FOR THOSE INSTALLING THE KTUNED WATER BYPASS, I suggest tapping the cylinder head and using the included hardware to guarantee the bypass won't leak. I had no issues for the first couple of weeks, but then noticed it had a slow leak from that area. After tapping and using the additional hex bolt, I've had no issues since.

Ok, I wasn’t actually looking to do anything to the intake, but actually doing a starter swap. It seemed like this was the best way to get to it. After watching your video, we decided to remove the intake manifold to get to the starter. It was absolutely the best way to get to the starter. Long story short, your video saved my ass!!! Started swapped, intake manifold reinstalled, and running and starting like a champ! Great video!! Thanks so much man!!
ive got a 7th gen accord build and this is by far the best video. i couldnt find much info on the middle parts that you had, just removing and tightening up really. but this showed me the proper way to do the fuel injectors. i wish i saw this before

RRC Intake manifold has got a factory cooling water bypass. I wonder if that fit on my K24A engine. This project gives me the creeps so far. The fun part will be awesome but so far that FD2R was giving me heartaches and headaches. Looking good and keep it up. Good and detailed video for what I could see.
@@dubzc5895 he would be lucky to make 215 on nicks dyno, I have the exact same setup minus the j37 TB I made 210 WHP, the RBC is all hype on these 9th gens, the head doesn't flow good enough to benefit from it, there is a reason why Honda never put RBC manifolds on k24s

You should've took the fuse for the fuel pump out then started the car it'll only run for like 3 seconds then shut off it'll clear the fuel rail of any fuel so it wouldn't be a mess

What happened to the accord build.. lol. Was the 300 mark ever made.. I was planning a build similar but couldn't find out the piston to valve clearance issue.. so far the k24a1 is the only block I know that will accept a k24a2 head
I would’ve kept the rail connected to the fuel line and the kept the injectors in the rail since your not changing them. Then pulled the whole rail up as a unit and just change the bottom o-rings into the runners. No gas spillage. Just my 2 cents, not that your way is that much more effort. Good work, Cheers!
Not a bad idea! I don't know if working with the lower seals would put too much pressure / cause too much movement with the upper clips causing any damage. Might be something to try out 👍
@@milanmastracci generally they’ll come out together pretty easily unless your dealing with heavy corrosion of the runners. But your civic is super clean from what I can see! Silicone spray as you know is your best friend!

Great video as always. K24z3 right here with ported head and a crapton of mods… all motor. Looking to know more about the ZDX tb, as I was thinking about it, but kept hearing that there are voltage issues as it demands more of the ECU and needs to be pinned elsewhere or it will blow the ecu eventually. If ht stick with Skunk2.
The ZDX TB does require a pro tune as it does pull a bit more power, however has been a tested and proven option. What I have seen as well, is when people run larger TB's, they will actually open up the TB and swap a stock 9th gen TB electric motor in it, so the only thing that is different is the physical size of the port.

I don't have any vacuum leaks at all, everything is tight. Just started my tune.. did u change ur stock throttle body motor over to the zdx or no? I was thinking about doing it.

hey i have a question. i have a honda accord with tsx intake manifold and i was thinking of doing that intake manifold coolant bypass. problem is, right in that spot i have the coolant temp sensor which has a bigger thread. Would i have to buy k-tuner's coolant temp sensor and replace it? would i need anything else? I can't really find anything on the internet. Thanks to whoever helps.

Is it doable to install a J37 Intake Manifold from a 2010 Honda Oddessey onto a 2006 Acura MDX 3.5L? Will they match? I also got the lower runners from P2R, with Thermal gaskets and a spacer for my TB.
@@milanmastracci I did put it on the dyno but didn't get a full tune on it since my buddy and I had a short time. He only did a couple of pulls. After that I just data log for him to adjust some more stuff to make it run good. I need to go back and dyno tune again.

You might, but I wouldn't consider the swap unless you get it tuned, so ensure that you can do that prior to doing the manifold swap.
