I also appreciate the positive reinforcement and how the situation was handled. Dude will be alright as long as he is careful and rides within his limits, maybe keeping away from busy roads, etc. until he's really ready. Like a lot of folks, I took riding courses on a much smaller bike than I actually bought for myself and built up my confidence gradually. No regrets.

Riding motorcycles is a learning process. Most important part is that he's riding he'll get better! Riding a Harley is different from sports bikes. Tell him to go get a 80 or 125 and he'll get it! Great content is always! Everybody on the motorcycle set started where he is. all he needs to do is get on that bike and ride. Put some miles on it hit some corners and a couple of days he'll be real comfortable!

I did the same thing with my first bike. I rode down the street totally out of control, all on the throttle, I was dragging my feet trying to stop, scared as crap. My friends all around didn’t want to look. 😵‍💫I didn’t touch the bike again till I took motorcycle lessons. I had to swallow my pride and take lessons. I passed the weekend course, got my M class license and now I’m enjoying my ride, still learning as I go, but night and day from my first insane out of control ride. Man i remember my coworker put me on to bikes. I bought a 2013 triumph thunderbird cause it was the only thing i could afford. I was super intimidated. He would be like you jump on the bike? And he was like what you waiting for. Confidence is key man. I got better over time and use to stall in traffic. Greg you gonna get it king .

First lesson is NEVER have the handlebars turned when you are stopping otherwise you are going to drop the bike.
