Cop said if he had no ID he'd be put in a squad car and taken to the station for fingerprinting. That means the truck would have been searched, and by the video description the weapon he shouldn't have had would have been found. That's why he tried to get away.

Cops, just regular guys in different clothing. This cop was brave, I mean, that guy was big! Tackle a cop with weapon drawn and you are lucky to be accidentally shot in the leg. This cop would have been well within his rights to shoot him dead. We mustn’t forget how traumatic incidents on the front line are for these regular men and women and we should cut them a break with all this cop hating judgement. Personally I am thankful for their bravery in standing in shoes which I would not.

Cop said if he had no ID he'd be put in a squad car and taken to the station for fingerprinting. That means the truck would have been searched, and by the video description the weapon he shouldn't have had would have been found. That's why he tried to get away.

This officer was so compassionate and understanding, it never ceases to amaze me how so many disregard or take advantage of that.
The cop completely panicked. The suspect was on his way to laying down flat on his stomach spread eagle when he exited the vehicle...then this cop starts (rapid fire) yelling contradictory instructions that confused the suspect. Then this same scared cop begins running after the suspect with his gun drawn and his finger on the trigger and has an accidental firearm discharge that could have shot himself or the person in the red car. This so-called officer needs to be taken off patrol duty and assigned to ball games or perhaps a high school after going through the academy all over again. He did everything wrong. What idiot jumps into the window of a fleeing vehicle? Terrible police work!
