      @ethenjordan2010 The car is phenomenal to DRIVE and is the best car I ever owned by a long shot! The last thing I'm ever concerned about in a high-performance car was remote start and cooled seats! Heated steering wheel would be nice, admittedly, but my M240i xdrive is my winter car that has a heated wheel! The RS3 is so much fun to drive that I literally have to force myself home after hours of driving because I never get bored and the seats are heaven lol!!

      This is true. However, RS3 all day over an S3 because you’re getting all the cons to have the A3 chassis, but without the 5 cyl engine. Plus, loaded S3s are close in price to an rs3 anyway. Golf R or RS3 are the only options that make sense depending on what you want/need

    Okay I noticed when you said “that actually felt quick” you were in 2nd gear to begin with and then moved up to 3rd and 4th, which makes sense, earlier when you said it felt slow and had turbo lag you were in 4th gear going slow so you didn’t build up to it and it’s hard on turbo when you go WOT in higher gears, you’ll feel the same in all cars unless they downshift for you when you go WOT. Were you in RS mode when you did that? I’d be surprised if it didn’t downshift for you in RS or whatever the sport mode is. It does not downshift aggressively for you in non sport modes. Same applies for manual cars also where you control the shifts yourself. Most of your issues seem to be with looks and interior stuff, and obviously the cargo space which applies to all sedans. You probably knew about all this and still decided to buy it, give it some time to grow on you.
    But apart from that I do see some valid points, heated steering is a must for me as I daily the car in winters, perforated seats is good to have but I’m happy with heated seats, cargo space is a big one. Quad tips is too much for an R, they’re small and feel out of place, don’t look the same as they do on BMW Ms, again personal preference.

    • @JVette01
      @JVette01  Месяц назад

      Thanks for sharing. In my other video, I did that 4th gear pull to demonstrate the turbo lag and lack of low end torque.. obviously, I’m well aware downshifting to the lowest gear gives you the best acceleration.. still not as fast as I was hoping. However, I’m started to understand how sensitive this car is to heat.. it feels much better in cooler temps

    I own an MK8 GTI and I love every aspect of it, inside and out. I wouldn't trade if for an RS3 because the difference is too small, however I would've picked the Audi if I had the money.
    The main reason would be the 5 cylinder with its unique sound, which makes the entire experience more thrilling. Another thing I really like is the exterior design, especially with the Sedan: I think it looks more mature and elegant. I would love it in matte black with bronze wheels.
    The interior is definitely better on the GTI. The materials are very similar, both have tons of scratchy plastic and a lot of gloss black (although my 2022 still has the matte center console). Neither has major creaking issues. I feel like the GTI has a better layout, with the two screens at the same level and the climate vents discreetly integrated in the dashboard. The one thing that Audi does better is controls: having physical buttons on the RS3 is just a better experience.

      I’ve had both the mk8 golf r and I currently have the 8y rs3 sedan. The Audi is better on every level both inside and out to the mk8 r. The mk8 gti will be on a level lower to the mk8 r, so it’s not really a comparison and the difference is not small, it’s quite big and worth the trade if you can afford it.

      @@JVette01 I agree if M2 was 63k that the RS3 should have been around 56k or so, but I guarantee in the long run the RS3 will hold its value much better! Definitely way more unique and way less of them getting built just look at how long we waited to get one lol!!
