I have health issues myself (blah blah blah). I tried yoga a few years ago and it’s my jam. I start my day with a pain pill, some caffeine and the warrior poses. Something that I tell myself when I jump on the scale is that I dont take the number to seriously, because im not trying to lose WEIGHT im trying to lose FAT. Supplements are not inherently evil. We’d like a “food first” approach but that’s not always practical for whatever reason. Consult with your doctor if you’re thinking about supplements. He was hungry as fuck, but he was never eating junk food. He'd eat a lot of calories, but he would burn them all by working out. Obviously this took something like 3 years, but the point is that hunger can be justified. When you find yourself eating A LOT, but not junk food, simply work out like a beast after 3-4 hours. Don't deny it, justify it.

This is stupid, if you eat too much you’re gonna raise your bodyfat%, and then later in life, if you’ll wanna get shredded, you’ll need to burn all of that fat, which is hard. The best thing you should do is to put on some muscle. Start calisthenics, and since you have a really good bodyfat, muscles are gonna pop like a swole prison dude. Don’t put fat to get to the desired weight, put muscle and stay healthy. Also, the BMI is not that big of a deal, bodybuilders are considered obese... yeah right with a 5% bodyfat 🤦‍♂️

The difference is that now I simply do not consume as many calorie-rich foods as in the past. And for me, I try never to have my second meal, which is dinner, after 7pm.

This brought up something I hadn't thought of before. I moved to Germany about two years ago and have been feeling introverted, depressed and generally unmotivated all the time (along with random aches in different areas of my body). I come from Bosnia where it's relatively cold in the winters (We were from a very mountainous area) and sunny almost all summer, here it rains about 90% of the time. In the first year it was mostly because of home sickness and such. However my diet and frequency of leaving my house has also significantly changed since I moved here. We used to grow our own fruits and vegetables, I've also noticed that store bought apples here cause my throat to swell and face to itch. I've put on approx. 20kg since I moved here (Which was not completely bad because for my build at 70kg I looked relatively sick.). Moving to a different country comes with lots of ups and downs, the food is different, the air is different, climate is different, etc etc. We are built for where we come from, I've always had massive muscular thighs without training, because I'm from a mountainous area where we had to climb hills all the time and the fact that I don't get that same workout/activity messes with me in multiple ways. So basically there can be multiple reasons for an unhealthy attitude and lifestyle, an unhealthy lifestyle for me could mean something completely different for you and vice versa, just depends what your body is used to and so.

He's right about what you eat. I do intermittent fasting so I don't eat after 12noon sometimes not even until 2pm and I workout on an empty stomach. I don't consider it starving myself and ppl think I have hunger pains when I don't. It's about discipline. I stopped eating beef, pork, and chicken, and started eating more fish like tilapia because it's cheaper to buy, low on fat, and has A LOT of protein. I also eat beans, fruits, vegetables, drink unsweetened vanilla almond milk, water, and clean protein shakes like Rivalus. Sometimes I'll start off eating a bowl of quaker old fashioned oats with cinnamon, dried cranberries, dried banana chips, dried papaya, walnuts, honey, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk, with 2 hard boiled eggs, and some Delmonte ruby red grapefruit slices and that'll be it for the day depending on if I want to eat one or two meals. I do intermittent fasting, lift heavy, do cardio at least 4 times a week, and I cut down eating so many meals. All these things combined with drinking water is key to reducing body fat, weight, and building muscle. This guy Hampton is the genuine article and definitely knows what he's talking about.

Yes, I totally agree with ur opinion about suplemen and diet (eating habit). Especially about balanced diet. You can eat everything you want as long is not too much and reduce everything that's not good for our body such as, junk food, refined sugar, instant noodles, etc. Just eat when you need to. At least 1-2meal per day, and you can still add snack (either the healty types or even chips) moderately.
What I'm saying is, try to find what's good for you and what's not. Our body is unique. It is not easy and need a lot of the trial and error phase. But once you have a grasp of it, it's so worth it. Just don't do anything that lead harm to your body such as eating disorder, excessive work out, not resting well, etc.

Hampton! I really like your attitude and approach. When it comes to food ... I recently started the whole30 diet/challenge. It was recommended by a chiropractor mainly to get the inflammation out of my body. Basically you it is NO sugar, alcohol, grain, legumes or peas, dairy.
Meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts ... I love the simplicity and started to feel better right away.

Talking about breaking habits this tip is how I quit smoking. I used to stop at the store for Gatorade or energy drinks and every time the cashier asked if there was anything else, even if I was quitting, I'd say smokes. I finally quit when I stopped going to the store before/after work

The whole thing about breakfast and skipping meals is very interesting imo and how cultural traditions are seen as universal truths but actually are not at all.
Our bodies have been mostly the same since we were hunter-gatherers ten thousand years ago. I can't really imagine that hunter-gatherers had three nice and boutiful meals a day haha. Our bodies are adapted to withstand decent amounts of time without food and our physiology has the tendency to - if we have a sudden abundance of food- to store as much fat and energy as possible for harsher times to come. Our modern way of living though, especially in first world countries, is to always have an abundancy in food and of course that's a good thing so people don't starve and stuff but our societies are not always so complementary with our physiology. It means that we can constantly eat and that our bodies will constantly store energy for later but the harsh time in which we would use that excess energy ergo fat never comes so we keep gaining weight.
And not to forget that the way we cultivate our soil is leading to degraded food with less nutrients than food cultivated in healthy soil rich in micro organisms which leads to the feeling of hunger more rapidly returning thus eating more calories to sustain our bodily functions.
I for one love breakfast because I almost always wake up hungry but then I sometimes don't eat lunch because I don't feel like I need it although these last few months I have slipped into bad habits again mostly due to stress and a lot of work for college and covid ofc. I kinda forgot where I was going with this comment but I wanted to share I guess
