      Eating Kosher is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Circumcision of male children is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Trimming your beard according to the Law of Moses is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Water baptisms were a part of the Old Covenant, but they are not required under the New Covenant. The proof is found below. John baptized with water. Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. Which one is related to salvation, based on Romans 8:9? What is the one baptism of our faith in Ephesians 4:5, based on 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Acts 1:5?
      .
      (YLT) only in victuals, and drinks, and different baptisms, and fleshly ordinances-till the time of reformation imposed upon them .
      .
      Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
      Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
      Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
      Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
      Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
      .
      Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
      Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
      .
      1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
      .
      Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
      .
      Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
      .
      Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
      .
      Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
      Who did John the Baptist say is the greatest Baptist that ever lived in Luke 3:16? What kind of New Covenant baptism comes from Christ?

    How do you put on Christ? Galatians 3:27 tells us , As many of you that were baptized into Christ ,have put on Christ. Paul was struck down by a great light on the way to Damascus, he was blind and didn’t eat or sleep for three days, he was told by Ananias to arise and be baptized and wash away his sins.

  • @davidmason9925
    @davidmason9925 Год назад +2

    The word for “wash away” in verse 16 of Acts 22 is only used in one other place in the New Testament: 1 Corinthians 6:11, in its context “And such were some of you; but you “are washed” Saul is being instructed to now call upon the Name of the Lord, whom he had been calling upon in his ignorance; “Who art Thou Lord?” Now having “been washed” of his sins.
    Incidentally, although so many religions use baptism as a symbolic washing (even the Jews) believers baptism is not a washing but rather a symbolic burial. Romans 6:3-6

    Great video, thank you Brother for helping me to better learn to divide the Word of Truth.
    Saul referred to Jesus as Lord immediately after he saw Him, calling Him Lord (Kurios) before and after Jesus identifies Himself in Acts 9:5-6 (KJV) indicating the ramifications of Christ's post-ascension appearance from the Father's right hand, he was saved immediately after Jesus appeared to him in the Glory He had before the world was (John 17:5) which led to 3 days without sight, food, or water for Saul (Acts 9:9).
    "And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
    And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do."
    When Jesus requires Ananias to inquire in the house of Judas to find Saul and put his hand on him so that he may receive his sight, Christ says Saul IS a chosen vessel unto Him, further indicating Saul was immediately saved.
    "But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:" [Acts 9:15] KJV

      Ananias instructed him to do two activities which require prior faith. Calling upon the name of the Lord and water baptism. We need to take into account Saul’s history and sin prior to his conversion. He persecuted and blasphemed the church of God. I believe the washing is in reference to a cleansing of conscience and identification with the risen Saviour.

      Because baptism is for the remission of sins, it saves us, it is the washing of regeneration, and it is how you are born of water. The old testament jews were born of water and of the Spirit by being baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea. The thief on the cross was a jew and was born of water and of the Spirit in the old testament. The new testament gospel of being born of water and Spirit is to repent and be baptized and the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, you will speak in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
      Paul preached this same gospel to the Ephesians in Acts 19:1-7

      @@carlogeorge2349 I generally agree but you haven't really defined it. Salvation is multifaceted: justification, sanctification, and glorification. So salvation in the NT depends on the context. For example, in the context of Eph 2:3, "salvation" (justification, in context) seems to mean "receiving a new, righteous, nature." You receive a new nature through baptism according to Rom 6 and Col 2:11,12.

      Act 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
      * Act 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
      * Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
      My* Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
      Act 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
      Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
      * Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
      * Act 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
      * Act 17:34 Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
      Act 18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
      Act 21:25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
      * Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
      * Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
      * Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
      Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
      * Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
      Rom 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
      Rom 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
      Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
      * Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
      * Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
      * Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
      * Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
      * 1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 1Cor 15:1-2
      1Co 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
      1 Cor 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
      1Co 15:2 By which (Gospel) also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
      * Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
      Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
      * Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
      * Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
      Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
      1Th 1:7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
      1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

    A person must be “baptized” to be saved, but it has nothing to do with water. The proof is found below.
    Old Covenant Baptism vs. New Covenant Baptism (water vs. Spirit)
    Water baptism was a part of the Old Covenant system of ritual washing. The Old Covenant priests had to wash before beginning their service in the temple. (Ex. 30:17-30) When Christ was water baptized by His cousin John in the Jordan River, He was under the Old Covenant system. He also only ate certain foods, and wore certain clothes, as prescribed by the 613 Old Covenant laws. Christ was water baptized by John and then the Holy Spirit came from heaven. (Acts 10:38) The order is reversed in the New Covenant. A person receives the Holy Spirit upon conversion, and then believers often declare their conversion to their friends and family through a water baptism ceremony. Which baptism makes you a member of Christ’s Church?
    The New Covenant conversion process is described below. (Born-again)
    Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
    Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
    (A person must “hear” the Gospel, and “believe” the Gospel, and will then be “sealed” with the Holy Spirit.)
    Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
    (See Jer. 31:34 for the New Covenant promise, and 1 John 2:27 for the fulfillment)
    ============
    Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says?
    What did Peter say below?
    Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
    Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
    Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 1:5, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water/ every time they read the word "baptize" in the text.
    Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage?
    Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
    Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
    Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
    Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
    Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (See 1 Cor. 12:13)
    “baptize” KJV
    Mat_3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
    Mar_1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
    Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Water or Holy Spirit?, See Eph. 1-13.)
    Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
    Joh_1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
    Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
    1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
    1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (See Eph. 4:1-5)
    Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. (Old Covenant ----> New Covenant)
