I love how you really enjoy the ice of life elements of this season because that arc before the journey to sand area is considered the weakest arc of the story.

During the Season 3 announcement the following things were said:
"To protect the precious things I have gained after reincarnating, I will fight (face) the impossible."
And then just Season 3 is in production.
There're not many thing called impossible in this series
Generally, when someone faces the "impossible" it quite literally means what it is implied, as a barrier one can never hope to surpass. I can only imagine what Rudeus will mean by this in the next season...

They skipped and changed a lot. It’s still amazing and out of all the skipped content there’s only 1 conversation I think shouldn’t have been cut out.
Damn Rudy really went in 3 different dungeons in season 2 and survived what a legend
There is one more call back. When Norn started yelling at Roxy, Rudy tried to protest, but Norn said, "brother you shut up" in the same tone and sentence Zenith said to Paul in the Lilia pregnancy reveal scene. I think that's what took Rudy aback, I guess like mother like daughter. Norn was still inside Zenith at the time, so only Rudy and maybe Lilia would remember that.
Norn is just like Zenith and Rudeus is just like Paul.
It's quite fitting actually for the story!
Parallels from earlier in the series.
The words Rudy said to Norn, same as the speech Paul gave to Rudy in S1E2.
What Norn said to Rudy about bedding a woman etc parallel to S01E16 during the fight between Paul and Rudy, what Paul said to Rudy, about playing around with his girlfriend instead of looking for people.
Norn laying it into Rudy during sword training because she's angry at him, exactly the same thing Paul did in S01E04 after Rudy told Zenith it was all Paul's fault when he cheated.
Rudy and Lilia standing in the same positions Paul and Lilia stood when Rudy was born.

Norn saying "you be quiet!" to Rudy, the same as Zenith to Paul in S1 E4 during the Paul and Lillia infidelity reveal

Pretty based for Norn to drop a diss track in a season finale. She cooked Rudy and Roxy so bad, Roxy just straight up accepted the L. Definitely excited for S3 since I'll get to see more people drop their jaws on several upcoming scenes, and it's also almost everyone's favorite arc tbh.

In the last episode when Rudy was really down on himself and talking to Roxy he somewhat admitted he came from another world because he said something along the lines of him getting a second chance but he's still the same as before, so maybe Roxy kinda knows he's not from this world, I feel like Sylphy kinda knows too because of the interactions with Nanahoshi and after Norn recovered from her issues with Rudy, Rudy again kinda spoke his thoughts out loud about being from another world.
And I believe the credits song is sung by the artist that did the opening and ending in season 1, Yuiko Ohara, so good! I was also happy to see a glimpse of Eris in the credits, I miss her!
For a bit of context from the novels.
they didn't mencion it but after they clear the Laberynth they made BANK.
Gease and the rest travel back to the boss chamber to pick up magic crystaals, Hydra scales and a bunch of magic items they divide it equally, But Rudeus recive Paul's share, half of Tallhand becouse he said he cudn't help much and cudn't accept it, Viera and Shiera gave half of their share to Lilia so yea, no monny problems for a while.
not that Rudeus cared much about it,
Aisha is a much better sister to Norne in the anime, in the Novels Aisha its mostly indiferent to Norne and looks down on her, Aisha never misses a chance to undermine Norne.
she didn't came to hug her and offerd no support to Norne that coment about "you never think before you speek" wasn't a playful jab in the novel.
it was an "im better than you" even Rudeus scold her for that coment.
The fact that Aisha say it after Norne encourage her to not hold back becouse of her tells you a lot.
I prefear Aisha in the anime =)
when norne Asked Rudeus to teach her how to use the sword she allso said that she cudn't aprove of what he did... but didn't hate him eather.
Sylphie and Roxy's talk was a bit longuer most of their little talk made it into the anime but they did made some arrangements about spending time with Rudy equally, Roxy felt to guillty and said she was fine with a few nights once in a while, Sylphie told her that they shud spend tie with him equally becouse Rudy cud still bring more wives.
Roxy agree but allso said thet she will not marry Rudeus or sleep with him until Sylphie had her baby and incisted that they sleep toguether untill then.
that night Rudeus had a serious pillow talk with Sylphie, he felt really bad about what he did to her and said that If Sylphie woud have been the one who cheated thers no way he woud have take it as Gracefully as she did, Sylphie just laugh and said that thers no way she woud cheat on him.
it made Rudeus feel he didn't deserve her, Sylphie told Rudeus that she woud be ok with him taking more wives but he cudn't spring it on her again, he has to introduce them to the familly first and Sylphie will not Let him marry any woman that dosn't love him back, no lovers or secret children!!
thers a few more things but they are probably saving them for next season.
I have to say it Mushoku tensey is the onlly anime with a harem that I can get behind.
they are usually there for pure fanservice and wishfulfilment with little no nothing beond that, not Mushoku tensei, its is the fist time that I have seen some one ading substance and value to one of the trashiest anime tropes.
This episode covers one of the reasons I think Norn is the best written character in the whole story, she is by far my favourite in the series. From the little scared girl who bickered and fought with Aisha to comforting and telling her to go hug her parent she hasn't seen in months scared that they may not return n. Even though Norn lost her mother and father she wants Aisha to be happy.

@@Savldj ye she can be but I'm biased on future content. She is stuck up, is very onto her opinions, and her beliefs and will let others know. But, can you blame her? After what she saw, sylphie was always looking forward to seeing Rudy again. Norn saw that and then she saw this other girl that looks younger than her wanting to marry Rudy. And Rudy back for her. She is going to be mad.

For anyone who wants to dive into the light novels, they're actually releasing audiobooks for it now if that's more your style(especially to passively listen to the parts the show already covered). On audible they're already past where season 3 will end.
And if you noticed she stopped having a go once she saw he lost his hand. He tried his best and lost hisnhand and his dad. Norn saw this.

I predicted 2 or 3 OVA's before season 3 for cut content which i wont mention. And i will have a go at anyone who spoils it in the replies.
The cut content they did have just wouldn't have fitted in nicely to the season so having them as a OVA would be great.
As much as I'd like 2-3 OVA episodes, we'll probably only get one... But any of those Extra Chapters would make a good episode so I don't mind even if we got only one of them.

13:55 There's not much more beyond informing one's social circle that a woman is one's wife when it comes to weddings in the setting. Millis conducts big church weddings, though.
The wedding reception is only held when a couple gets a new house for themselves as they get married. With Roxy, all Rudeus needed to do was introduce her to everyone as his wife and to have a wedding night.
In the novel, Sylphie become a literal boss Queen that she is telling Norn to "Norn, could you please shut up for a second?" 😂

This episode made me tear up, absolutely peak
Look at the end of the episode when lilia gave rudeus Lucy to hold he was taller than her in that scene where he wasn't before. One of the complaints in cour 2 that light novel readers pointed out was that he's shorter than he should be, and in the month where sylphy is due, the animators gave him the growth spurt he was supposed to have.
I suggest reading the translation for the s3 announcement for your prediction video.

One thing that could have save Paul is if Rudeus took his time to recruit someone powerful like Bagidadi or Ruijerd. But then Roxy would have died.
The only way both could be alive is if once Rudy rescued Roxy and found the main boss is a Hydra, the entire team should have backoff and wait until Bagidadi or Ruijerd or both could be recruited to help. But it would be hard to convince Paul to wait for few months / years for another attempt
Season 3 will adapt volume 14 and 15, my favorite volumes ever. Anime only's are NOT ready.
Last time it was 1.5y from S1 to S2 (with 1 Eris OVA episode). I hope we'll get one Eris OVA episode by the end of this year. Then S3 in Jan 2026 (Oct 2025 if we're lucky)

Now that we have the Season 3 announcement it's probably best if the anime watchers stay anime only.
I binged the entire series of novels after season 1, but if were're anywhere close to getting Season 3 that's going to be so amazing I wouldn't want people to spoil it.
I bet that Season 3 either comes 2025 or 2026 depending on how early they greenlit the third season in terms of production, mainly due to them needing to secure a good broadcasting time slot
I wanted to bring up something when you mentioned how Rudy hadn't told anyone about his past aside from Nanahoshi. In the Light Novels that covers this season (volume 12), he absolutely does hint toward his previous life to Roxy during their conversations at the inn after Paul's death. I guess it was a creative decision by the showrunner to not include that in the anime. I don't think it is a spoiler to even mention it to you as Roxy never brings it up again after that scene. From the remaining content of the LNs, I doubt they will ever bring it up in the anime. Rudy will keep his previous life to himself, so just Nanahoshi will know. I guess the showrunner decided it's not relevant enough, though I disagree. But ah, well. There's a lot of content that was omitted from the LNs either way. We have 14 more volumes left to cover and I do wonder what else the anime will cut out.
If Rudy hadn't gone to help Paul he would have lost more than he did if you ask me, Roxy would probably be dead, the entrance to the sixth room probably would not be found and if they did I doubt they could have beat the Hydra and knowing Paul he would have died trying along with the other party members and never rescue Zenith

That's one way to look at it! I will be making a video on a "what if" outcome. This will be one of the topics. What if Rudeus listened to the Man-God and what would have happened to Paul.
My dude, I can tell your passion for the show, It's been a privilegie to watch alongside you. I'd say it will be at least 2 years before we have a S3 release, or so I hope because S3 is PEAK MUSHOKU Content-wise and we don't want it to be rushed and face similar prooduction problems as some parts of S2 had. When S1 finished I couldn't deal with it so I started readingn the Light Novels and as you know MT is such greatness that once you pick up a volume you just cannot stop. Each one is about 180 to 240 pages or so and S02E24 ends where Vol 12 ends, and there are 26 volumes, so we are alamost half way into the story xD.
The director of the anime said that he will make whole manga so we can have season 4 and maybe 5 too

Hopefully that means during 2026, but yes very doubtful for anything during 2025 (unless the studio wants to lower the quality).
I'd rather Studio Bind take their time and deliver each episode like season 1 quality. I would gladly wait for 2027 if that is the case.

Now that Norn has gotten past her misunderstandings about Rudeus she is great as a character, she is very much so a religious zealot who takes her faith very seriously and is willing to give as much of a tongue lashing as needed, which frankly is good because it helps keept Rudy grounded instead of feeling like he can just get away with anything.
In a way it is a counter weight for him getting to comfortable with things.

Eris remains the best character in the work.

The horny elf was one of the factors why I didn't like this part of the work, obviously with exceptions, but he was always very present at the gym and they put her with another guy so she wouldn't be thrown into the story without any importance.
The anime seems strange to me, because the protagonist is 16 years old and really, to me, he has the face of a teenager hahaha. I think it's strange to see a 16-year-old guy with a harem and kids.
It wasn't really Rudy's fault either, it was just one of those things where he was trying to come up with a plan and simply was at the wrong distance for his way of doing things, the reason why he froze was because he was trying to use his eye to predict the hydra's movements, but he was too close, he was simply caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, it could have happened to anyone, this was also his first time in a dungeon like that one.
None of them could have expected it to start doing something completely different, also Rudeus is not weak by any means he just doesn't have the constitution for swordsmanship the same way Paul or Eris does, he is an incredibly powerful magician, and one of the most powerful ones at that, he is so powerful that Orsted was worried about letting him live since he would only get stronger, he is no slouch and he has plenty of combat experience, the plan was just incredibly risky all around, it involved him basically getting point blank range with the hydra to hit it with his fire magic, which left him very vulnerable.
Also for our world it is weird that a 16 year old would be married and starts a family but for them it isn't, it is truly a different world with different cultures, customs, and religions, a place alien to us as the audience which makes it exciting to see.
