@@darkspeed62 naa it's still amazing. I support his choice in doing that, because it's hard being a video creator, and that was the perfect time to let people know that you're on other social platforms.
Kinda dangerous on how close he got to here with the heli. One wrong move or mechanical failure and you would have a haircut that you may not like for the rest of your life. Still awesome though.
A drone would have been 100X better if they had one. It's very hard to enjoy and appreciate skating in a completely immersed way when you've got a helicopter hovering around you, getting so close to you.
Fantastic! The skater was great, the film editing was spot on, and the pilot did an exemplary job as well. A really BIG thanks for sharing this with us all.
The lake showcased in this video is on the north side of Vicker's Peak. It would be quite a challenge getting out there The coordinates are N 49° 35' 48" W 122° 31' 23". You can tell this is the correct spot from the distinct shape of lake he flies towards near the end at 3:15
This is literally one of the most spectacular videos I've ever seen in my life. I have got to visit this part of the world one day. Brad, keep up the amazing work!!
this is my absolute dream! i’m a figure skater in freestyle 7 and i’ve always wanted to skate up in the mountains on a lake! it’s seems so free and beautiful! there’s so much space and you can do whatever you want! not only that but seeing the mountains surrounding you is just so surreal (even though i’ve never experienced it). ughh i’m so happy you got to have this experience!
Without a doubt one of the best if not the best videos you have put together. You really had an impact on someone, and I can relate to that feeling, form when I used to expore the Welsh mountains! Good on you! more like this!
Casey sent me. Thank you Casey. I cannot find the right words to describe how I felt watching this. Freedom. Heaven. Beautiful and blissful. Lucky woman to gracefully fly on the ice. Wow.
Simply amazing! Stunning! Glorious! Beautiful! Breathtaking I'm running out of adjectives. Awesome job Brad. Louis sent me over. You've got yourself a new sub.
Какая природа какие виды!!!!!!!!!! Просто фантастика, сказка, нереальная красота!!!!!!!Спасибо автору за то, что знакомит нас с такими местами на планете!!!
I have had dreams of skating in this environment! I am now 73 with a bad back but this was as close as I could get to my heaven! Thank you and the lovely skater. Oh to be able to do those backward crossovers at very high speed!
Bradley, you're definitely a class act for taking the time to reply in such a non-defensive way. Not typical of the world these days! I do love the business. I've gotten some dual in an R-44, soloed a Schweizer 300 and am now flying a really lovable old Bell 47 D-1 in Pennsylvania. When it comes to my bucket list, nothing gets in my way!
All your videos give a feel good vibe that make you want to do something in life! You're absolutely amazing man! Syndicate sent me here and I couldn't be more thankful for that
Unreal! This would be an unforgettable experience -- skating on a frozen, pristine alpine lake. Pond skating is awesome but this would be like skating in heaven.
Wow! Absolutely fabulous photography, gorgeous skating, and amazing flying in stunningly beautiful mountains! What more could anyone ask for? Congratulations on making an amazing video, and creating an incredible adventure!
OMG THIS IS SOOO AMAZING!!! I am a figure skater and I skate for the Winterettes and I do ISI and USFS but I have never seen as beautiful as this. I cried!
I have come over from Tom's channel and I am so glad I did, the quality of your videos are amazing - the time you take to make them perfect totally pays off!! you're going to be huge soon, I know it! Keep up the amazing work Brad!!
2:55 "I felt just so alive - it was the first time in a very long time that I felt that alive and that me". Everyone deserves to feel this. Life so often pulls us away from who we truly are and what we really want to do, be, or have. This is a huge motivator for me to go after my curiosity, what I find interesting and inspiring, and do it, and I hope this video and this message does the same for you. Thanks +Bradley Friesen, and the skater, and the musician.
absolutely breath taking. thax u so much for sharing this with the world... #grateful This small video clip somehow shows in a small glimpse how I push myself daily to break thru my comfort zone & boundries & do what I do to enjoy my advture & Journey in life. thax u again for posting this majestic clip 😙👍👍👍👍👍 (I've lost 56 lbs so far. another 54lbs to go & more determine than ever to b healthier & fit for my husband, kids & myself ❤)
I got here through syndicate and I am sticking around. This video really played my soft side. Have just seen your other most recent videos and I am stunned by the footage/audio combination. Keep up the good work, love the dog and I am looking forward to new content!
You are just a really cool ass guy brad. I hope I get to fly a helicopter accross the mountains of British Columbia and share it with the world. You're an inspiration to a lot of people. Thanks for making vids man!
Only those who do not appreciate aviation say this would have been better with a drone. It's any helicopter pilot's dream to freely go anywhere and fly like this. Drones give no sense of speed, or natural feeling of flight to the film. They move on a 3 dimensional axis and basically fly itself, the operator just tells it where to go. But helicopters (ones like this at least) are purely mechanical and tied directly to human input. Everything that is caught on film is exactly what the pilot is seeing as he climbs, dives, drifts and turns. It's a dance because it takes literally your entire body to pilot a helicopter as opposed to just your thumbs and a screen. To wrestle(more like finesse) a 1 ton flying machine within close proximity to a glacier to get (stable) footage of a figure skater as she expresses herself on the top of the world with scenic views takes nothing short of pure genius and absolute trust for each other. And I think that is the most beautiful part.
VERY COOL. New Sub for sure! Came here from Destin's smarter every day channel w/ the autorotation. I've never performed that myself but I've taken a few rides with my friend who's an instructor in Arizona and he did it a couple times to teach me. I understood the principles prior but very cool to be in the helo when it's performed. Anyways - beautiful footage. Can't wait to watch more of them. Cheers from San Francisco
The power of Tom (syndicate), seeing this and now wondering why you tube does not highlight this more. Thanks Brad for an amazing video and syndicate for telling us all to checkout your channel.
THIS IS AMAZING. I WANNA BE LIKE YOU BRADLEY. I wanna have an awesome job like yours when i finish college i wanna move to Canada. Your so underrated ever since i saw you fly with tom ive been watching your videos and each one of them are on point!!! Keep up the good work
I came to you when you have the original channel name. I admire you work and wish I could get clips as good as yours. Keep up the good work! Cause every shot/clip makes me smile every second!
Destin brought me here to your channel..That's some life of visuals you get to witness ..You have a lot of super crisp shots, Love that long passing run ..could have watched that for a longer period of time -So nice to see your idea and putting it into motion. ( I have a friend who does the crazy stuff off mountains, dropping outta copters and riding down the backside of mountains..and snow mobiles up the sides of cliffs. (He'll dig this..will pass it onto him :)
That ending shot! Fast acceleration right over the ice surface and then opening out into the valley - shiver inducing!
Would have been more impactful if the social media icons and stuff didnt appear at the same time

Man, that is an expensive drone
also known as a helicopter.
+GoGarr You keep using that word 'drone'. I dont think it means what you think it means.

You must have spent weeks searching for this lake on the maps.
@@vitaminb4869 If I recall it took me about an hour or so.
@@Q3020Q I wonder how m any more people have booked helicopter flights to that lake to skate since you identified the lake.
So glad Casey sent me here. That was stunning!
Outdid yourself on this one! Great story - very well captured. That's one lucky lady! A day on the ice she'll never forget!
