One of the most unknown/unused firearms in the industry: Arex. My Zero 1 Compact and Delta are solid and dependable, both good traits in could be "fighting" pistols. I *still* have to get my hands on an Alpha, I friggin love that gun!!!
Nah bro, I would say the grand power handguns are the most unknown/underrated. I mean, hell, if graham didn’t have his videos covering grand powers, no one would even get the chance to see how legit they are, or even know they even existed for that matter.
I just bought that same model a few weeks ago, new, all black, for just under $550 out the door…I carry a Sig P226 for work…gotta be honest, I prefer the Arex. It’s a great gun.

Built my duty belt load out around the original Zero 1s. Running a hogue ars holster and trijicon night sights on it and my buddies are in awe of it. Love these. So much so I got the TC version but found out the stock suppressor height sights are way too tall for my holster. Curious whether the zero2 will fit the hogue ars holster or not though. It's a trigger guard lock not a chamber cut like safarilands. Either way, love that this original run is still getting some attention.
I think I would prefer the grip of the Zero 2, but a good enough deal on one of these would be tempting. They did shorten those gloriously long frame rails on the 2, but they claim the performance is as good or better, though.
I've heard some iffy things about the 999's reliaility and machine work. Just want your opininon bc i'm considering one but the price has increased, so I may splash out on an Arex instead.
Graham, since you are basically the biggest grand-power enthousiast i know of i had been wanting to ask if you happen to know about the X-calibur gold edition? the local importer of GP here has one that came from the factory with a gold slide that has been sitting there for lord knows how long (i assume most people aren't interested in something with that much bling)
3:39 so is it a norm that it's hard to do press checks on DA/SA guns when the hammer is down? I played with a DA/SA in a shop the other day and it just seems impossible to press check it with the hammer in the way Also, now that you have this, it would make a great comparison for when the Zero 2 T/TC comes out
I sure think this one evolved directly from the Daewoo DP51 from around 1990! Surely the frame is almost identical except for the new under-rail? That Daewoo is the gun that I regret losing!............................elsullo

I'm a big fan of you guys, but isn't time to mention , in the reviews, that a lot of the guns you review cannot be purchased by over 25% of the country ? Isn't your state one with a 10 round mag limit now too ? I get interested in a gun you review, only to find out I cannot buy it anywhere . And these damn companys refuse to make 10 round versions an option. How are you able to get banned guns to review ? It's only going to get worse. Whens the next live feed ?
We link to vendors int he articles when we can. We were able to get this one (and the next month or two's worth of videos) in before 114 was passed. It's still in the courts, and we're optimistic someone will smack the state with the Constitution, if not we'll have to move.
@@GBGuns The Oregon Constitution from 1846 is even MORE insistent on firearm freedoms than the US Constitution Second Amendment is! ANY firearm infringement is prohibited, but none have been challenged in State Court....................until now! The gun-banners might end up very sorry that they stimulated these court cases. THE 114 Measure is fully halted indefinitely until higher courts rule. Even Ruger will sell "prohibited" magazines in Oregon now, ha ha. I celebrated the passing of Measure 114 by buying a new pistol with two twenty-round magazines just before the measure was to take effect, KNOWING that I could keep it eventually.............................elsullo

You're right, in the hundred plus years of the cartridge, it has become both a military and civilian standard for most of the world for multiple reasons. Just can't escape the round!
@@GBGuns I get its popularity but every gun company comes out with a "new" gun and its the same old same old is only thing I was saying. Need more innovation, would be cool to see some new bullet tech that actually performs

That's a nice-looking pistol. Like that it has a manual safety that operates like a 1911 and HK USP for C&L.

10 years ago the 999s and 99s were awesome. Today you're much better off with the Arex.

It can be. Always easier to cock it first otherwise you're pressing against the mainspring.

Bud's Gun Shop sells them all for pretty low prices compared to elsewhere (Zero 1, Zero 1 Compact, Delta, and the Z1C Tactical).
