    I'm always saving the cardboard out of the cat food boxes! I love the idea of turning them into a journal. Great rustic feel and the tape really seals it! No pun intended. Lol😅 Going to make one of these!

    I made one a year or so ago from one (corigated) Amazon box. It was inspired by another artist who used stiff wire to make rings to hold it together.
    Made a smaller ond this year using loose leaf rings.
    Now i got to put these ideas from your video into another one!

    Although I love all your videos, this is one of my two favorites. After watching it the first time, I made my own Cardboard Journal and I love it!. I did my first spread in the first two pages on Valentine's Day 2021 and have added to it on and off until a few weeks ago when I added the last bits. My other favorite hand-made journal is the one I made with the canvas cover. That was a video you did in the membership, and both sit on my desk to remind me to do a little arting when I forget. You always seem to get my creativity going! ☺️

    I knew I was saving all that cardboard for some reason! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I love the idea of a junk, 15-minute journal. Removes that hesitation factor when faced with a blank white page in a "precious" art journal! Do you ever gesso your pages before working on a page?

    Does the cardboard warp from water media?

    • @ConsieSindet
      @ConsieSindet  3 года назад +1

      Hi! If you use a ton of water it might but so far I've had no issues with whatever I chosen to use. Hope that helps!

    Questions : does the outline of the masking tape show through in your art work ? Also, have you ever used duct tape ? Will paint even cover duct tape ?

    • @ConsieSindet
      @ConsieSindet  2 года назад +3

      Yes it can but I do so much collage it doesn't bother me. The masking tape takes paint well so that helps a lot. I'm not a fan of duct tape but I don't think it would take paint great just because it has a slicker surface. If you use duct tape, you might want to go over it with some white gesso to give it a better painting surface. Hope that helps!
