I have been warning people that the Rhode glazing milk is comedogenic. I thought I had checked the ingredients, but the coconut alkanes wrecked my acne prone skin per usual. Once I double checked the ingredients I realized my mistake. 😢
The same happened to me with the Rhodes lip treatment. The granules didn’t melt away for me either. I sent mine back for a refund. I was so excited to get the products but after that, they can keep them. Thanks for being open with your experience also.
I have silver/platinum bleached blonde hair, so breakage and damage is inevitable for me. Though I find that a lot of the tips and product recs you have given has still helped sooo much! My hair has never been this long and 'healthy' during my 4 years as a platinum blonde! Thank you! ❤
Abbey, you should try applying spf more gently and then wait for the product to dry instead of continuously rubbing your face so harshly while trying to spreading spf or trying to blend it into your skin. I know the sunscreen in this vid is purple, but in your past vids, even with other asian sunscreens which don't leave a white cast, your application still looks pretty rough. I only mention this as it may create possibility of holes or thinning of the protection too much. Also, I just hate to see skin getting tugged, especially facial skin.
You have a very good point, especially when not every sunscreen should be applied the same way. A lot of people complained about the glow recipe sunscreen for example, because it kept pilling really badly, and it’s because everyone was rubbing and blending it into their skin when you’re supposed to start by rubbing, and then pat it in the rest of the way.
You're correct. Part of the "screen" in sunscreen is not rubbing into your skin, but spreading a thinner layer, letting it set and then applying another layer. Compliments of Gothamista a great skincare youtuber.
@@lorrainecalvert4635 I remember I watched a vid here on the Tube who mentioned applying spf like this, but I've watched so many videos I couldn't remember who I had heard it from...thank you, I think it was for sure Gothamista! Also, I just want to add that by no means is Abbey applying spf wrong, I mean look at her skin, it's seriously perfection so obviously she knows what she is doing. I'm just concerned about the skin tugging when it comes to her applying/blending the spf onto her face.
@@hannahl1477 I know it's not just me who doesn't like to put to much force when applying spf on the face. I use korean spfs that don't leave a white cast which helps a lot with the process of spreading an even layer all across my face and neck and then pat on areas of the face that needs more blending. I guess the difference between me an Abbey is that I don't wear makeup ever so I don't really need the sunscreen to blend away. So I just let it set and absorb or dry on its own until reapplication. Totally agree with you though, not all sunscreens require the same process of application. Maybe a physical spf needs more blending to be rid of white cast....but I think the white cast is there so that we know that we didn't miss an area on our body. White cast is annoying but it must have a reason.....maybe instead if white cast it could be tinted with peach to chocolate tones just like korean tone-up sunscreens. Hey Abbey! I tried the curling method you shared in your date night video, but with my flat iron. I had always kept the iron mostly vertical as I slide it down my hair, but tried it like you by starting that way and then changing to horizontal and directing the curl under. Couldn’t believe the difference I got, and I loved it! Thanks for the tip! Also we talk to our dogs the same way 🤣❤
I actually really love using the Saie lip oils! They lasted pretty well and left my lips feeling well moisturized. I definitely prefer unscented/less-scented products so in comparison to the more sweet smelling lip oils these are a great option
I know it’s kind of a hassle but if you put your grainy lip peptides in a cup of very hot water for a few minutes the graininess of it will melt away! I notice if store my lip treatments in a cold room or something they go grainy again and it is very annoying but i love the actual product so I put up with it 🥲
Hi, Cassandra Bankson has a video on the onion sunscreen I believe she helped formulate it, she goes in depth about it, I see T3 is coming for the Beachwaver, I have the Beachwaver and love it 😀
I've been following your hair care advice for a couple of months to repair my hair and try to grow it long again. I had a hair cut today and the hairdresser said i had great and healthy hair! Thank you so much for all the advice you share xx
Thank you for another great video. ❤ I purchased the 5 products in the Redken Acidic Bonding line. This morning was hair wash day. I read the backs of the 3 conditioners while in the shower. I decided to use all three. My hair came out so soft and pretty. When time to buy more, I will skip the regular A.B. conditioner & buy the spray on & the mask. I noticed they have numbers on them, related to the percentage of the treatment.😊
Thank you! My Rhode lip peptide did the same thing. I emailed the company and got the very same response. It’s grainy and I’m using it but not happy at all. They need to do better. I too saw all the complaints!
Hi Abbey ❤, Natasha Denona (I Need a Nude Pallet) I think that would be right up your street with the colour story 💕! I definitely love it as they are the colours I gravitate towards for an everyday make-up look. I was looking at the Bareminerals Blushlighter on their website some time ago and liked a couple of the shades but after hearing your thoughts I'm not so sure I will because you felt like you were only getting the benefit of a highlighter look rather than a blush and highlighter in one. I can't wait for part two of this 😘!
Abbey! What blushlighters do you recommend? I love the way your blush is in the video!!! Your gorgeous and I just adore you and thank you!!! You’ve helped me heal my hair SO much and I can never thank you enough 😭😭😭
Hi Abbey! How were you using the Fenty oil cleanser? If you just rubbed it in and then removed it, I would try using it again but try rubbing warm water into it before wiping it away-that’s how the brand suggests using the product.
When you see H. Cordata, it is also know as Heart Leaf. I love products with this ingredient. Very calming and soothing, also has antibacterial properties. Many blessings!💖💖💖
that redken product reminded me so much of the l'oreal bond repair 12% citric acid line, it has the exact same packaging colours, like the white with the irridescent rectangle. i wonder if it works the same because i use the l'oreal line and it has done amazing things for my hair (plus it's smells so good)
Can I please ask when transitioning from bleach blonde hair how your root was blended ? I want to stop using bleach. But unsure how the root can be blended to my naturally dark blonde hair. Thank you x
Love all your review videos! Super interested in trying out the SAIE lipgloss and T3 curl wrap. I know you didn't love the curl wrap but I have short hair and am tempted to see how it works.
You have a nice hair color. Would like to know what hair dyes your hairdressesr uses. Of course, it wouldn't look exactly the same, but that's a good tip. Looks good on you.
27:26 I freaking love this product! I bought it from the professional supply store the day it came out. I have fine hair and this leaves me hair less weighed down than the regular conditioner (not that the conditioner is too heavy, I like it too). I have basically decided to replace the conditioner with this mask.
I was gonna buy the redken mask but after your review, I think I'm gonna skip that and try something else perhaps. Great video as always, Abbey. I kept smiling every time I saw Elsie 's tail wagging lol. ❤
Hi Abbey,I love your hair info, thank you so much for all of the research. Can you use too much of the Redken Acidic Bonding products? I love them but I’m curious about this and I apologize if you’ve already answered it and I missed it. 💖
Hello Abbey! I want to know. How many times a week do you watch you y hair? Because I want to know how do you have time to try all types of different products, and know which one works for you. If the one that doesn’t work don’t damage your hair? Maybe trying different brand and types make your hair healthier than if you only use one. You have an amazing hair. I love your channel and all your excellent recommendations.❤
Stick the rhode lip treatments in your bra while you get ready or in a cup of hot water for a couple minutes, massage the tube for a minute, and it’s good as new. It’s just the waxes in the formula solidifying, warming them again and massaging the tube re-emulsifies them with the oils. Of course you shouldn’t have to do that for a $16 lip balm but I love them so much that it’s worth it
Could you tell us what pre oil you use before shampooing? My hair seems like it had protein overload. Started breaking off and super dry after mistakenly using a keratin rich shampoo for months. I’ve watched your videos and I’m still confused. Could I get a step by step washing and conditioner system?
I'm just learning about bond repair products for hair and I'm so confused. Am scouring "best of " lists for something reasonably priced, can't afford K-18. Thanks! Not sure if you answer comments?
I don't feel anything from the Dr. Dennis, no tingling, however my lips got huge and it kept all the lines out of my lip. Yes it wears off quick, the actual formula but your lips stay plump and youthful.
Great reviews!!! I get that same with tastes and smells… and those tower 28 blushes were so crayon smelling and so sticky😭… and also to me the entire Kosas line smells so weird and not good to me which makes me so bummed because I love everything about quite a few of their products, but that smell I just can’t 😢
