Wow. An orchestral accompaniment. I believe that's the first time its been done with this piece. Honestly I think it suits it wonderfully. And bravo to Vengerov, he's the only one out there who nails the shit out of this piece every time.

When Vengerov played the violin, he always smiled and was very involved in the music. I learned this piece by using his performance as a template

@@Ysmir. lol yeah ladus wan acting like he died or something😂 like he still plays and performs, not a lot right now though and is definitely teaching more than performing, this comment may make sense in like 10 years but this performance wasn’t even that long ago lol

So hard to find other Ysaye besides the 6 sonatas. This is the greatest gift to me as a big Ysaye fan. The string orchestra is excellent and Venerov plays like a god, musical and full of spirit and great violin sound.

Bravissimo! what wonderful applauds. what an incredible piece played by the Russian master Vengerov. i only know Saint-Saëns through The Carnival of Animals. this piece is so beautiful- i love the theme. how in the hell do they all play so in unison. always found that incredible. What a smile! :) 🌷

@@mariorobe4805 Vengerov's great too, sure, but his Sibelius is a bit too showy. Bell's interpretation has much more depth and nuance. Each note has its own character and leads perfectly to the next, creating a beautiful and complex tapestry of interpretation. Vengerov just doesn't have that same attention to the finer details and variety that Bell does.
But your ears have to be pretty astute to pick up on the finer details, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to catch on to it ;)
