CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12. I actually DID divide mine into 12, but the spaces are so small that it didn't make a difference.
Yea, I noticed that... I was thinking ... does she mean 12 LINES, or 12 SPACES? So, I stopped the clip and counted... Yep, 12 LINES, meaning, 13 SPACES ;) I LOVE that template idea for poking the holes in the spine!!! When you do that first envelope, you suddenly speed up the clip... ARGh!!! I don't know how to do that 'simple three something stitch'. But I found a solution! I played it at 0.25 speed (instead of normal speed) and was able to see what you actually did. ;)
Dear Natasha, that was absolutely amazing, I just can't imagine why you would think that you may be confusing..... your tutorials are probably the best in the field. Your voice is calm, you are extremely detailed and you make me feel that I can do it. It's like you said, I always think that other crafters do everything faster than me, but when I listen to you I feel more energetic and confident and ready to start creating. Thank you so much.
I'm so glad, thank you Stella!! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I enjoyed your tutorial very much and will make an envelope journal just like it. I can’t bring myself to throw our the trimmings off beautiful paper. Now I know what I can do with them! I have subscribed and am looking forward to some more of your tutorials.
I love that you add sewing! As a sewist of 50 years, I will add two tiny points here for you. Firstly, you'll see an improved look sewing around cover from the outer side. The bobbin side of machine does not produce as fine looking a stitch as the needle side. And where you stop & start, I would pull both threads to the wrong side. Once your threads are cut, gently pull up the bobbin thread up on the wrong side. The top thread will form a loop which you can pull with pin or awl. If you tie the two threads in a square knot, you'll never see a thread pop loose. If you are at an edge , you can adjust the knot to the wrong side. These were details taught in schools when home ec was still a required course.
Thank you so much Tracey. I do usually do that, but for this project I did the sewing on the inside so that I can keep those bits of fabric tight while sewing :) I also do pull both ends to the inside but I haven't been tying a square knot admittedly, I just kind of put the threads together and make one knot. Thank you for the tips, I love tips!!!
My seamstress grandmother will be rolling in her grave, but I have to ask: When you say "gently pull up the bobbin thread up on the wrong side" exactly what does that mean? There are so many papercraft tutorials that use sewing as an embellishment that I'm considering buying an inexpensive machine to use just for crafting. After watching this tutorial for the umpteenth time, I think I might actually do it now. I'm concerned about sewing through the glue. Is there a type of needle I should get extras of for replacing inevitable breakage? I'm assuming that using the machine outside of its intended parameters will be hard on it.
This would be a wonderful way to store your seeds from your garden that you plan to plant in the spring. You can even press a flower and put it in the envelope with its seeds and you'll know what seed you have! How clever of me lol!
I agree with the others, you do the best tutorials of them all. Love that you write the steps clearly down and give us a chance to screenshot the instructions. Thank you. You really are so thoughtful.
Hi Natasha, since I found you on RUclips I'm devouring your precious tutorials on journal making. From the beginning to the end all step-by-step instructions are utterly precise. There is nothing superflues or overstating in your talking us through the whole exciting procedure. I so admire your ART of teaching and creating. I wish you all the best an THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your expertise with us!
ALWAYS ALWAYS looking forward spending time with you. My head is always full of ideas after 'meeting you'! On this side of the world the day just started and you gave me enough to do again to fill up my spare time!!, Already excited and still have to get breakfast and do my work on the farm. After that I can start with this project! Have some alternative ideas already!!, can't wait!!!
Natasha, honey I just read through the comments thus far... you sure do inspire a whole lot of people! Clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that you are wonderful! This book will be so handy to have on my desk, and it's beautiful t'boot! Happy Valentine's Day Sweetie, and thanks for sharing your time. MK. 🤗💗🌞🌵
Thank you so much lovelyyyyy! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I want tell you that this video is by far the most informative, without to much extra talking and precise video tutorial that I have ever watched. It was absolutely the most refreshing time that I have spent online in a long time. I will be looking for more! Thank You
You work very clean and carefully, congratulations. There is no one like you. You do not talk unnecessarily, you do not steal our time. They steal our 1 hour for 1 tag xx
I think you are a wonderful teacher. Our little craft group of mature aged ladies were keen to try our hand at making a junk journal and watching you has really been a true inspiration. Thank you so much. Tasmania Australia
That fabric you're using is called "kain batik" in Malaysia. It is a traditional fabric used by our ancestors and still used as our pyjamas/"kain sarung" nowadays.. Thank you for using them uniquely 💕
I know this is a 2 year old video but I still wanted to comment and say I love this idea! I started making Christmas junk journals but I made the spines so wide. I have a bunch of Christmas stock paper so I think I'm going to do the envelopes in it instead of tea dyed paper. Then I can put in hot chocolate packets, tea, gift cards, thin wrapped candy and the like. Thanks for the ideas! LOVE your channel and your sense of humor. 😉
Thank you so much! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I learned how to make junk journal’s years ago from RUclips. It takes practice, start small, few envelopes, and learn the technique first, then you can Advance yourself. I didn’t have a sewing machine, so used glue. Once I Advanced myself, I used Buttons, lace, pockets, and much more, it was fun, and made them for gifts ❤️ RUclips has a lot of videos for beginners. Thank you.
Thank you so much ! I love your videos. I’m from Brazil 🇧🇷 and speak brazilian portuguese... I’m having english classes and i’m so happy ‘cause I understand everything you tell us... 🥰 your explanation is perfect!!❤️
Love this idea for keeping things organized. I think, I'm going to make a few books, one with every holiday to fill with cards for when unexpected guests arrive and one for each person in my family to put Birthday, anniversary and holiday cards in. This way I can create them ahead of time when the urge strikes me and when the holiday comes around I just sign the card and put in the mail. The possibilities are endless. The Ephemera books would also make a great gift for your paper crafting friends. Confusing? You couldn't be any clearer. Your explanations make everything so easy and you never make anyone feel dumb. This is why you inspire me not only as an artist but as a teacher and creator! Thanks for the great ideas.
Another gem! My Mom left me beautiful batik sarong materials from Indonesia. I will be using that fabric to make my own envelope book....just got an envelope maker too and I love that little tool! Thank you for always inspiring me (and everyone else). You are always a ray of sunshine and inspiration. You are very appreciated. Thank you Natasha.
Oh I'm so glad, thank you Josie!! Please note the CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
Another perfectly explained video! I was thinking, it could be fun to use it as an organizer for a planner....for the year. Each envelope filled with decorating items for a particular month. Like November is Thanksgiving, December is Christmas and so on. Each can hold stickers, washi samples on a card, tiny gems, bits of trims like ric-rac, hearts, etc. When your month is coming up, take a few minutes, pull those items from the corresponding month, and have a play! Ohmygosh....my wheels are turning!! Lol Thanks for being such a GREAT teacher, Natasa! Big hugs 💖 Suzy
Thank You so much, you bring joy to myself and girls....I have daughters who could care less but want me to make them one....my daughter- in law and her grand daughter and my grand daughter love them. It skip a generation don't know why ....Thank You again
What a great tutorial! Not one drop of wasted time. Your voice is clear and easy to understand, photography spot on, directions excellent. I'm so glad I found you.
Good idea to put the fabric on the inside of the spine, slightly overlapping back and front pages. I would have missed that step. It has never occurred to me to use my sewing machine for a project such as this; you are brilliant!
Natasha, I cannot thank you enough for all you do explaining step by step and having the written instructions for us. I love these envelope journals. thank you again. :)
I love it Natasa. And I love you too, I hope you and your family are doing well and I send prayers out every day for all of us in all nations of the world. For these are hard times for many many nations.
I stumbled across your video, not even seen one of these journals before but was mesmerised from the outset. Your presentation is precise, and calm. I love the way you point out the pitfalls like the bulky corners and show us how to deal with all the bits that can go wrong. So so good, that I’m inspired to have a go. Thank you. Your journals are stunning and invoke a feeling of excitement to look inside. Something to put on the coffee table for all to admire. 💗
you are incredibly inspirational. Have done already the one with the junk envelopes. Turned out very well. This one will be my next project. Just have to gather materials. You are explaining and showing in an easy understandable way without any useless chatting and last but not least no annoying back ground music. Well done!
I think this was suggested to me because I've been researching the cash envelope budgeting method in prep to receive my tax return, but WOW. I want 10. Saving this video for later because I can think of so many uses and looks and sizes lol but I would also like to say that I read the comments, and this is one of the nicest communities I've ever seen! Everyone's words are so kind. What a happy corner of the internet, thank you ❤️
I love the idea of storing ephemera in the envelopes so I made 3 books over this past weekend. I love them. One is all Christmas fussy cuts, one is all floral and the third is Tim Holtz "stuff"! Thanks so much for the great idea.
I've been following this tutorial for the last few weeks and finally got to binding the envelopes in! The template was extremely helpful. I'm going to use this to store ephemera and such
This popped up in my suggested videos just as I was wondering how I was going to organise all my little stickers. Perfect! I'm using the pages from an outdated road atlas to make the envelopes.
That would be great to make to put bits and pieces for a road trip in to make a photo/scrapbook journal as you travel - stickers, papers, ephemera, etc. to decorate pages of a separate journal. I need to find an old atlas to use. Great idea.
I like the idea of having an envelope for every month of the year to collect random things in. But I also like them as a space to hold ephemera to take things out! Very well done!
Natasha - love this journal and your precise demonstration. Non-related to the content though, RUclips put an ad every three minutes or so. I don't know if you have any control over this, but the ads sure are aggravating. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
Ah ok. I don't have any control over the amount of ads put on a video unfortunately. I could turn them off alltogether, but then I won't get the little bit of $$$ that I get from ads :( I know its annoying, but I put many many hours into making videos
Thank you so much Linda!! Please note the CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I L❤️VED the Video. FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS The “we r memory keepers” envelope maker is a MUST HAVE for any crafter. It is one of my MOST USED TOOLS. I think they are pretty inexpensive as well. I have the one with an EXTENDED ARM for 12 by12 paper. It works amazingly well. It’s the 123 punch board. Thank you for your tutorial. I have seen a few cereal box JOURNAL ideas. Yours is now my new FAVORITE. 😍
This would be amazing for a monthly financial plan for a family, where each envelope is for a separate expense field. Say one envelope is for gas, one for groceries, one for rent .. etc. And you can plan everything and divide your income so you have some structure for how you spend your money.
I remember my Mom saying she would do that using baby food jars back in the 40’s. This would be so much prettier and fun. Although she was probably dividing up coins instead of bills.
Yes I was think8ng this is a fun sinking funds binder for people who do cash stuffing.. i am thinking of making one for myself. I have all the supplies!
I think making these type of Journals is a great way to also use up scrap pieces of various sizes to put inside the envelopes, thank you for your inspiring video 🐝💐
Thank you so much for this idea. I actually made two books for myself after I saw the first video. She's absolutely right when she says to leave the envelopes open so you can bind them! I managed to bind one after closing the envelopes but it was very difficult with messy needle marks and poked fingers. I had to create a separate spine from my cover and glued it into a new cover after the sewing was done. Not easy. I use one book to hold ephemera and one to hold my stickers. They sit perfectly on my crafting cart and are so pretty, easy to grab with everything organized!
I really didn't care for junk journals and wasn't interested in making them until I happened upon your tutorial. Absolutely gorgeous. You have inspired me to do this. I especially loved the paper for your envelopes. Bravo, excellent crafting.
I loved this tutorial. The fabric is so beautiful. The pockets look like leather, beautiful paper. So creative I think of so many uses it can have. Thank you so much for sharing.
I appreciate both hearing the directions and seeing the steps printed out. Lovely fabric that you used, cool process. I need to read comments below to see what people actually do with these books, how to use them.
I am not a native English speaker, and it can be a challenge for an instructor to be clear. You speak clearly and it helps a lot that you have written instructions next to you. So I agree with a previous comment. You are the best.
I love this idea. I have that punch board and never use it. Now I know what I can use it for. I think I'll make envelopes and die cut rectangles out of the front of the envelope and then glue vellum to the inside so you can see through to what is inside. I think I'll try it with less signatures. Although your chunky book is so awesome. You are hands down the best tutorial channel on YT. Your written instructions alone are so incredibly helpful. And you are so precise and to the point. I like that you keep on topic and don't ramble on about stuff that has nothing to do with the project. It's a rainy cold day here and I'm alone as my boyfriend is at his house getting over a sickness. So I'm binge watching your channel today and getting so incredibly inspired.
Something to think about with a vellum window, there might be edges of the vellum to catch on whatever you're taking in and out of the envelope. I like your idea a lot and will make a couple that way but I will "waste" some vellum and make the vellum the same size as the side of the envelope the window is on. That way I won't rip a delicate die-cut removing it from the envelope and having it catch on the bottom of the window.
I'm going to make these as Christmas gifts for crafty friends! I don't know if someone else has mentioned this, but you can improve results, prevent errors with the envelope punch if you actually measure on the two opposing sides. (I got this from a video on the use of the punch.) So instead of just rotating on the basis of one measurement, you flip a full 180 degrees, measure on the other side and then use both scored lines as the guides for the remaining sides. This is pretty much goof-proof, whereas rotating 90 degrees and lining up the score lines on 3 sides can amplify a small error due to simple angle of vision distortion. I had a lot of useless mess envelopes before I tripped over this advice.
Not only is this is a great storage idea, it's also so beautifully made, I love everything about it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this tutorial, you explained everything so well that I believe I can do this. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.
What a Beauty, Ms. Natasa. Love your style! Just would like to say that you make the best crafting tutorials on RUclips...very thorough step by step instructions that are easy to follow along with. The written instructions are an added bonus! (And you do not have your pets wandering over your workspace LOL.) Many thanks!
Hehe Thanks so much 😊 Please note the CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I love the way you make the holes in the spine first! It looks so much easier and precise than the way I've been doing it (poking through both signature and spine at the same time). I have a journal ready to sew, and guess which way I'm going to do it! I Love your tutorials--they are so clear that I can watch it through once, taking notes, then watch again actually making what you are demonstrating.
Natasa, your videos are the best! The way you explain... it seems that I can really do that! Thank you so much! I loved this project and I think I will try it! 😍
I'm so glad! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I watch all of your videos!!! I have learned so much and have been so Inspired by you. Thank you for taking the time to teach us. You are a part of my life every week. God Bless You!
Glad it was helpful! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
Beautiful. This looks like a fun project for a day I am feeling really brave and adventurous. 12 rows 😬😬😬 I do like the template, thank you so much for sharing how to do that!
Thanks for watching!! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
You have the best videos on RUclips. (And I've watch a ton!). Thanks for doing these and sharing. This retired senior citizen needs arty inspiration and you provide it in spades. Plus this keeps me sane! Lol
Thankyou. This is the first bookbinding project that I have done. Brilliant tutorial for a complete beginner and it turns out well. I made one of these for a friend who is having a baby soon. I did twelve envelope signatures - one for each month of the first year of her baby's life. It turned out really well. TWEAKS: I stuck some Unryu rice paper onto the covering fabric to give it some strength and made it easier to manipulate and glue down. I reinforced the inside of the bottom of each envelope with a strip of sellotape - just to give it a bit of strength for the stiching. I put corner brackets on to just finish the cover off. I pricked each hole on both sides of the spine with a sharp bookbinding bodkin. I did a test strip of the book cloth and card with the sewing machine to ensure that I had the correct tension and stitch size. I hand turned the machine through the reinforced spine sections as they were much thicker. MISTAKES: I had the outside of the cereal packet on the outside of the book - amateur error. Even having made bookcloth I could see the picture through the fabric and paper but it's not too bad really. I found it difficult to make a set of identically sized envelopes but actually - in the final outcome that doesn't really notice. It was a fiddle to get the envelopes stitched in correctly to start with and I did a couple the wrong way round so I had to pay attention to which way round and which way up the envelopes were.
Loved watching your video!! You put so much work into these journals, and they came out so beautiful! I love the colors that you used! You are such an informative teacher. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
I love your journal. It's awesome. I've used both paper and fabric to cover the inside of spines on the journals I've made. I can see why you use fabric as it's more durable. I also like the neatness of your corners and the way you keep them flat.
Thank you so much! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
Have fun! Please note the CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I absolutely LOVE that you show little mistakes and potential issues as you go and how to correct them.. the "perfect" videos are not reality.. and well done on this.. I am in love with that fabric 😍
This is FANTASTIC--what beautiful beautiful books--I cannot wait to make a few. I have to say how much I appreciate your honesty and pointing out things like tools are magic bullets and just how long these things take: "So you don't feel like everyone else can do these things faster than I can"...that's SO true. Most of the vids make it look so easy--we often feel like we should be able to just sit down and whip up one of these projects in a half hour or so. You're always so considerate of your audience and that's terrific 🤗😎
That's so very true!! I often get comments like: "I wish I can make a journal as fast as you". Ummm, I can't actually make a journal fast. It takes me as long as it does anyone else! By the way, Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
GREAT tutorial! I love this project! It would be fun to put photos of different trips or events in them too! It's very versatile! You are so meticulous! I want to try this but I'm not sure that I will get the same perfect look! LOL
Thank you so much Rhonda :) Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
This is my first time running into your page and I absolutely love your journal above!!! It gives me so many ideas like for bills, receipts, shopping lists for my projects, etc. Thank you for this and, of course, I subscribed :D
LOL, I'm thinking just the opposite. It's a great way to use up the oh-so-pretty paper that I can't bear to use 'cause I'll never see it again. I'm going to use my prettiest papers so I can see them every time I use my ephemera stash!
I never written any comments on what i see. I was VERY impressed on how detail you are. Thank you cause you have made the video enjoyable and so easy to see and how to do a envelope book. I was so very impressed. Thank you!
Hi Natasha. I have made one of these journals! With minimal swearing, which is amazing for me as I usually tie myself in knots. Your instructions are refreshingly clear and I am inspired now to attempt another of your projects. Thank you.
Thanks for the envelope refresher. I’m making an album at the moment and I wanted to make a clear envelope but I’d forgotten how 😂😂 it’s been a while since I got my envelope board out.
Aloha Natasha! I follow quite a few channels that show creative paper, ephemera, and journal-making, but I must say this: you are by far the most creative! I ♥️love♥️ your videos and the inspiration they provide. Thank you so much!
I mean just wow! Your work always looks perfect in the end. How do you come up with these different ideas? They are amazing and so different from everyone else.
What a beautiful piece of work! I'm a professional bookbinder from Germany and I'm totally flashed by this idea and the way you did it. Thanks a lot for the inspiration and tutorial!!!

I didn't really catch what you did when you said you were inking the edges of the inside cover paper. Could you flesh that out a bit? Thanks!
I love your neatness, beautifull cover material also the lace you put into the envelope. Thank you very much.
I’m loving your videos! Thank you for sharing.
From all crafters, you are the one who explain it best!!! Detailed AND understandable! Thank you! 🤗

Yep!!! What Stella said!!!
I agree! One of my favorite designers to learn from & be inspired by!

Lol
Thanks for being such a GREAT teacher, Natasa! Big hugs 💖 Suzy
That is such an amazing idea, I love it Suzy!!
This is genuinely the best tutorial for anything I have ever come across. Super easy to follow and looks really fun! I can’t wait to try
Awesome! Thank you!
I agree with Beck! Bravo! So well done!
Thank you so much Kathy :)
Good idea to put the fabric on the inside of the spine, slightly overlapping back and front pages. I would have missed that step. It has never occurred to me to use my sewing machine for a project such as this; you are brilliant!
Love how you write the steps. Make it so easy to follow.
Thanks so much 😊
Natasha, I cannot thank you enough for all you do explaining step by step and having the written instructions for us. I love these envelope journals. thank you again. :)
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much!
Absolutely gorgeous. I love that they are not over-decorated: really stylish. Thank you 😊
I love it Natasa. And I love you too, I hope you and your family are doing well and I send prayers out every day for all of us in all nations of the world. For these are hard times for many many nations.
Thank you so much! We are in lock down again over here :(
I stumbled across your video, not even seen one of these journals before but was mesmerised from the outset. 💗
Thank you so much! Means a lot :)
you are incredibly inspirational.
What a happy corner of the internet, thank you ❤️
Thank you so much Bella!! This is an awesome community! Thanks for watching :)
Your tutorials are never confusing - my best crafting efforts have all been from your videos. Thank you for yet another fantastic project ❤
You are so good at explaining.....you are a great teacher!!!! I love all you did!!!! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!!!!
Thank you so much!
Completely agree! I love that you are detail oriented, taking pride in your work
Agree! I’m attempting to make one this weekend for a gift! What a beautiful way to spend the weekend making something beautiful and simplistic!
You are so generous and Thank you for your beautiful way of teaching, very meticulous, and complete. Keep up ☝with the good work.
Thank you so much!
I love the idea of storing ephemera in the envelopes so I made 3 books over this past weekend. I love them. One is all Christmas
fussy cuts, one is all floral and the third is Tim Holtz "stuff"! Thanks so much for the great idea.
Wonderful! I'm so glad you made some!
I'm so glad! Perfect timing :)
That would be great to make to put bits and pieces for a road trip in to make a photo/scrapbook journal as you travel - stickers, papers, ephemera, etc. to decorate pages of a separate journal. I need to find an old atlas to use. Great idea.
WOW!!! This shows your passion, patience, dedication and creativity, those journals are beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing!🙏🏻😊
These are some of the most beautiful handmade journals I have seen on RUclips! So colorful and designed and made with such precision! Great skills!
Thank you so much!
I look forward to making this for my mom. I have been wanting to make her a prayer card book. This will be perfect.
I like the idea of having an envelope for every month of the year to collect random things in. But I also like them as a space to hold ephemera to take things out! Very well done!
Going over this tutorial again, and again I got to say this storage Book is stunning. Love, love, love this fabric design and color.
Thank you again
Thank you so much!
Your storage books are absolutely beautiful. Your eye for detail is amazing. Thank you for showing us how you made them.
Thank you so much!
This is the best way, by far, I’ve seen regarding making a template. I’ve made it a lot harder than it really is. And I love this whole project.
Thank you so much Linda!! Please note the CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
I L❤️VED the Video.
FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS
The “we r memory keepers” envelope maker is a MUST HAVE for any crafter.
Thank you so much :)
This would be amazing for a monthly financial plan for a family, where each envelope is for a separate expense field. Say one envelope is for gas, one for groceries, one for rent .. etc.
And you can plan everything and divide your income so you have some structure for how you spend your money.
Great idea! Awesome!
I remember my Mom saying she would do that using baby food jars back in the 40’s. This would be so much prettier and fun. Although she was probably dividing up coins instead of bills.
What a good idea 💡
Love this idea!
I love it!! Thanks for watching :)
I really didn't care for junk journals and wasn't interested in making them until I happened upon your tutorial. Absolutely gorgeous. You have inspired me to do this. I especially loved the paper for your envelopes. Bravo, excellent crafting.
I'm so glad :) Thank you
I loved this tutorial.
Thank you so much :)
This is an amazing storage idea. Well taught. I may add a motif glued on one half at the tip of each envelope flap in order to tuck in and close it.
That's a great idea!
Thank you so much Melissa!!!
Thank you for telling me this, I had no idea!!
Not only is this is a great storage idea, it's also so beautifully made, I love everything about it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this tutorial, you explained everything so well that I believe I can do this. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.
Thank you so much! Of course you can do this :) Have fun
But, I like pets roaming around!
@@TreasureBooks Yes, thank you!
@@lili721 Aren't pets great! I love them also!
I have like 10 sewing patterns that dont have a "storage" home... This would be a great storage idea for them.. Thanks for sharing!! 🤓🤓🤓
Thanks for watching!
These would be great for vacation memorabilia. Photos. Tickets. Maps. I really love these.
Thank you so much :)
So glad that I found your video. This is amazing and your instructions are so clear. Thank You!!
Glad it was helpful! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
Grandma had a block of wood and hammer to flatten thick seams n it works like a charm on the thick corners❤
Thank you for a wonderful video❤
Lol
Oh my goodness I'm in Love! I sell journals on Esty as well and your journals just give me so much inspiration and easier techniques. Thank you!
I'm so glad! Thank you :)
Well done!!!! We learn the most from our mistakes!!
Loved watching your video!! You put so much work into these journals, and they came out so beautiful! I love the colors that you used! You are such an informative teacher. Thank you for sharing. God bless!
Thank you so much!
I love your journal. It's awesome.
I've used both paper and fabric to cover the inside of spines on the journals I've made. I can see why you use fabric as it's more durable.
I also like the neatness of your corners and the way you keep them flat.
Great tutorial, you are a very good teacher, you were very thorough. Beautiful. Thank you xx😁❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Please note CORRECTION!!! - ( STEP 10) - If the width of the spine is to have 12 rows of holes, there will be 13 spaces so width should be divided by 13 not 12.
Какая прекрасная работа. Очень вдохновляет.
Приятно смотреть как работает мастер. Все просто на высшем пилотаже.
Thank you so much Anna!!!
Your such a good teacher thank you ❣️
Thank you Tammy :)
Thank you for sharing this idea. Not only is it beautiful, it is very practical, too. You are a great teacher!
Thank you so much ❤️
Natasa!! What a beautiful book and an amazing tutorial! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
Great teacher. Wow a lot of work but just fabulous. I see why it's easier to use handmade envelopes
That was so enjoyable to watch! Thank you! Inspiring and delightful, loved it!
So glad! Thank you :)
Je ne me lasse pas de regarder ce tuto que je trouve magnifique la réalisation. Un grand bravo 👍😘
Beautiful as always! Thanks for doing a tutorial on this. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Thank you so much!
You have me saving cereal boxes and that's exactly how I put my covers on aswell natasa , thank you alanna
Awesome!! Thanks for watching :)
@@TreasureBooks please note my own correction to my comment: "...tools AREN'T magic bullets" lol. Thanks again!
Fantastic explanation of how to create this beautiful bound envelope book. Thank you for sharing your knowledge ❤
This is my first time running into your page and I absolutely love your journal above!!! It gives me so many ideas like for bills, receipts, shopping lists for my projects, etc. Thank you for this and, of course, I subscribed :D
Thank you so much!
you are my most favorite artist of all... and, I have very many that I admire. You are so creative and so tidy!! thank you for your many posts!
Thanks so much 😊 I appreciate you :)
This is a Super way to use up that ugly paper we all have. Love this.
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much :)
What a great idea!!!! Thank you so very much for this amazing tutorial: everything is perfectly explained!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Ohh the envelope board is getting dusted and loved again hehe, have fun :) Thanks for watching :)
Aloha Natasha! I follow quite a few channels that show creative paper, ephemera, and journal-making, but I must say this: you are by far the most creative! I ♥️love♥️ your videos and the inspiration they provide. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much 😊
I mean just wow! Your work always looks perfect in the end. How do you come up with these different ideas? They are amazing and so different from everyone else.
Thank you so much Jacqueline! Not sure how I come up with ideas, but I have so many ideas, and so little time :)
What a beautiful piece of work! I'm a professional bookbinder from Germany and I'm totally flashed by this idea and the way you did it. Thanks a lot for the inspiration and tutorial!!!
Oh wow, what a compliment. Thank you!
I have that same batik! It's on my couch though (hiding some wear and tear), not on a journal LOL
Me too, it’s the lining of a homemade sleeping bag 🙂
You do beautiful work. I like your preciseness and your instructions are very clear. One can always watch the video again if they need to.
Thank you so much!
