I also think that in the vlog you can show more behind the scene shots than the painting steps. We don't care if your workspace isn't tidy or aesthetic, it's nice to see the real life and it can motivate us to paint whatever the space we have available right now. This was a really nice video! I hope you’ll do more this style! I watch RUclips for inspiration more than for tutorials, so I prefer this type of videos. I also liked how you talked about not feeling very creative at a time where you still had plenty of inspiration, I could really relate to that but I had never put it in words like that for myself, so it was great hearing it from you! Also loved seeing all the beautiful Finish winter landscape (I live too far south, and too close to the sea, to get really good winters…)
I love this so much! I will go out on a limb and already say that I prefer this to your usual videos as much as they are amazing too. This just feels so cozy, natural and more intimate in a good way. And also, obviously I know how you look like but I don’t think I’ve seen you talk on camera before and it was honestly just cool to have a complete image of you as a person in my head (this sounds creepy, I mean it in the most non creepy way possible) - especially since I’ve been following your journey for so long now. And I love this format in general, more relaxed, less perfect, it feels like watching a friend. One thing on the paintings themselves - I was actually quite surprised that you painted the background of the berries after them, somehow I thought it was the other way around but again, so cool to see the behind the scenes! I don’t know what most of your videos are like because I’m new, but I sure did love this one. You are definitely onto something here. It all just works. Lovely. Motivating. Oh, and post script, I loved the two page spread with the red accents against the snow. The cabin and berries one. I live in the mountains too, with long winters, and I love winter so much, but you do get a little color starved by spring, so those burst of red were wonderful!

I especially liked that you mentioned the benefits of using a sketchbook rather than a full setup, ill have to try it out sometime 😁

If I can suggest anything, I would really love to see the process of making a reel/tiktok video (behind the scenes), because I would love to learn how to do that myself, with bujo or other craft styles included!
I absolutely loved this video. The painting I loved the most was the one for your grandfather. And to be honoust I don’t think that using a picture as inspiration is bad at all and I also think most people use a picture as a reference. The esthetic surroundings are not necessary for me either, I do watch you painting not the surroundings around you .
❤️❤️ Thank you, that’s so sweet of you! And yes absolutely, there’s nothing bad about using reference photos, I think I said it in a wrong way in this voiceover! I just meant that I’ve been a bit stuck creatively and my imagination hasn’t really worked like before haha. Like it’s hard to come up with ideas on my own which is something I used to do a lot before but now I’m struggling with. Maybe I’ll find the flow again with the increasing light of spring 🥰

Love to watch the behind the scenes, mine are always messy as well, it’s part of the process, love the hut/wood house in the middle of the snow forest, I think it’s just beautiful and the wood house stands out and love the details of the wood as well, well done. Dicevi che hai paura di esagerare con il colore ma a me personalmente i tuoi dipinti piacciono moltissimo proprio perché metti molto colore ... è una caratteristica tua personale che può piacere molto. Non avere timore i tuoi dipinti sono bellissimi passerei ore a guardarli . I paesaggi invernali sono tra i miei preferiti li ho dipinti in acquerello ma con la gouache trovo che risaltino molto di più , proverò a cimentarmi con la gouache e vedere se riesco a fare qualcosa di bello . Amo molto il dipinto della casetta rossa e il ramo di bacche ma dopo aver visto anche il bosco e il paesaggio di pini innevati sinceramente se mi chiedi di scegliere quale mi e piaciuto di più sono in difficoltà 😅 🤗.
I'm pausing to say that about aesthetics: yes some videos and pictures look amazing and beautiful but also I feel like it is too cluttered, like the flowers are in the way of the brush or something. When I draw or paint my desk is super messy, I think that's normal, so for me when I watch a video the important part is the paint itself. I hope you don't worry too much about such things and just do things as you please 😌

This year we didn't get any of it😢. And by the way i'm looking your drawing and your painting and not how it looks around you😜.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I really appreciate it! I love Switzerland 🤍 I’m from Finland and we mostly also had a winter of no snow here, we had a lot of snow in December but it has been mostly gone after that. Of course Lapland, northern Finland has had snow all of this time but I live in the south!
