Simon It does. In most states, there are laws that say the trucks can be lifted slightly or not at all. However this is not heavily enforced. Unfortunately for Audi they cannot sell a car with what is deemed to be unsafe, even though we know nobody would care and it wouldn’t be really dangerous..
Lol ever since I bought my e63 about 8 months ago, I’ve got a million very tiny rock chips on my front bumper and the worst part is my car is black so it shows (I do a lot of highway driving which is probably why)

Audi 5 cylinder is a masterpiece of an engine.
It is man - THE most adorable engine of nowadays because of its sound and capacity. With slights mods easily reaches 500HP and more ... durable!

I have a 2019 RS3 as well as a 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder. I drive the RS3 year round and park my Porsche at Halloween for the winter. My RS3 with winter tires is a beast in the snow. I love that car. If I had to choose one car I would pick the Audi. Thanks for your great review Doug.

The back doors can unlock, Doug. You just have to pull the door handle twice; first pull unlocks the door, second opens it. This is a feature found in almost all Audis and VWs of the last 8 years

Shit, I think my friend's 98 jetta had the exact same thing, this is at least 20 years old, not a 'RS3 quirk'.

I’d much rather daily drive this than anything with 600 hp that he mentioned.
Actually the RS3 comes with the option to remove the max speed limitation, it will then go 174mph (280km/h). Since many winter tires in Germany are limited to 150mph (240km/h) the alarm makes sense (well, at least in the only country of the world where you can actually drive the RS3 that fast on the highway...)

@@jf8188 Thanks for asking. Daily driver was the original intention, however circumstances have me keeping the odometer lower than expected. (just passed the 30K mark). Summer driving mostly, still waiting for a snowy winter to really test it out. No changes in my love for the car. Lots of interest from people too. It’s a keeper for sure.

Actually to unlock the doors you pull the handle once. One pull unlocks the doors and 2 opens YOUR door. Took me a while to figure that one out on Audi’s.

My 2004 Volkswagen Polo can manually lock the door by pressing down the lock but you can't pull it out again once it's locked. To unlock the door, just like you said, you pull the handle twice.
most german cars have that feature i think, not 100% sure about mercedez but bmw, yes.
My Chevy Sonic does that - There aren't any lock/unlock buttons on any of the doors! Instead there's just one big button on the center console. #showmeyourquirksandfeatures

RS means Rinspeed. Audi's performance arm like Mercedes AMG, or BMW's M Div. Can't believe North Americans haven't had these things made available over the years. These (and AMG's) are as common as Camry's in Australia!

Wonder what Doug would say if he drove most RS3 owners cars who have around 600hp. Best daily driver I ever bought
Well I considered the RS3 and ended up buying a 2018 S3. I paid $46,790 for a $53,500 stickered S3 where the best deal on a RS3 was $58,900. I spent $2700 on a APR Stage 2 tune and downpipe and I now have 400hp and 396 Lbs torque, I do 0-60 in 3.70 seconds. So did I score? Maybe not, the RS3 will always be a winner.

I just bought the 2018 RS3 got a great end of year deal. I haven't fully read the manual so your video pointed out some features I haven't discovered yet. Despite the seats not being power adjustable they are very comfortable and give a smooth ride even on some rough road.
I never comment on videos, i just have to say, this guys sarcasm is freakin hilarious! Great review as well as being funny and entertaining.
Manual seats and not a fan of the front cup holders so he gives the features a 6/10 lol... all after raving about it having the best infotainment system

I'm pretty sure the RS3 and TT RS can be de-restricted with a performance package to have a top speed of 174 MPH, or 280 KPH. I wonder how it handles at these speeds. Looks like doug has improved his driving portion and also the walk around with an exhaust clip, so thank you doug for listening to us

* US spec can get shorter gearing / faster accel

* mirrors are bigger and bulkier in EU spec
* Mustang prices are higher in EU

The Audi 3-Series has always been a handsome line. Each successive redesign only improves the look of its predecessor, which isn't always the case in automotive design.

We don't really get any wagons here because wagons just don't sell in America. People think they look too ugly (which I agree with to an extent), it's also the reason why hatchbacks for the most part (especially with European cars) are uncommon here.
Happy Aussie here. The RS6 is comfortable and seats are very supportive

Stop complaining about manual seats. Manual seats don't need motors below them, motors that take up space. Motors not taking up space means you can sit lower in the car. Low in the car is best. Also, power seats are heavy and add unnecessary weight. Last point, how often do you really move your seat? I'm the only person that drives my car so the first 5 minutes of owning my car I used the power seats and haven't truly touched them since. It's a pointless feature imo. My E46 M3 had manual seats and I loved them.
Yup. Got an RS3 with the manual seats (there was an electric seat option) and you set the seat once the first time you ever get in it and that's it. I have to move the seat MAYBE once every month or two if I have passengers in the back.

No one ever even seemed to complained that when you get expensive Recaro seats in the current Mustang, that you lose the cooling seats and only have heated. People will always point out the small stuff. It's just added weight if it's really not needed.
You make SUCH a good point. Power seats are just a statement in ways.
