@Nick Fletcher. See, yoda's vision could also be Grievous killing her. In a deleted scene of RotS, she's captured and killed on the invisible hand, right in front of Anakin and Obi Wan. In fact, much like how we see it in Yoda's vision.
But there’s also a deleted of Anakin killing her during the attack on the Jedi temple
The classic Lucasfilm logo, the red title card, John Williams score(No disrespect to Kilner....but Williams is the master), pre pubescent Caleb, Ayla on Felucia, ROTS Grievious, cocky Anakin, the banter with Obi-Wan......and that's just the first 5 minutes.
I mean when the original man is John Williams who has this, Harry Potter, Jaws, Indiana Jones and others there is no shame in your theme being second to him. Though I enjoy the Clone Wars theme

John Williams' classics will always be classic, but I'd say Kevin Kiner has outshined John Williams more in recent works. Kiner's music in this episode is just amazing.

I like the little nod when Ahsoka says “I‘ll race you to the surface” to Rex. Is an almost the same line when Anakin says “I’ll race you to the top” to Ahsoka when they try to rescue Jamba’s son

You know, seeing as Ahsoka is already face to face with Maul at the end of this first episode, I'm kinda wondering if the actual siege and the Maul vs Ahsoka duel is going to be over by the end of next episode. We may actually end up getting a much longer Order 66 & ROTS-crossover than anticipated.
As much as I’m hyped for the siege I’d love 2 episode directly in order 66 even more

Absolutely incredible start, I love how Kyle was able to immediately connect the first battle scene with what we hear from Obi-Wan in ROTS about the business on Cato Neiomodia not counting. I wonder if they will integrate parts of the Coruscant battle in the next episode, perhaps even finally resolving how Shaak Ti canonically died.
It’d be incredible if we saw some Grievous action when capturing the chancellor to see how different it is from the 2003 version. I’m so hyped for the last few episodes 😄
They better show grevious slaying some Jedi scum in the next episode
Rohit Jammu Coruscant May be the side story in the next one, but hopefully it is an entertaining one since the battle of Coruscant was so large,

I think Maul is going to tell Ahsoka the identity of Sidious. And then she’ll be like “no! That’s not true! That’s impossible!” But then it’s too late to do anything about it because order 66 happens.
It would ectually make sense maul would show sidious identity after what sidious did to him in the son of dathomir arc. Love this idea :)
I think If Obi Wan had came like he wanted, he would've told him because he knows Obi Wan would believe him.
I like the way you think. And that would be cool. But not likely because the senate has power all the way up to a new hope when Tarkin tells Vadar on the Death Star. Plus Asoka works for the rebels and would tell them. At least Bail Antilles would believe her. He would use that info to disrupt things in the senate before Palpatine was ready. Also in a new hope it seems that most people in galaxy still don’t know

No, that incident was in Cato Neimoidia, the planet on this episode was Yerbana.

Ahsoka parting with Anakin on relatively good terms makes sense given how she couldn't believe Anakin had become Vader in Rebels. In their last scene together, he just seemed like same old Anakin, you know? Barely a hint of darkness. Just happy to see her once again.

I don’t think we should see Cal, Kanan, or Cere’s journey through Order 66. Those characters didn’t have a presence in this show and we didn’t get to really know their characters in this show. It’s going to be confusing and distracting for those that haven’t played JFO or watched Rebels. Besides, we’ve already seen their sides of the conflict, they could better use that screen time on something new and more exciting (I love all three of those characters, I just don’t think it’s a good use of screen time for the remainder of the show)
This episode is so good. I dare say the best episode of TCW I've ever watched.

Also, no, I don't think the deleted scene in ROTS of Shaak Ti getting killed by Grievous is canon now. My understanding is that Anakin kills Shaak Ti in the Jedi Temple during Order 66 in canon. I believe in one of the comics (I forget which one) Shaak Ti is protecting the chancellor, she faces off with Grievous during the Siege of Coruscant, but he knocks her out and leaves with the chancellor.
I know it ain't canon, but isn't that exactly what happened in the '03 micro-series?

When he finally realizes that the boy is kanan... that face was priceless. I’m both looking forward and dreading having to see order 66 again, but this time with clone wars characters that we’ve grown to love over these past 10 years.

9:50 I love how Dave brilliantly added the episode 3 beginning theme which shows , that obiwan and anikin arrived at courosant and when this theme was playing Asoka was doing this during the beginning of revenge of the Sith....I LOVE IT

Oh wow, I just finished watching the episode. And it was by far, the BEST episode of the Clone Wars saga. Especially the quiet opening, where all you hear is this calm Star Wars melody...and then it opens up on the original Star Wars theme from John Williams. I knew it was going to be epic. Not gonna lie, I may have shed a tear or two...when Anakin, and Ahsoka reunite again. And in regards to Kanen, I had no idea who that boy was....but when you mentioned Caleb Dume, I was like holy shit! This arc..is going to be awesome.
I loved this episode! Felt super solid and complete. Definitely made up for the last arc

Asoka in the rebles tv series did say the last time she saw anakin was when he rushed off to save the chancellor.
Seeing the 212th attack battalion fighting on the bridge reminded me of Christophsis and the brutality of the battle had some deep Umbara vibes. Hell even the clones shouting and cheering were taken directly from Christophsis, "Up to the front!" This episode was great, finally got to see this show tie into ROTS after a long time hoping for it.
These 4 episodes cut together and shown in the cinema was my dream for the longest time, the intro sequence on Yerbana would be so amazing. A year later however, I am still both happy and amazed that D+ greenlit this to begin with. I still remember hearing Dave talk about it during a celebration panel and being so sad the show was cut short back then.

I’m glad they’ve canonized the 2003 battle of coruscant/Shaak ti got killed.

Ashoka's white crystals are from an inquisitors saber, Ashoka defeated the inquisitor only with the force and made the crystals pure again

Did anyone else notice a parallel between the scene where Anakin presents Ahsoka with her lightsabers in "Old Friends Not Forgotten" and the "Wrong Jedi" scene where Anakin tries to give her back her padawan braid and she closes his hand? They're kinda the reverse of each other, where in one she is walking away from him and in the other, she is kinda coming back to him. I think the scene with her accepting the lightsabers shows how much she still values Anakin.
Obi Wan entrance saving Cody & Ashoka fight scene when troop carrier crashes was awesome. All battle scenes were of the charts.
Anakin walking out with all blasters on him reminded me of Luke on crate in TLJ.

Always love your Star Wars content and reactions man, just a quick note, Anakin and Obi-wan weren't on Cato Neimoidia, i had to go back and rewatch to be sure but the opening narration said they were on the "distant planet of Yobanna" ( I have no idea if that is spelled right or not).

Bad Batch had Shakti die back on Kamino, so I guess in canon she survived Greivous’ assault and returned to Kamino where she died in Order 66.
Honestly, Anakin deserves more respect. He was the reason that Ahsoka's name did get cleared by the end when he went on that journey and strangled the info out of Ventress lol. Fuckin' wiped the floor with Barriss too.

Amazing reaction, this episode was longer than the rest. I noticed that the new lightsaber part of Maul it look exactly the same that Ventress had in Dark Disciple, literally like the same.

Technically that’s Gar Saxon from the Darth Maul Son of Dathomir comics who was put in Rebels later. I actually like that how they did a character that would’ve been a Clone Wars character.

I'm getting the sense the son of dathomir is being retconned. Hear me out...in the show, last we see maul, palps purposely kept him alive for "his uses". Now we learn Maul was trying to Lure Obi Wan away from Coruscant...away from Anakin. So Obi Wan won't be around to sway Anakin to the light. Palps is deceiving Maul into believing he's part of the plan to destroy the jedi, convert the republic to the empire and Maul being by Palpatine's side. Maul's dialog in the trailers suggest this. "The galaxy will be remade" "surely you've felt it, the dark side has never been stronger"
Wish we got to see more grievous. Instead of the sister arc. We should have gotten crystal crisis or the battle of corasunt

So here's a question that I JUST thought about after watching this past episode for the 5th time. When Anakin beheaded the tactical droid, do you think he kept that head, and is that the head that Ashoka used to find Rex in Rebels? Just a thought and a possible little nugget that they added in for us to think about.

It is interesting seeing two males react to this episode who are total fans. I love this show. I love seeing fans react to the show too.
Something I noticed is that when Anakin walks out to confront the separatists in the beginning, there's a shot that mirrors Luke facing down the first order on Crait. Like father like son 😉.
Also, the clones painting their helmets is sweet, but isn't that basically star wars black face? 🤣🤣🤣
My Prediction is that Order 66 is going to be the cliffhanger at the end of Part 3.
Imagine if Anakin and Obi-Wan went to Mandalore instead...they might have capture Maul, learn the truth and really stop the war...Damn Palpatine...Also that was the plan Sidious had for Maul all along...Separate Obi-Wan from Anakin for the Coruscant assault, during him even faster to the dark side and destabilize the underworld !! Asokha was probably something he didn't predict...Also it's not the same lightsabers from Rebels, they are shorter...
