I think what makes Eminem such an amazing artist is that he actually speaks from the heart. If you are a parent you know how it feels to not be able to put presents under the tree. Those of us who have lived in poverty can relate. Most rappers are talking about females, sex, gang banging, etc.but Em talks about his family, his struggles things we can relate to. I bawl my eyes out every time I hear this song. My dad used to play Eminem in the car ever since I was old enough to understand music. I didn't know how innapropriate the songs were, I just liked the way they sounded. He always told me this was his song to me, and when I was little I thought it was just because he was saying he loved me like Em loves Hailie. But now as an adult, with everything that happened with him and my mom, all the addiction problems, the money problems, the mental health issues, NOW I know why he said this song was his song to me. It hits way too close to home, and it helped me repair my relationship with my father because I finally understood what he was trying to tell me for so long that he didn't have the words for. That right there is why Eminem will forever be the GOAT in my mind, not all his songs, but some of his songs, are so universally understood and emotional and powerful and that's something I can only truly say about maybe 5 other rappers TOPS.

This is not eminems best song...But just like "when I'm gone" it's so powerful and so personal. Mockingbird, When I'm Gone, and The Way I Am are 3 of the post personal and emotional rap songs of the last 25 years and they all came from Em in a 5 year span.

I think the biggest reason this song hits me so hard is because people are living this. Now. Tomorrow. Forever. Because those "moments" you might have missed trying to provide will never be captured again, but as long as your kids know you did everything you could for them? Then it was worth it.

Not gonna lie I would watch these guys review old classic books all day long 😆😂
Love these guys but if they half remember shit and call anti-racism books “racist books” then I think I’d rather them review music

As a father of three girls this song hits my heart!!!
Hello from Ukraine brothers. Thank you, for your true reaction)
Great reaction guys!!
I think the somg “Mockingbird” is a very-personal song in which Em is addressing his daughters and in the process reveals private details of their family history as well as his current thoughts and aspirations towards them.
You guys should try “Hailie’s song” by him. It is a deep song as well talking about personal life. Also eminem actually tries to SING at first.
Peace and love
Welp, I am a year late but holy cow. Atticus is one of the greatest heroes, defending a father doing what any father would say they would do! To take the life of the person that hurt your child, every parent who is honest can relate. Read it, damn good book!
Sing for the moment - Eminem
Love the content💯

Being in that age and listening to mocking bird for the 1st time....boy you were long for aoo long
Let me tell you youngsters.. This song hits you completely different once you have children of your own.
Being an adult is finally understands that mockingbird actually a reality to be a dad as Eminem, it hits hard...

He is one of the best Fathers in the world. He has said that his daughter saved his life and made him work hard to make sure she had everything she needed or wanted. He also raised his ex wife kid and his niece as well. Now Hallie is grown up and he is so proud of her and she got married and she is now pregnant with their first baby boy
