    Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful video about the Zaxe Z3. It was under my radar for a while. Your attention to detail and clear explanations made it easy to understand the features and capabilities of the printer. Your hard work and effort are truly appreciated. Keep up the great content!

    Congratulations! This would be a great machine for those print farms. Knowing that an "industrial" printer uses Klipper, CoreXY kinematics and an inductive probe, really reinforces the design choices for Voron, and Bambu. So I'm guessing we'll be seeing hobby level race to the bottom core xy machines. Always great content! Thanks Chris!

    Chris, another excellent review on a printer that most will never have a chance to see or own. For many companies the price would be reasonable for a tool that can produce reliable prints with little training or expertise.

    The enclosure looks clean and i think with the imirgance of send cut send and competitors you're going to see some open source sheet metal enclosures like this. Very nice. Even if it is a touch basic

    Interesting printer, well thought out by the description except that spool location. I guess if you have it on open back shelving it works, but if its on a desk, you have to partially spin it around to get to the spool for loading and unloading. Glad to hear Klipper is on it by default. Thanks for the overview, while I may not own a $4k printer, I have clients that may so its always good info to get into the "hobby" sphere. Printers "as tools" are real things and while its fun to print toys, end product and end user is an excellent point to think about!

    i recently got access to a x3 printer by Zaxe and find the XDesktop slicer to be lacking. Does anyone know where to find settings like acceleration and speeds to setup up PrusaSlicer for example?

    • @random22random22
      @random22random22 Год назад

      they dont have any... sadly its not even any klipper on them as mentioned here. you cant controll speed nor other settings. there is no klipper on z3 or x3.... i dont understand how they can just say it has it without any proof?

    • @ChrisRiley
      @ChrisRiley  Год назад

      The settings in the slicer are pretty limited, hopefully they will continue to add features.

      @@ChrisRiley but where is the klipper part in this printer that you mention? i do have z3 and x3 but there is no klipper in them. you should do a better research chris because me and others trust your reviews.

      @@ChrisRiley i have read all that, ive done multipli klipper mashines include some vorons. and i say it again. There is no klipper integrated in zaxe printers. Im working on installing fully open klipper kontroll on them all. But for what they are now, the printers are not finished, they dont have any speed, any so called klipper funktions. yes i can accept klipper integration by name but by looking at the speed, slicing, printing and display ui. there is no klipper. Its very sad because you could show some klipper funktions but there is none. the eco system of zaxe is not finished jet.

    Hey, do you think there is a way you could do more videos about Duet? Or reprap firmware on its own. Something like variables in SS for reprap or conditional gcod? I find that reprap is lacking tutorials on RUclips or even on Google thus making it very hard for people like me ( that get machines preconfigured with Duet boards) changing minor stuff without going trough 1xxx forums or Not maintained guides. You used to make a lot of Duet videos and I liked them because they were very informative but as for now they are like 50% outdated

    I don't understand all of the praise? Seems like a basic corexy with off the shelf parts and klipper. Doesn't seem to offer anything that the bambu labs carbon printer already offers while costing 4x more.
    That basic e3d v6 hotend for example isn't really "industrially reliable" and will clog from time to time. Is a clog easy to clear? Can a user easily swap out hotends? Even $60K Stratasys machines offer easily replaceability for hotends and other parts that can wear.

    This printer is not fully developed at the moment. This system is sold with Klipper only by the words. You are not able to use things like imput shaper with the g-sensor , you can´t print really fast. The system is well designed in mechanical way, very sturdy. It uses no chinese knock off parts,all genuine parts. But for the money you pay (more than 4300€) this is not enough value. You can use the camera only with the app. It is not possible to use it with your pc. The doumentation is really low. When I purchased this printer there was no information availlable for the OctoPi feature.
    And most annoying is the ptfe tube at the print head which is not fixed like on every ender 3 budget china printer.

      thats what u feel. the there is no klipper in that printer for sure! and still, how come you cant even decide which speed settings you want? i feel that alot if not all about z3 is a lie. Lets not talk about the slicer Xdesktop! Its so slow! bad and terrible! the first ever cura which came many many years ago was even better.
