It may be impossible to get rid of the Filibuster but you can still make it so unpalateable that it might cut down on them. Like "Mr Smith goes to Washington". He had to stand and couldn't sit down along with having to keep talking. They are so lazy now with this call in filibuster. That's BS. No more easy filibusters. If they feel that strongly, let the put in the effort. Stand & speak. No more easy ways to do it.
I live in England and understand the principle of the filibuster. But an obvious abuse flaw is the 'special' interest. The US parliament seems to have no filter for that. Especially as Liberalism in the constitution specifically favours business aka modern-day corporatism. Money making has become a mainstay of democracy in the western hemisphere and that is antithetical to commonwealth welfare.
And only ONE speaker. Even when they’ve done speaking filibusters, they take turns.
And if they do get rid of the filibuster it will be because one party dominates Congress and at that point they'd only opt for a partial elimination. For example the Democrats make it so they only require a simple majority while all other parties still require 2/3 vote.
Speaker Johnson approve the border bill now, leave the crazies behind.
The Democrats need to tell him that if he doesn't do that, they will not support him in the motion to vacate. Johnson has to choose. Pro America or pro Putin/Trump.
He's too busy wasting billions on Ukraine. He is a Republican right? Lately he seems more like a Democrat with a southern accent! Flush him!
Why don't you take your OWN money out of your own pocket and give it to these countries?

We don't have a Democracy. The Lobbies elect our Congress and tell them what to vote for. We the people have no representation. Which is why we keep wasting money funding corrupt regimes and funding genocide because the Lobbies pay our "representees" to not represent us and just do what they want. You have absolutely no say in anything they do no matter what you do or say!
We all have representatives in our district, two Senators in each State, your State Governor, Secretary of State or Lt. Government. Instead of being fearful, contact your representative or the DNC or RNC to express policies you want passed.

The $61Billion on Ukraine was for October. It is now near end of April. Given how hard it is too get funding we should go ahead and get advanced funding for the next period. Hence this should be increased by October to October is 12. It took Nov thru April is 6 months. Assuming at least that this October means at least 1.5 times $61 is at least $92 Billion. Then an extra $5 Billion because of the damage the Russian GRU payroll in our MAGA House and Senate, combined with Paul Manafort (who was found in 2020 to have been closely tied to the GRU) working with Trump in 2016 and going too work with Moscow Trump in 2024 to fill our social media with LIES.
Remember the Abrams tanks Biden sent that all got blown up in the last three months? How about all the destroyed Bradley's and Himars systems that got smoked. In 6 months every single cent of that 60 billion will end up a pile of molten slag somewhere in a muddy field in Ukraine covered in dead Ukrainian corps! We now have spent close to 200 billion on Ukraine. That contributes to inflation. So I guess we can kiss low FED Rates good buy because more inflation is coming down the pike!

What happens when we can no longer add any more debt and have to slash spending dramatically or default? I notice no one ever seems to think about that. 60 billion to Ukraine. Where does that money come from? Biden's personal stash. Or did we just charge it to the national credit card. Have you ever maxed out your credit card? Does the credit card company just wave away your debt if you can't afford to pay interest on it anymore or do they just take your house and garnish your wages. How about federal income taxes, does the IRS give you a break if you don't have money to pay for taxes because you can't afford the Biden inflation to pay for Ukraine and all this other crap we don't need to spend money on but Congress thought it was great?

So paying more on interest to the national debt than we pay on our military is "the right thing" What happens we can't raise the debt ceiling anymore to pay for Ukraine and Israel and everybody else's bloody war? The only policies that will affect gas or food prices are ones that reduce monopolization and increase competition.
Currently the US is producing more oil than at any time in history, but lacking any control over corporate greed, those companies are selling it overseas where they get more for it while simultaneously keeping prices here inflated by reducing local supply.
