    As of May 9th, 2023 , the depot became the first depot citywide to have a full complete fleet of MTA Andrew Cuomo Livery scheme buses.

    I have a long history with this depot. In 1986 I drove the crosstown M42 and used to give the off duty Greyhound drivers a ride to the P.A a couple of aves over.
    Then with the SI Division (TA) we opened it as West Side Depot with our express buses parked upstairs before anyone else was in the building. We literally walked through a empty depot to get to our express buses up on the roof. Only after it become Quill did it become a fully functional MaBSTOA depot.

      Yes, as of April 1st, they gave up to 10 XD40s to Manhattanville Depot. And their M60 SBS to Mother Clara Hale and M66 to Manhattanville too.

    32:22 Other SBS routes will get these too. If a vehicle is violating the lanes, it will result in a serious fine for blocking the bus lanes on SBS routes. If you drive a car and it is blocking the lanes, you will be in trouble.

    Excellent review of my home depot. I noticed some inaccuracies. The Q32 didn't become a Quill route (split-Casey Stengel) till Hudson Pier Depot closed in September 2003. The M14 didn't formally become a split route till April 2004. Which coincided with the transition from RTS' to New Flyer D60HF's. In 2000, Quill gave the M16/M34 back to Hudson Pier in exchange for the M23. Reason being to convert the M23 to Articulated buses.

    18:52 When these LFSAs were delivered, 5439-5530 did not get the Vianova Screens at all. 5531-5602 were the only units to have them. And the units in the range of 5439-5530 that are now with the screens are 5445-5447, 5451-5452, 5455, 5459, 5467, 5486-5488, 5499-5501. Get a ride on them and tell me whether or not you like them. If so, what are your thoughts about it? I am happy where the 2016-17 XD60s got their screens in Fall 2023.

    13:49 Some artics were also delivered to Tuskegee but did not get the SBS wrap because no routes out of that depot are SBS except when there was one out of that depot since the M86 was a SBS route. Nevertheless, some of them were splashed in the wrap to show that it is a SBS bus.

    Merry Christmas. Great review of godly Michael J Quill Depot. What I like about that Depot are godly M12, friendly positive lovely bus operator Luis Lopez, buses and my childhood bus route become select bus service which is M14A/D. Fun fact about that Depot. The 1999 RTS Nova T80206 buses 5204 to 5206 were delivered to Fresh Pond Depot.

    18:05 This is to boost the retirement of the D60HFs, which TA Depot has received back in 2017. Soon, some of these buses in Manhattan got wrapped into the SBS scheme. And the worst thing about these buses is, no local schemed 2017 XD60s in Brooklyn. I wonder why. Also, if 6089, 6091, 6093-6100, 6102-6104, 6106-6108, 6118, 6120, 6125 remains in SBS scheme in Manhattan today. If these were all at TA Depot, they will all be in the local scheme, which makes me like the 2019 ones on the Manhattan SBS routes. FB should give 6110, 6112, 6114, 6117, 6119, 6122-6124 to TA so it can be left out with the 6000 Series and TA has most of the 6100s. I like seeing the 2017s on the local, and 2019s on the SBS since it looks great on them.

  • @AdventurousVianova
    @AdventurousVianova 8 месяцев назад

    Fact: If the LFS HEVs were not at MJQ, the standard routes would have used 100% Xcelsior, and if the M60-SBS was not at MCH (even after roof repairs started spring last year and finished this year), then MCH would have became the only depot in Manhattan to be a full Xcelsior fleet, like every Brooklyn depot except JG because it has C40LFs and XN40/60s. If the XD40s were not at GH and the XE60s were not at KB, then they would both be fully Nova like QV, Charleston, and Yukon. Speaking of that, I don’t understand of why MCH Depot still has LFSAs 5444-67 because the Xcelsiors are supposed to be the only fleet it should use. TA Depot and MJQ Depot are supposed to be the only depots to be mixed of LFSAs/XD60s (MJQ using blue/gold LFSAs and XD60s, TA using blue/white LFSAs and blue/gold XD60s.) I am upset of how Manhattan bus fleets got buses swapped, and I hope no bus fleets in Brooklyn get swapped or I won’t see any Xcelsiors
