Yes, the video IVE BEEN WAITING FOR. I’d say start with checking the vtec solenoid, vtc oil sensor and pcv valve. Get ALL Honda oem parts. These 3 things affect the “stock drivability”over all. Also go ahead and save up for a new clutch because you WILL need it especially if your car has a lot of miles. As far as performance goes, you can boost stock no problem but once you start uping the boost, you will need to bullet proof the trans. I have all acuity parts, K tuner or Hondata DOES NOT MATTER. as a current 9th gen coupe owner and previous rsx type s owner, i can definitely say both k20 and k24 platforms each have there pros and cons! but for daily purposes the k24 is nicer due to the way more instant torque. vtec isnt nearly as loud or kicks as hard but the torque makes up for it and the k24 still revs decently high. both great platforms though! loved the k20z1 in my old type s.

In the current process of turbocharging my FB6, N/A performance wise won't win over the 8th gen civic si because of our poorly head design.

I have a 2013 si 100% stock except air suspension, acuity short shifter , and hondata. Reliable very slow daily. If you’re looking for a fast car skip past this and don’t get a civic. If you’re looking for a super reliable car here it is. I’ve had my si for 2 years and (knock on wood) no issues as of yet.
3rd gen Acura TL is still the best
Only thing about 9th gens is you could spend money going fbo and tune and only gain 20-25 hp
10th gen si same parts double the hp
