Lawrence O'Donnell's analysis is always laser focused and well laid out. I wish other network presenters were this detailed and on point. He's the best by a mile.
He also tells a great story - you can tell he's a screenwriter - he really knows how to engage his audience.
It also helps that Lawrence's voice has a beautiful tone. I'm an MSNBC viewer from Across The Pond, working as a professional voice actor at the BBC, and of all the anchors on this channel, I really love his voice. 😄🎙🇬🇧
I also like the semi 'off-the-record' style chat they've started to include at the end of the highlights clips.
I'm not sure if this is a permanent thing or just for the Trials Of Trumpie season, but I like it.
Cohen is not crazy every second on his podcast. Wise up. He's actually funny and does get angry at times justifiably as he was stiffed from every direction and still is right now. He suffered quite a lot for the former and so will others ongoing.

The phone call is not a big deal. Its not perjury
I love that Lawrence is so good at observing the details, and then seemingly realizes, you know what, folks are going to have gripping questions at this point. And he delivered right on. Is Todd Blanche's questions evidence? Thankfully, no. The rest of the day I listened to the pundits, lawyers, and analysts and none said anything. However, most, almost unanimously, and sadly ominously, pointed out that what Blanche may begin to succeed at is to sow the kernel of doubt in the minds of the jurors. And that, my esteemed host, is what could blow down the house. What words of wisdom can you offer there?
Of course people can be different interacting in court and other life situations to doing their job e.g. a podcast. Andrew did the best job of explaining what it is like to be in court and just how well Cohen did especially when his family was mentioned.

I think (hope) the jury is smart enough to know that podcasts are made to attract clicks and entertain - and it is not unusual for podcast hosts to assume an exaggerated persona. This likely explains at least some of the difference between the Michael Cohen they see in court and who they heard on the tape.

A defense attorney will have their moments in trying to undermine the testimony of a witness. But, the totality of the evidence is what jurors look to- not a gotcha moment, with testimony that can be dealt with on redirect (if prosecutors choose). Also, not to underestimate the judgment of jurors about the demeanor of (in this instance) Todd Blanche. Yelling out at that he lied is not only not evidence, but ineffective. The witness is offering testimony to the best of his recollection.
I think Blanche is a ringer or some such. He has done an appalling job of the defence for don snoreleone. He fell on his sword for us.

Defense found txts between Shiller (Trump guard) and Cohen about phone harassment and Michael's testimony on the phone call just mentioned Trump's approving the Stormy payoff, not Shiller saying "call me". The harasser claimed to be only 14 in response to a threat by Cohen to report it to the secret service.

The comments below demonstrate very clearly why not televising the trial is important in this country. Too many observers can't make head or tail of the legal process and don't have a command of English that is helpful in understanding what is being said.
Every person who hates dumptruck sees confirmation of their views. Every person who is already on their knees worshiping dumptruck sees their views reinforced. Television coverage would not improve any of that.
The trials of Trump NOT being televised, allows his supporting networks to LIE about what's going on in court. Put this on tv, just don't show witnesses or juries.

Perhaps, as Trump progresses through trial after trial, his legal team might consider putting him on deck, show the jury his difficulties with cognate training, and claim him unfit to stand trial due to onset dementia. That way, he can avoid all the other trials and spend the rest of his days on his private golf course with Treasury Dept protection.... It might just work out for the best
If diminished capacity were established for even one case, current dementia would not apply to a past offense, when Trump was clearly in better command of his faculties.
