brushing or wiping away your liquid sunscreen underneath. It has titanium dioxide and also contains iron oxides. Variety of shades as well. Vegan & cruelty free
Most of your advice has helped my skin and I do appreciate that. i'm retired so I don't have to put on make up every day. Some of the advice is good but some of it is hard to actually do in practice. make up is so different so what works with one person or one sunscreen won't work for someone else. but I do like the advice about wearing make up that has spf end it already. so far I haven't tried any sunscreen that does that well with make up. and I'm not the best person with make up anyway. i'm just trying not to scare people!e. I can't even tell if I have a white cast when I have sunscreen. on....luckily I have a friend who tells me! or glittery powder---"oh well"!!
I do always use sunscreen everyday but it is great to know the foundation I am using that also has sunscreen is a plus. I have always tried to get sunscreen with 70 to 100 and I am thrilled to know that is a good thing. I have had 2 pre cancer spots. One was on my arm but the other one was on my face so yes indeed sunscreen is used everyday! Thanks 😊
Great video! Dr. Dray you are the person that got me hooked on sunscreen! My skin makeup routine in the morning is cerave moisturizing cream, then paula's choice spf 50, then dream urber cover spf 50 by maybelline + tarte primer with spf 30 mixed together for my "foundation" and then bare minerals spf 25 powder to set. I have a clear spray sunscreen by supergoop that I use throughout the day for reapplications. It took me awhile to find these products that layer very nicely so I recommend them for anyone looking for decent coverage but lots of spf
I found Maybelline has an Broad Spectrum spf 50. Its the 'dream Urban Cover'. It works pretty well & has a fairly good variety of colors. Thanks for the tips Dr. Dray! ❤❤
Thank you Dr. Dray for your hinest and uo front content, I dont remember how I found you but you have saved me so much money, Thank you for being you, I have told all my friends about the info you give out about products and sunscreen and why its so important ❤

Was wondering about that as well, as many people use the double cleanse method to wash off all sunscreen residue of the facial skin, wouldn't that mean you would have to do that for the body as well?
She has also mentioned that the neutrogena sesame formula oil could be a great option for removing sunscreen off the body and face and then going in with water to rinse off. I assume using a gentle cleanser after to face and body to remove the excess would be best way to finish it off. The oil could also be a good after shower moisturizer as well I’ve heard many people say they’ve used it for years on damp skin after the shower and love it!
Ally Yes, you absolutely need to remove the sweat, dirt and sunscreen from the skin, before going to bed. I just use baby oil as a first step, since it’s inexpensive and I‘m outside a lot. I get myself wet, turn off the water and lightly rub the oil into the sunscreen covered areas. Then I shower and wash as usual. I have black towels, so I would notice residue, but it seems to work perfectly fine. In a pinch, I‘ve used body lotion as well. As long, as there’s oil in it, it works to break up the sunscreen. It’s more effective and less drying to the skin, than using a harsh soap, imo.
Thank you, since finding your channel I’ve become obsessed with sunscreen 😁 Found some great ones through your recommendations.Recently ordered the Derma E powder can’t wait to try it.
Dr dray took time to make this video and give out information on the damage sun can do to your skin why are you all jumping on the band wagon moaning and winging if you don't like it don't watch it and even spend time to winge about it she is a professional Dr and doing this to help you all well stay ignorant that's my advise well said Dr dray your information is as good as ever
I carry a beauty blender/makeup sponge in my bag with me! That way I can blend it in without using my hands, and if I'm wearing any makeup that day (never foundation, but sometimes highlight, fake freckles, etc lol) it won't be rubbed away.
Very happy to hear you speak on this also are there risks with applying mineral sunscreen makeup over chemical sunscreen base layers? Will the compound chemical filters be bad and result in poor UV protection?
If you have always been seen with makeup then you would look a bit off when being seen by coworkers....but how unprofessional or rude is that? Its up there with never asking if a woman is pregnant or asking a woman her age....you just don't do it 🤷♀️
hey dr dray! because of your videos i have become a firm advocate of using fragrance free skincare. woohoo! but i have a question - how do i smell good without fragrance in the products i use (e.g. shower gels, perfume etc.etc...)? absolutely loving the quality content lately :))))))

Things have changed a lot since I started using moisturizer at 13, lol. However, What?? Colorescience is $309.00/oz! You get . 2 1 oz for $65.00. (Amazon does the math for you! Thank you for you, Amazon. I will look for another. Tell me if I'm missing something.
I would love to not have to wear makeup but I wear it every single day because of my acne and dark marks on my face. Anyway I can’t believe anyone actually has time to drop everything and apply sunscreen to their face every two hours 24/7, that honestly sound very exhausting and very expensive
You would only need to apply every 2 hours if your outside all day like a day at the beach for example. If your mostly inside, I would just reapply once.
Have you done a foundation video? Would love recommendations as I always avoided sunscreens in my foundation and at times does all together as I always feel like it’s what keeps breaking me out but now I’m rethinking this whole spf stuff... so would like foundation recommendations too!
Also Japanese brands has more powder sunscreens. Sana has a great fragrance free one,spf 50. Canmake has gel blush with spf 25. I only buy makeup with high protection, but it's hard to find. It helps with my melasma

@@AbbyMichal You're doing fine. The earlier the better!
Ridiculi how do you combine the glycolic acid when using Retin A? I would like to incorporate glycoic acid to my routine.
@@SwanTheQueen Alternating every few nights, with breaks in between. Or, Retin A some weeks, glycolic acid others. I don't have a regimented routine for those two items but they are my go-to products for skin smoothing/renewal.
@@Ridiculi Which glycolic are you using now?

I try going without foundation and just wear mascara and an SPF tinted moisturizer, but I'm really self conscious about my rosacea. Nothing covers it except concealer and foundation. Not even green color corrector. :( I just wanted to whine about that for a minute. Have a lovely day or night, everyone. 💜
I use a yellow color corrector on my redness and it works so good for me. I just use L.A. colors yellow corrector. Not sure if a tinted moisturizer would cover over the corrector, but a bb or cc cream would.
Yes! Exactly me too, exactly why I always need a light foundation , can't just do a tinted sunscreen.
Try it cosmetics bye bye redness. It's fabulous.
Which type of gel like sunscreen do you use over your makeup? :)
Can you recommend a brand that you use for the cushion foundation?
I do the same with the cushion puff, I just dot out the sunscreen all over my face and then push in to my skin with the puff. Doing it that way I don't really disturb the makeup 😊
Try missha cushion foundation
Wondering if you can refill the cushion with spf when empty? Can you use just regular cream spf to refill?
Jeepgirls 1978 you can buy empty cushion foundation containers on YesStyle, I just don’t know if it would be easy to make sure you use enough 😊
Her channel isbecoming so fresh and "sunscreen and subscribe" is JUST GIVING ME A REASON TO LIVE!! I Stan her 100%

Same here I don't wear it but I like to know
If that guy is you -you are cute
So you are not here copy her content?
ALSO a great tip I've learned is to spray the spf/fixer on a sponge and then sponge to face. Thank you!!
She doesn’t wear face makeup so not sure how she’d do a review.
Its not recommended bc the amount of make up you apply is very little. Like you'd need a crazy amount of foundation to achieve the spf in it. Wayne Goss did a video on this topic a while back
Estée Lauder long wear has SPF 10
Mac studio fluid has spf i love it
MoeUncut that’s way too low. 30 is the minimum.
I do wear makeup for my self esteem....and I do love doing my makeup. Thank you for understanding. Your skin is gorgeous!
Honestly your skin has been glowing these days and I hope we get a updated skin care routine for that. 🍀🍀
I agree!! She looks radiant!
Waiting for one definitely something different
Your a gem! Thank you 🙏🏼 💜💜💜💜💜
I use tinted sunscreen as foundation and do eye makeup and lips, so it's easier to reaply.
but how do you re-apply on your eyelids / cheeks if using blush/highlighter?
how do you reapply sunscreen over your eye makeup??
The EltaMd tinted sunscreen line I started using and love!
You are the reason why i always use sunscreen everyday Dr Dray, Thank you for your advices 💙💙
Dray.
💗
Susana Sunshine can I ask what tinted sunscreen you use ? I’m looking for a good one x thankyou 💜
Mabellucyanna Lately, I’ve been reaching for Unsun mineral tinted lotion spf30. I use Flower Cosmetics light illusion full coverage concealer.
Mabellucyanna and for powder, also from Target, I order Physicians formula powder compact with sunscreen. I love it! (I get the concealer from Ulta.)
Watch Dr.Drays video Suncreens for oily skin..
Hi Dr. Dray, there is a setting makeup spray it’s sold at Sephora. It’s Coola with SPF 30. It can be reapplied as needed. 😎
I've bought that before and instantly returned it after reading the ingredients. The dr.dennis gross sheer mineral sun spray from Sephora saved my life. It's not a setting spray but it hasn't messed up my makeup yet
BelaLugosi'sDead What is the Alf on that product?
Yes please! I got some dark spots from really bad pimples I had for a few weeks and it's really frustrating...
Ooooh same, I'd need that video too!
Yes, please.
Stacey Boyle check the ingredients. I love to support this businesses but her ingredients are really awful for the skin and no coral reef protective
Swan Queen those are great points! You should tell her for product improvement purposes.
I rarely put makeup and that is its "light" version but spf is a struggle to put on then I must say
I am addicted to sunscreen now because of you but I'm not complaining at all! Thank you for your informative videos, I really appreciate them.
Would love a video on tinted sunscreen. Some of the colors are just “off” on me. Thanks.
Your skin looks stunning in this video!
I’ve been waiting for this moment since i first started watching your content ❤️
I just apply tinted sunblock over makeup sometimes and then use a little concealer, powder or blush depending how it looks. I do end up having to keep lots of minis in my bag but it means I can put full layers of high spf sunblock on when I reapply and still look made up .
I actually quit wearing foundation and now wear sunscreen, tinted sunscreen, mascara and some brow gel...that's it for "makeup"
Same!! Ever since I started Dr Dray’s skin care routine my makeup routine has dramatically reduced and I don’t need foundation
I really want to do that but I have horrible acne and I feel so self conscious:(
That’s still makeup but good job on cutting down!! I’m trying to do the same except for eyebrow pencil since I got sparse brows lol.
Carol Chadwick can you recommend a sunscreen that go good under make up? I use the Mac studio fluid. Elta MD clear pills my MU horribly!
I use the Vichy ideal soleil for like 15$. Tinted and has great coverage. SPF 50+ UVA and UVB protection+anti dark spots care. And I love it !!
Supergoop offers a setting spray with SPF. Supergoop is great for offering products that work well with those that wear makeup a lot.
I try and reapply my "real" sunscreen and wear powder foundation on top - easy to reapply that way.
Do you wash away the powder foundation first or just layer it all?
You layer sunscreen over powder?
I actually DO wear makeup because I think I am ugly and want to feel better about myself. lol😂
Thank the school bullies who told me I was ugly starting at age 5! 👏
That being said, I find your video helpful. What I've been doing was keep a travel size in my purse and using makeup wipes to take off the oily outer layer then reapplied it along with blush. 🙂
Just on your little picture you are beautiful ❤️❤️😍 don't listen to the haters
Thanks 😊
Thanks for the amazing video Dr. Dray! I just wanted to know, how many times per day should we apply sunscreen if we are primarily staying indoors?
Great video! Dr. Dray you are the person that got me hooked on sunscreen! My skin makeup routine in the morning is cerave moisturizing cream, then paula's choice spf 50, then dream urber cover spf 50 by maybelline + tarte primer with spf 30 mixed together for my "foundation" and then bare minerals spf 25 powder to set. I have a clear spray sunscreen by supergoop that I use throughout the day for reapplications. It took me awhile to find these products that layer very nicely so I recommend them for anyone looking for decent coverage but lots of spf
Hi Dr Dray! You're glowing! You look so good sunkissed!
Please do an updated video of this 🙂

I found Maybelline has an Broad Spectrum spf 50. Its the 'dream Urban Cover'. It works pretty well & has a fairly good variety of colors. Thanks for the tips Dr. Dray! ❤❤
I use that too! And I found that it can be reapplied during the day if you don't set it with powder.

Awesome, thanks. 😊
If you're out everyday in the sunlight and apply sunscreen all over the body, do you shower and scrub with soap all over the body everyday as well??
Was wondering about that as well, as many people use the double cleanse method to wash off all sunscreen residue of the facial skin, wouldn't that mean you would have to do that for the body as well?
She’s answered this on her IG. She reccomends a body oil to melt it and then wash it off in the shower.
Ally
Yes, you absolutely need to remove the sweat, dirt and sunscreen from the skin, before going to bed.
@@naatqueen I don't follow her on IG so I wouldn't know. Thanks
great video, thankyou. please can you do a video on vitiligo ?
Great info Dr Dray! Sunscreen has become my favourite skin care product because of you! 🌞
Perfect timing! I’ve been wondering about this. Thank you!

Omg Genius idea! Didnt even think of doing that with a makeup sponge!
She did a video on beauty blenders and said she doesn't recommend it anymore after a new study about bacteria or somthing along those lines.
@@cinthiasegura732 yeah en fungus can grow since it gets moist😣😔😯 so scary
Just be sure to throw your beauty blender and get a new one frequently as they accumulate a lot of bacteria!
Very happy to hear you speak on this also are there risks with applying mineral sunscreen makeup over chemical sunscreen base layers? Will the compound chemical filters be bad and result in poor UV protection?
I wish I looked normal without makeup. I look sick without it and it really sucks. “Are you feeling okay?” is the typical response I get. 😂😞
I hear ya. I'm 41 and my routine has always included some level of makeup.
Yeah I always think I was untill you asked that
If you have always been seen with makeup then you would look a bit off when being seen by coworkers....but how unprofessional or rude is that? Its up there with never asking if a woman is pregnant or asking a woman her age....you just don't do it 🤷♀️
Fantastic and life-changing information
hey dr dray! because of your videos i have become a firm advocate of using fragrance free skincare. woohoo! but i have a question - how do i smell good without fragrance in the products i use (e.g. shower gels, perfume etc.etc...)? absolutely loving the quality content lately :))))))
Your the reason I started to swear sunscreen! 🙏❤️
Same
Have you noticed any improvements? I hope so!
Thank you, Dr. Dray, for your great info. I am addicted to watching your videos, and am changing my (59 years old) skincare routine.
Would you pls make a video on what makeup to use for acne prone skin 😩😩 Thank you!
Another excellent video in sunscreen! Thank you so much! We can't get enough information and guidance on using facial sunblock.
You look so well and glowing Dr Dray!!!
Your skin is looking amazing lately!!
thanks
Also Japanese brands has more powder sunscreens. Sana has a great fragrance free one,spf 50. Canmake has gel blush with spf 25. I only buy makeup with high protection, but it's hard to find. It helps with my melasma
