Vacation Juice from Animal Crossing| How to Drink

- Tom Nook offered to pay me 1500 bells if I made a real world version of Vacation Juice so here it is, come along to my private isle in Animal Crossing and relax!
By now, everyone knows about Animal Crossing- in fact I'm late to the party. Truth is, I didn't have a Nintendo when the quarantine hit, and it's been impossible to get one ever since, so I'm going off the best research I can put together here on this one. I don't think I'm missing much though, because I know what the drink looks like, that it's a vacation blender drink, and that it costs 150 bells. Let's do this thing.
Vacation Juice certainly looks a lot like a drink called a Blue Hawaiian (not to be confused with a Blue Hawaii, more on that in the video) but it has a gradient color instead of being a solid color all through, I think I've got a solution there. Isabelle, this one's for you!
Ideally, you'll have a blender for this, though you could get around that by using very crushed ice, like snow.
Vacation Juice
.75 oz. or 22 ml. Orange Juce
1.5 oz. or 45 ml. Cream of Coconut
.75 oz. or 22 ml. Pineapple Juice
2 oz. or 60 ml. rum
Blend with ice to a frappe
Pour into poco grande glass up to about 3/4 then...
Add .5 oz. or 15 ml. Blue Curaçao to what's left in the blender
quickly pulse to mix
and float this across the top of the drink
garnish with a lime wheel, maraschino cherry and plumeria blossom

Love the metric convertion. We usually use centiliters as the measurement for drinks. Milliliters is a bit too precise for drink making

FYI, real plumeria flower trees, and the flowers themselves do have this milky sap that is poisonous, so just be careful if you choose to use the real thing :)

We all know Isabelle likes hard drinks. This is a great drink to have while playing Animal Crossing in the summer.

Yes the painkiller cocktail my dude. I mean he lives in New York so he may have a slight narcotics addiction and but not anything he talks about on the show.
I know when I visited New York for a weekend with a friend a couple of years ago before all of this nuttiness. I was so grateful to have a bottle of Tramadol to help me get to sleep at night. The city literally never shuts the f**** up and it's very weird for somebody who's not used to that.
For the record I had recently broken my arm before the trip so the Tramadol was all legitimately prescribed

"Vacation Juice" sounds like a euphemism for a cocktail that is heavily spiked with hallucinogenic drugs.

I made my version of this with a homemade lychee syrup trying to source ingredients and fruits found in game, and that added a really unique and nice flavor I don’t usually get in cocktails, although your layering and the blending are something I need to put into it next time I try my hand at one of these!

Not in New Horizons. As he mentioned, it’s only really appeared in Pocket Camp.
Well ya the drink stuff is not in ACNH yet and it will be a bit before we get drinks... We might also need to make space on our islands to open up a new building for said drinks
Also if anything it will just be coffee tea and maybe smoothies their will be no 'drinks' besides the ones Isabel has on her desk
Actually guys, there's already "coconut juice" in ACNH which, despite the innocuous name, has all the classic hallmarks of an alcoholic beach drink. And that's just one of the DIYs I have, so there may be more I haven't discovered.
@@ZarniwoopIII There's also the Infused-Water Dispenser, that could pass as "jungle juice" or punch (it's a bit green to be "water", probably a little midori or some other blue/green liquoirs), and Mixer furniture item, which just has various flavours of juices and smoothies as the variants. Most of the Mixer variants look a bit chunky to pretend they're anything though, but some could maybe pass as margaritas or alcoholic slushies. It wouldn't be too hard to set up a pretend little bar or something.

I made this one drink with rum, pineapple juice and lemonade. Try it out if you want. It tastes good.

For those playing the homegame (where in filming is Greg today) he now has a new tell; the more drunk he gets the more likely he is to say Ahrnge instead of orange because your natural accent comes out more when you drink.
ive made something similar to this before but i didnt have pineapple juice and ended up using pinapple-rum. i also didnt use a blender just shook it. this does look amazing and im gonna have to make it.

My point is, alcohol is okay, Nintendo.*
I mean, putting alcohol in a kid’s game is outlawed in some countries or seen as advertising alcoholism to kids so, by making it all cutesy and not mentioning alcohol Nintendo covers their ass legally and press wise. It’s not that they’re against putting alcohol in the games, it’s purely a market and brand thing.

you said "plumeria" and I was hit full force by a forgotten childhood memory of winning a pack of scented body washes at a family reunion. the only one I remember is the plumeria, and it was my favorite of the scents, so thanks for bringing back a memory and I agree, they smell so lovely
I highly recommend making. I made it for my whole family reunion and everyone said it was amazing. If they didn't know better they thought it was one of the best they've had. Will for sure be checking out other video / recipes in the future.
