Weismann is the voice of sanity! Please stop giving trumps lawyer anymore credit for a irrelevant point
Haters don’t love truth being told. Trump will not be convicted on lie
@@user-kl3vc1vh1xHaven't been watching the news have you?
@anniehuckerby9281, This is just MSM's other siderism at work, move over to occasionally watching Glen Kirschner's YT channel and Talking Feds which is Harry Litman's channel and lest I forget, The Meidas Touch channel with Ben Meislas and Karen Feldman Agnifilo and Michael Popok.
@@clairemercer3099 @user-kl3vc1vh1x is either a bot or just another one that doesn't know how to change that tv dial and they don't read anything of substance, I guess because of the big words they might run across.
The notion that Cohen isn’t crystal clear on conversations from 8 years ago is beyond irrelevant. There is documentation to support that trump knew of, dictated, and approved the transaction. Full stop.
The jury can have reasonable doubt about a piece of evidence, but that isn’t the same as having reasonable doubt about the guilt of the accused.
Exactly, and it is very common for jurors to disagree about the veracity of a witness or the probity and relevance of some piece of evidence and still able to reach a decision on the guilt or innocence of a defendant. As Andrew pointed out, this is the bread and butter of defense work.
Is it painful being that absolutely stupid?
🎯
What?
@@TheMangoMussolini Wow you Libs are stupid lol! There is no crime.
Let’s remember, Michael Cohen is not the one on trial. Have you heard trump swear like a sailor? He absolutely does often and even during this trial. Trump is notorious for his blatant narcissistic lies. Keep your focus on trump!! He’s the one on trial!
Andrew Weissman is the Best ❤
Couldn't agree more 👍
I like him best as part of The Law Firm with Neal Katyal.
Absolutely....for years. A champion.
The best liar
YES HE IS THE BEST MANIPULATIVE LIAR
I've given up on being saved from a dictator by our legal system. It's down to us the voters to save democracy. People who vote for a dictator deserve a dictator but not the rest of us.
Lawrence hammering that "This is a different Michael Cohen than in real life" line is getting old. Nobody's like they usually are when they are testifying on the stand of a criminal trial, in front of a judge, jury, lawyers, audience and with the court decorum (which is a different level of serious compared to civil court), having undergone witness prep, etc. It's like saying: "The person we saw in that job interview, that's not who they really are in everyday life." Well, duh! And thank goodness because not all people testifying in a criminal trial are choir boys & girls...
I have great respect for Lawrence, and in this instance, I agree with you. I’m really tired of him hammering on Michael. I suspect that if I had been through all Michael has been through, my anger and rage would resemble his.
@@beachgremlin 🤝 I'm a long time fan of his, so my comment came from that place. When it was first brought up, Vaughn Hillyard countered with a joke, saying something like Saturday night Vaughn is different from Monday morning Vaughn etc. (which made everyone laugh and say "Do tell us more!" 😆). I thought it was put to rest after that, but Lawrence keeps bringing it up again, like he's actually trying so hard to say that he knows Cohen-but then most media people do.
I have heard Cohen a number of times. He routinely gets angry about the attack on his family and more than anything else, the rage of being put back into jail and solitary confinement because he refused to give up his 1st ammendment right to publish his book.
Whereas the defendant gets angry and rants about anyone who disagrees with him all day, every day. The jury won't hear that because he won't testify but no doubt they have seen it before.
Weissman really is the difinitive voice here. CNN are having a melt down over the same topic. He keeps it calm, real and to the point. CNN are panicking that the case may be lost rather than reporting the facts
CNN sucks/ over them
I love listening to Weissmann talk about this stuff. When you have everyone else piling into Cohen, and suggesting that Blanche destroyed him on the stand, he brings a bit of sanity to the proceedings.
I agree, all the other msdnc mouthpieces are insane,. Good call
SUUUUURRE HE DOES STEVE...SUUUURRE! 😂
the podcast of his is so great!
Whether he knew about false records or not it doesn’t matter. If cohens testimony is disregarded by the jury they have nothing. They need Cohen to speak on trumps intent to even bring these upgraded charges. And if they call cohens former attorney to the stand his testimony will impeach cohens for sure
@@josephsonora3787😂
The "real" Michael Cohen can be both those things. None of us are truly monochrome...
I believe that Michael Cohen has paid a huge price for his life with Drumpf, and that he is honestly telling the story.
No one can point to a single thing Cohen is supposed to have lied about regarding the payments.
😂 He hasn't proven Trump told him to take out a loan on his property to pay Stormy. That fell apart today by getting prank calls from a 14th Year old.
Cohen can do what he wants. He took a loan out to pay stormy Daniels. Its his money.
@@MA-ri5he Under questioning from the defense he doesn't have to 'prove' anything. They do. They haven't.
@@baronmeduse The government has the burden of proof and Cohen gave the jury reasonable doubt by not remembering the 14 year old prank caller.
@@MA-ri5he Under cross examination by the defense they are the ones who need to establish any contradiction of the indictment. They didn't.
You don't even need Cohen...the evidence is so overwhelming it is crazy...this case should be a slam dunk. The paper and documents tell the story. That is why Blanche was so flustered and frustrated and voice breaking. He made a big mistake with his career here. Disgrace! It doesn't matter if Cohen blames people in his life...or that he lies...those things do not negate the overwhelming evidence. The documents, the checks, the timeline, the tapes and the other witnesses seal the coffin here without Cohen
What evidence?
😂😂..how cute..Trump supporters have all become legal experts@@sriddle3569
@@sriddle3569Did you actually READ this post? 🤦♀️
@sriddle3569 what ignorance?!
@sriddle3569 what indictment?!
I love this format- an open free exchange of ideas and exploration of issues. It offers multiple views on topics.
Me too, it feels much more natural, I really like it.
Isn't the very definition of trump chaos and confusion?
Loved this format. Brilliant legal minds…
Let me start by saying I'm often almost on the edge of my seat listening to these round tables, but I Especially enjoyed this one. 👍👍👍
The sort of free-flowing informal setting not only seems more genuine, but I almost feel like I'm at the table with them while they discuss the day's events. Thank You 💙
But the phone call is NOT the case
Yes. Showing the discussions during the breaks is very interesting. Thanks.
Really fascinating to see this sort of discussion between y’all. More please!
Really? You expect Cohen to be the same on his podcast as he is in court? Have any of you met an actual new yorker?
The media has gone crazy about Trump. They don't even hide it
Exactly! A kid can observe that. Even we dressed different to go to court. The media is winning the case for Trump
@@KateLopez-wr6nxNo Trump is losing this and will be convicted. It is the job of a journalist to discuss both sides with an open mind. Like a referee.
@@Mr.Monta77 WOW YOU ARE A MIND READER -- BRILLIANT OR DELUSIONAL!
@@Mr.Monta77😂😂😂 Will be? Did you say the same about OJ? Well I think it will be a "Hung Jury" let's all see where the chips fall in the end.
Andrew was on all day Thursday... He deserves a long vacation after trumps conviction
Congratulations to Michael Cohen.🇺🇸
For perjuring himself?
@@ericbrosofske6733for perjuing himself in order to promote trumps scheme.
@@donnagal569 Yesterday?
@@ericbrosofske6733 No, several years ago. Once. No evidence of lying since then. Unlike Trump where that happens every few minutes.
Mr. Cohen's character and reputation have been well established for years. His role is to point out and reveal useful things for the prosecution that can be verified independently of his character.
This was fabulous. What a great group of minds, to get to overhear in conversation. Thanks, MSNBC.
Love this format! Please include more "in the break" commentary upcoming!!!!
I really really like this camera angle and just really smart lawyers talking. It is extremely interesting.
If I were a juror I would think the defense had nothing if they had an incoherent confusing cross.
So nice to see behind the scenes.
How gullible can the jurors be? The documents are sooo clear 🤷🏽♀️
Can we have a full news show in this format more: single third pov view of a more casual talk rather than earpiece questions
It's actually normally a written monologue on this show.
That was a cool look-in. Thanks for sharing that.
These missing chats "In The Break" are great to see and hear. Great idea.
OK, so even if Cohen was mistaken about what was said on a particular phone call,
as long as Trump's attorney acknowledges that Cohen did discuss the NDA with Trump
on other phone calls in that same time period, then it is no importance. It shouldn't
matter if they discussed it on the Oct 26 call or Oct 27 call. As long as it acknowledged
that they did discuss it. It would be a perfect example of what is called a "distinction
without a difference."
😂 The NDA is not in dispute, they can present 20 separate NDA's and would likely be the same contract so the documents are not enough. Prosecution needed Cohen to push the intent which was the phone call but after questioning his credibility and getting pranked by a 14 year old with texts supporting the call. It looks pretty bad.
Why do you think NDA’s are a problem ?? The NDA was perfectly legal and Trump is not being charged for the NDA. The supposed question is the way the NDA expenses were categorized as legal expenses.
@@MA-ri5heLuckily neither judge nor jury will look at how bad Cohen looks. They will look at actual evidence
Weissman is a ⭐️ star
Stop bashing Cohen , disappointing to hear Lawrence say he is ridiculous. Thank you as always Andrew and Lisa
totally agree - so disrespectful! Apparently the people they know are simple and boring!
Exactly! Dont know many people who would own their mistakes. The one on trial here will not likely have the guts to testify…
Yeah, smug and sneering is not appealing.
SORRY IT DOES NOT FIT YOUR CONFIRMED BIAS --- TRY THINKING WITH LOGIC REASON & NO EMOTIONS -- TRY FACTS!!
I think Lawrence was saying that Cohen has created a pattern of being combative, over the top, and it doesn't serve Cohen himself. He does mirror Trump's mob boss talking style, and I think that is the "ridiculous" part. He's too abrupt in interviews and testimony, too much "I'm a super tough, TOUGH guy, don't mess with me. " That comes off as a "ridiculous," unhelpful to himself. I wish I could see him in the courtroom. I didn't see Lawrence saying Cohen is overall "ridiculous" or somehow useless or unworthy, just his talking tough guy style.
OK I LOVE these - please keep posting these insights
This format is refreshing and real and very listenable. Content comes through. More of this please.
I love this behind the scenes look
'Confusion' is a big part of the gqp's political tactics.
Why was that so much better than the usual discussion video? The lack of different camera angles? Having everyone in the same room? It's just listening to people talk about a subject, rather than having them stage a discussion for the viewer's benefit. So much better!
There is no defense of corrupt people doing corrupt things. The GOP has been using the confusion technique, ad nauseam., and people are wise to it. 🇺🇸💙
Great Round Table effect. Many thanks LO and the panel. Democracy.
I enjoyed the fact that you experimented with the different camera angles.
Towards the end though it seems that someone woke up the camera guy/gal and all of a sudden we zoom around back towards Lawrence but overall i thought it was good we got to see someone deliver Lawrence copy, him binning one and it made, in ny opinion something more viewable.
Sorta kinda like as if if was walking by a table of 4 ppl having a great chat in a pub somewhere.
Congrats on the bravery of doing this.
I look fwd to seeing more of the set - lights, cables other cameras in the background all good stuff!!
Cheers from NZ 😎🎸🤘
"Lawrence off Mic" love this guy!
This has been a great series with Lawrence and the different guests/experts off the cuff and unscripted. Definitely hope this gets shared more often.
Deny, delay… DISTRACT
Love this format a lot more than the polished broadcast format.
This was a really interesting discussion and format. Loved the POV. Very cool
fly on the wall POV
Great conversation. I think these in-the-break recordings are actually much better than the regular programming. I'd like to see more of these.
I like this single camera conversation format.
If you keep your temper and someone else loses it, the person keeping their temper always wins with those watching the exchange. I used that with high school students in a juvenile facility. They realized that there was nothing they could do that would bother the individual they disagreed with more.
During deliberation, the two lawyers on the jury should cut through Blanche's disjointed questioning and credibility smoke and mirrors.
IF YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE DISJOINTED YOU MUST BE HIGH!!!
@PBoss0 Says the person typing in all caps...
@@PBoss0Just curious why you bother to make these comments here while these people explained perfectly what is happening in the court room. It’s so clear if you actually listen
@@PBoss0meanwhile let’s not forget he was working for trump for a decade so if he is that bad of a person why ??
The prosecutors will clear everything up on redirect before then.
Now this is Awesome. Love it
Michael Cohen has changed and deserves a second chance. He’s not ridiculous.
wrong snowflake
🙄a little phone call it’s going to cast doubt to all the paper trail? Give me a break, like the jury is that naive and dumb 🙄

Why haven’t they called Trumps accountant?!!

Glad to see Lawrence got his wish lol. So often lately he's been saying "I wish we could show you what we were just talking about during the break", or variations on that theme. More of these please MSNBC 🤞
U.S.deserves a smart, robust, honest and a credit in the representation of the population.
Keep in mind that Michael Cohen is not on trial here.
As the prosecutors say, we don't get to pick all our witnesses, the defendant picked them.
@@czgator9000 That's BS!!!
Love this format.
Weismann is the only and first person to immediately point out the oct 26th call between Cohen and donnie. He said "we all have memory lapses now and then. Cohen remembers the substance. Who cares about the two day difference?"
Also other panelists on MSNBC were attacking Cohen that he has so much hatred for ttump blah blah.
Agsin it was Weissmann who said "It doesn't matter. Let me give you an example of a criminal case I was handling. The wife on the witness stand hated so much that she wanted her husband to be behind bars. The jury understood and the verdict went in her favor".
I watch Nicole Wallace and Lawrence as they invite Weissmann and Tim O'Brien. I no longer watch others. I was watching Ari but not after saying Cohen is selling merch.
Disappointed in Ari, also after interviewing Stormy's former lawyer/swindler, Avenatti from jail. He got 14 years for stealing from his clients, is that the best interview he could come up with?
Donnie for PRISON
Poor Democrats they are always angry and bitter because they are always LAST to find out the TRUTH about Trump..Weissman keeps getting it so wrong about Trump just like his Russian Hoax
Was on a big federal trial once. We all take notes and confer with each other at deliberation. Prosecution’s sum up will match their notes.
Really love these casual discussions ❤👌
It's going to be OK. There are 2 Lawyers on the Jury and they'll keep everything in line.
I think they are heavily miscalculating on how fast a NY Lawyer can talk on the phone.
Fast talking is apparently the one stereotype Cohen doesn't have.
Like a Dr. They communicate in a peculiar way. The media already disqualified Cohen...
Who needs a jury when you have the media..
@@KateLopez-wr6nx if the jury is following the rules (not paying attention to the case spin online) and aren't being threatened by cult members dressed in the same clothes I think this is a minor scrape.
I like this video format. It not only is the behind-the-scenes action, but he gives a real perspective on what everyone’s really thinking. It feels as though this format has edge to it. And I like that.
Wonderful thoughts. Please do this more.
Sinful that Cohen pays the price for the never ending sins of TRUMP.👀🇺🇸
good discussion. nice to hear some commentary off-the-cuff.
Interesting extemporaneous conversation.
you all are over blowing this phone call.
because it's not that pivotal surely, Trump is still guilty
This video was awesome, when the camera wasn’t on, their real thoughts came out in their discussions, nice job.
Ohhhhh, bonus commercial break discussion not aired on tv. Nice!
Don't forget there are two lawyers in the jury who may be able to explain this tactic and reel the rest of them in.
Iff it reasonable doubt Cohen can appeal against his court case .an Bill Barr his back on the stand explaining why Defendant 1 was never charged.
post the names of 4 ppl sicker then these 4
So when these panelists are not doing their day job do they interact with everyone as if they are still on TV? Could they hold it together as well as Cohen did after prison and solitary? Only Andrew seems to grasp the nuances.
I really like the vibration and mood of these guys in this conversation they play off each other very well
..so do ya'll just want to ignore.. the contempt of court's gagorder ?
This presentation is one of the most interesting I have ever seen. Do more of these chats I loved it.
This format with the fixed camera is so good, I hope this is a sign of things to come on this and other MSNBC shows.
These off-the-air clips are great!
Andrew Weissman is an apologist for this lawfare
The Crucible of the trial... great wordsmithing, Andrew ❤
There are 2 lawyers on the jury. Hopefully they'll be able to stabilize the jury. And the re-direct and summation will help.
Thank you for this format and camera work. It almost felt like I had a chair at the table. Excellent discussion.
I don't understand why pundits are making a big deal about Michael Cohen remembering a 96-second phone call from 2016 correctly. If I were on the jury, I would have had to suppress wild laughter when Todd Blanche yelled "That. Was. A. LIE!" over something so petty, and I'm not sure I could have done it. I might have at least snorted.
Well he claimed to remember all of it under direct examination.
When Tacopina tried to upset E Jean Carroll by getting in her face and talking loud and accusing her of lying, it just alienated the jury, especially when she remained calm. That cost IQ45 $5 million, and Tacopina is no longer his attorney.
what's this format? it's very cool
It'll all get fixed on redirect. It was 8 years ago and the guy was 17 hours in.
Establishing reasonable doubt. Hilarious.
Andrew Weissman. This is the man that we all wish was our brother, uncle, cousin, neighbor or close friend. He is so fascinating and so down to earth and totally believable. I always sit up and listen when he speaks. Way to go, Andrew. 🅰️➕➕➕➕➕➕➕
Weissman is the hater who picked 18 Clinton donors for the Mueller fiasco, including the former Chief Counsel of the Clinton Foundation. After all that they still failed to find any Russian collusion! Weissman has done untold harm to America just because he hates Trump
More like this please!
The cope is strong with this panel😂
So why is this "between the scenes" bit 10x better than anything they actually put on TV?
Andrew Weissmann is becoming THE new unintentional correspondent; without a contract or network representation. Can I be your manager, Andy?
Nobody remember everything from years ago
