To be fair, it's not really the cameramen's fault... for one, you really have to give the faults to the editing team. I may be wrong on this one though.
The cameraman probably did great but the editor had Parkinson’s, ADD and an alcohol-tremor since 32 years and getting worse. Vengerov did great though 😂
Playing: Absolute perfection Camera work: Way too close at times, out of focus and jumping from one frame to the next. Maxim Vengerov's performances deserve much better camera work.
This is a far less pyrotechnic performance, but Vengerov's technique is as fine as it ever was and this performance is simply more mature than the legendary one from 20 years ago. I think I like it.
Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing musician far ahead of myself. That being said, I noticed that this version is somewhat slower and has some small mistakes like accidently hitting a string. Still amazing but just is different
lol the editor went nuts, especially toward the end of the piece! XD Guess he was taken away, like all of us, by the maestro's exquisite performance! ;)
Y'all talking about the cameraman... I'm just sitting here in bliss, listening to this fantastically hard piece, played with perfection by the most wonderful soloist. I hope to one day be able to play this piece a quarter as well as him.
Wow! amazing, just beautifully played. in another version. how he feels the music is amazing - strong, but with a sort of Russian passion. i don’t know if he’s Russian or not, but it’s there. amazing phrasing - just beautifully played. my god one composition with four interpretations. holy cow! 🌷✨
@@feralbluee lol i was about to say "hmmmm, is 'vengerov' russian? let's see....." well, i probably would've actually ended up saying it nicer than that, but still that was my first thought lol. glad to see you caught it yourself though
This very piece among great others I find it very special in many aspects,,It is vey underrated,, for me it is the best solo violin piece ever written.
Wow good catch. Only Vengerov can miss a note and play that note at the same moment in time haha. You can literally see his finger miss the fingerboard then go back on ... and the melody still flows beautifully!
Splendid performance with disgusting video editing especially around 05:46 . Couldn't have been edited worse. it should be calm and smooth. it made me dizzy, not an action movie.
Ayşe Önder - Ümit Önder you mustn’t see it that way. “Even the videographers was in the spirit of the piece!” Because without the video, you wouldn’t be able to see anything, without the mic, you wouldn’t be able to hear anything. Everyone has their part to play.
@@FrenHorn14 Terrible argument. Just because there is a video does not mean the low quality camera work is acceptable for such an exceptional performance. Just like because movies exist does not mean there are excuse to produce bad movies. Undermining the work of a great artist with bad camera work is nothing short of an insult to the artist himself.
Calm and smooth? I can't find any other less accurate adjectives for that part. I would suggest, hectic, electric, epic, atrong and fast paced. The video editing depicts that specially.
@@germangarciamartinez4097 @Germán García Martínez Mr. Vengerov depicts himself so incredibly on the stage that nobody needs any other "hectic, Electric, atrong???, epic, and fast-paced" tryings.
I have never seen such irritating camera editing in my life. You'd swear they were shooting a multi-cam assassination scene. This is how you do NOT pay attention to the music, and it's not Vengerov's fault.
Shame about the cameraman. Why??? It's not a fiction movie.. no need for chaotic and illogical camera moves and angles. The performance is incredible . Technique, phrasing are sublime.

Loved the master class with Brett. It's why I found this to listen. Bravo!
This is very different from his older performances of this piece. Interesting to see how an artist evolves!
comparing the iconic recording when he was younger, you can hear that he is older and more mature now.
most satisfying part is around 5:24. you can just hear that D ring in the hall and then the colour just changes
*Perfect pitch gang*

there is something schizophrenic in this music (not performed)

HATING the camera...
The camera man's aim was to make a show out of Maxim's perfomace. Incredibly awful.
Maxim himself was JUST trying to make a show out the piece. Incredibly awful.
