I’m in the budding faze & I think it’s exciting! & yes because my hair would unravel, mainly in the front, I changed my wash routine to monthly & it works. I only my hair after I wash my hair that one time & when ever I need a refresher during the month, I would use my liquid leave in conditioner, no creams! I don’t get a lot of buildup & this method keeps my locs less crazy in the roots. It does get frizzy but not too much where I’m like “wth am I gunna do with my hair today!” Glad I switched over to this routine!
Awww I’m glad you found a routine and it’s working for you! 😊
For those of you watching this video my prayer is that you ALL come to know JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH as your LORD AND SAVIOR. ROMANS 10:9 say that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that GOD raised JESUS from the dead we will be saved.
Patience, patience and that's period and thanks for this info girl
You’re welcome 🙌🏾💕
I feel like people are trying to get past the ugly stage but I feel like having a loctition that puts your hair in a protective braid like style helps, I also think it would have been better for me to start with shorter hair to avoid that stage before my hair was passed my ears.
Ohh yeah I totally agree . But either way it’s fine
Your hair looks SO cute like this! You’re just gorgeous 🥰
Awww thank you! 💕
Thank you for sharing. Your locs ate beautiful...im 2 1/2 months. I'm getting my first retwist today. I'm really excited about getting my first style
Awww congratulations!! I’m happy for you! 😊
I always enjoy watching your channel even though I don't have locs . Great video
Awww thank youu Georgia! 🥰🥰
I would have thought my hair would have locd faster than what it has. It’s been about 5 months now and I’m getting through it!
Everyone hair don’t loc the same time some people might take longer depending on your hair type . Also 5 months is still starter locs so I wouldn’t expect the hair to be fully loc’d already ..
Matured locs❤️! Lol 😂! I have baby locs, enjoyed this video 🤗! Thanks for sharing 👍🏿!
I’m glad you did and I hope your enjoying your starter phase 😊
@@Chynax_M I’m trying my best, really hope they thicken up to how I want 🙏🏿!
Hopefully in time they do 🤞🏾
2 months in, I'm just budding like crazy hair is just whew 🤣 but I don't mind the look
Let it do what it doooo lol. Glad your enjoying your journey 🥰
Four weeks and mine is budding like crazy and I just started. I’m glad I made this decision
Great video as always and when I first locs started a long time ago I was told lemon juice helps loc your hair faster all that did was made my locs smell lemony I don’t even think that’s a word .
“Matured Locs”
Ohh wow lol I never heard of that one before 😂
I love the stumming ❤
And you are right, everyone who are just starting locs have to wait until there hair forms into locking cause I done had mines for five months and mines locking like crazy October will be six months for me I do my own locs
That’s great! And it’s a process you have to be patient 😊
That's right,if people that are growing locs shall be patient and they will get good results of their hair locking and growing at the same time patients are everything of having locs💪👀👊✌
Yes! I totally agree 😊
Our journey of locking 😉
Love you locs! How long have you been loc'd?
Thank you and 3 years and 11 months
Hey Gorgeous! You really Need To Make A Glam Tutorial Video 😍😍😍 Always Looking Poppin 😩😩
Awww thank you 🥰🥰🥰
The complete locking phase can take up to 4yrs for your hair to go through each step…
Wash and retwist your hair every 2 weeks.
This will train your hair….
If you plan to do your own wash and retwist Lemon Fluff Shampoo by Gabel’s is the best shampoo to remove buildup..
Moisturize your hair by using “The Loc Method”, which is layering oils such as jojoba oil, caster oil, neem oil etc..
If you need a little more moisturizer for your scalp, I use Virgin Hair Fertilizer.
Thank you did the info! 🙌🏾
Is it safe to retwist every 2 weeks ? I’ve heard that can cause thinning but I feel like if you be gentle & use a natural gel to retwist it would be fine.
If you want to you can do it every 2 weeks . See if it works for you. I cannot tell you not to do it because there are people who retwist every 2 weeks. I just wouldn’t because I don’t have the time and energy lol .
Just listen to your hair and make sure it your doing it every 2 weeks over time it’s not thinning out .
Great video and information.
Thank you 😊
Beautiful locs! How long have you been 🔐?
Thank you and 3 years and 11 months
Hey Chyna can you do a topic on the way locs form. I am 5 months loc and I feel that my locs form from my new grow. The definition of the two strand twists are still there. Or is it something in my routine
Your hair locs from the root down. So you will have the “two strand look” for some time. Unless you interloc it. I follow a young lady on you-tube. Her name is Kennedy. She started hers with two-strand. She is 11 months in. You may want to follow her as well, to get an idea.
What do you mean by locking from roots down… I don’t think Locs lock from the roots, hence why we always have the gap from our roots and the locked part . I think it looks down to up. As the hair grow (new growth ) it locks up … I hope it makes sense lol. It’s something I have to show lol. That’s just what I think lol
@@Chynax_M It does, that’s why I’m like wait! Let me correct it! Lol 😂🤦🏽♀️ not at the root, but up near the root. I asked my mom, who is a beautician and does locs, why my locs stayed curly at the end, but locing at the top…that’s how she explained it to me. Your ends are the last to loc. My mom does a lot of interlocking of the ends because no one wants to go through the process of “waiting” till their ends loc.
Ohh Yeahh lol I see what you mean . But yes it makes sense . I think the reason why my ends are so sealed is before I had cut out my perm ends once they reached a month and I palm rolled them after cutting the straight part and I think that’s why they are so matured.
@@Chynax_M Yes! I have seen people palm roll all the way down. My mom doesn’t, unless the client ask. I was wondering how your ends were so sealed and clean. I chalked it up to maturity. I am 2 years in, and it took a year and a half for my ends to really start locing due to my texture. But even then, my very tips are still curly. I love your locs and can’t wait till mine get that long 😍 I’m over here like, when can I start brushing 🤔 lol
I'm still at 5 months and my hair still won't lock so I'm just chilling or whatever and my ends don't even get me started on the ends just the worst whenever I wash my hair they literally unravel 🤣 so I have to do it all over again 🤣I'm not giving up
Ohh your still in the starter phase . Depending on how you start your Locs and your hair texture it can take years for your Locs to fully lock and mature . You just have to go with the flow of things and it will lock on its own terms lol.
I hate unraveling. The front of my hair keeps unraveling. Any suggestions on how to stop it?
@@NapturallyFlyy wash your hair with a stocking cap on!!!!
You’re so pretty Sis
Thank you so much! ❤️
You should definitely use conditioner!!!!!!!! #liscencedcosmetologist/instructor
Matured locs.
Thank you for watching 🥰
U so awesome ❤
Thank you!
matured locs
How long do it take for your locs to drop I been loc now 2 months
What do you mean by “drop” ?
Yeah if that’s what your asking then i cannot answer that for you lol as it’s different for everyone .
What method did you use and what type of locs are they?
Are you talking about my locs ?
She said she did comb coils that’s the method. Her hair has matured so it’s not going to look the same starting out
Matured Locs
Thank you for watching 🥰
How long it been 4 years?
Almost . 3 years 11 months
@@Chynax_M I figure that I’m on 4 years 4 months
Ohh nice!! Can’t wait to see how much more my hair grows in the next few months 😊
@@Chynax_M the real question is how far you would let them grow or would yu keep them at mid back? Idk yet for me might just let mines do their thing and grow
Not sure yet. For now I’m just letting them do whatever
Hi Chyna! I'm almost 8 months into my journey and my twist pattern is VERY visible. Like it's barely fuzzy ( I have 4c hair) and most people think I just have old two strands twists... My hair started to lock towards the root tho. Any tips please?
have you washed your hair at all ?
@@Sami-vw5iz Of course! At least once a month, then I retwist.
