The new gens are actually pretty sick haha the pops and bangs got muchhh better than the previous gen so I can appreciate that!
Hi I stumbled upon your channel. I have a 20th anniversary Golf R in white. Love the thing. It is a beast. I’m a member of the Mk8 GTI/R forum and that car you have on video is actually one of the last models of the 2022 year models that was probably delivered at the beginning of 2023. I would recommend skipping that car due to the many electrical gremlins it has. If you really want the car, get a used 2023 model at a later date. The way to differentiate them is by the center console where the gear lever is. The surrounding area is covered in piano gloss plastic and the steering wheel has a flushed VW logo. That is the real 2023 model and has ironed out most of the issues.

This is true! I had Mk8 2022 GTI it was plagued with issues. I traded in for 20th R 2023 and no issues! I did end up swapping the Piano black to flat just cause it looks cleaner in my eyes.

Once you are stage 2 e85 this car should do mid 8 seconds 60-130. Seconds high is damn impressive
The 20AE has the blue mirror caps, black wheels, and sunroof-delete. The car talks to you when you say "Volkswagen"
That matte center console was so much better than the gloss on the newer m.ys. I don’t know why they changed it
Oh for sure it looks cleaner! Too much gloss black gets dirty and it’s a nag to wipe it down all the time.

That’s right haha it’s definitely good seeing it from a person who drives a modified golf everyday, and I must say I absolutely love it and it’s so much smoother than the GTI! Might have to get one at some point soon 🤙👀

I see some Golf R's listed on Cargurus for $45k~, and if I'm not mistaken, they're faster than a brand new Mustang GT.. stock vs stock.

I finally scored one 500 dollars less than MSRP, had to drive six hrs to get it.
