Hi from Indonesia! Thank you so much for showing us these picturesque parts of the earth. I would always love to see the aurora and feel the snow before I’m gone. Perhaps, could you share to us what cameras do you use?
I was born and lived most of my life in the Northern part of Russia. Your video made me cry. Our northern views are very similar to Swedish ones. Words cannot express how much I miss the white nights and the polar nights, the severe northern nature. I miss picking mushrooms and berries in the fall, and breaking birch branches with my grandmother in the summer for our Russian sauna. It always seemed to me that a human should be drawn to places where life is easier and sunnier, but I moved to Siberia and realized that I will forever remain a northern person. I hope to return there someday and definitely visit Sweden.❤

Jonna, I'm 70 years old. I'm watching my 93-year-old father fade away. My heart is breaking. Your relationship with our earth is so beautiful and was like a little bandaid for my heart tonight. Thank you. God bless you and your family and fur babies.
I wish you strength, peace and calm. Knowing that your father lived long and good life and that your love for him is one of the greatest gifts that I have no doubt he cherishes with all his heart.

As somebody who grew up as an only child in the middle of the countryside - far from other houses and people - it's incredibly lonely. Isolation can drive anybody crazy given enough time.
Here I am 3.5 years later, seeing this video again that first introduced me to your channel and that got me through one of the hardest winters of my life. I'm rewatching all your English vlogs from the beginning because they bring me so much inspiration and comfort. I am so grateful for you and your channel Jonna. Thank you so much for sharing your world and your life with us all. 💖

I don't think there is any other content anywhere that fills my heart like Jonna's. It's as if she takes the planet and describes it for us in words we could never express. Her stories never ever fail. They are honest, from her heart and soul and I love them all. Thank you Jonna for this gift. You are a blessing.

I was sitting on the couch playing spades listening to this and watching the video on and off when suddenly a tear fell down my face. It was my soul recognizing how much you are already in your soul living every moment. Your life is a work of art.
Even tho her life is beatiful, you can't say it's like fairytale nor it's easy, cuz she also got her problems and shit to do, but I gotta say that's the closest to magic it can get
I want to visit northern Sweden before I die. It's a beautiful land and for someone who has always lived in a tropical climate like me it must be a great experience.
Speaking as a Northerner.. Cold temperatures may seem cool but trust me... It's horrible!!! Snow may look peaceful but they don't tell you what comes with it.. Icy roads, traffic collision, can't walk the streets without freezing your nuts off.. There is a reason why we Scandinavians travel south during the winter.
"But the darkness makes us see what is never visible in the light. Because actually we do get sunlight. From a thousands of suns far, far away." Oh my god! I love your poetry 😭
@Lallu I know, it's a cute one. My job requires me to work extra hard outside in the cold winter months, where I actually function better than in high heat seasons. Theres' good reason Mexico requires ceasta, summer heat can be exhausting! But yes, she is correct, winter is indeed a time to chill, to also rest, regather and wait for SPRING! Yeah, spring.
I get so emotional watching this. My body and soul crave this kind of peace. I think this is how everyone was meant to live. Surrounded by nature taking care of the earth just as much as it takes care of us. It has just been ruined by people and society. This is truly living
@@Catlily5 probably builds the sunshine up in the summer to power thru that winter..........only one way to find out tho, youll have to move there and try it, let me know how it turns out :)
I came for the nordic laundry and found this little gem. Everything; soundtrack, voice over, images, 4 season pics its all phenomenal! I see the time and love you put in to this video. Thanks for sharing your frozen paradise!
As a brazilian I can only imagine how different life is in such weather conditions compared to the tropical climate of my country. I have never seem snow in my life. At the end of the day I can only praise God for the wisdom and diversity of his creation. May God bless Sweden
How WONDERFUL!!! I'm from Brazil, I was recently in Sweden for a walk, I was enchanted by what little I saw. Your video gave me insight into what I never had the opportunity to discover. I was born and live in a country with a tropical climate, and life here revolves around the Sun, light and heat in abundance, without severe cold. Truly, life is simpler and easier under these conditions. The north, as you describe it, requires determination and fiber from humans. All these adversities forge a strong, fearless soul. Your adaptability and strength blossom in the form of a beautiful love for your place. Your piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and with such stunning images, and in such a poetic and beautiful way. CONGRATULATIONS!
Why am I crying?! This has been so thought provoking and beautiful. I literally laid on the floor for the last hour contemplating what makes me happy and what I want in life. What a beautiful world you live in.
Jonna Thank you for sharing your Nordic Winter with us. It’s interesting how the change in the seasons urges our bodies and minds to let go of emotions that no longer serve us. I find winter to be a time of nesting and self exploration. Instead of making resolutions, I encourage revolution of my being. Sometimes reaffirming goals or creating a stronger commitment to self care. Much Love to you and you family Jonna during the Holidays and always.
Everyone says how the Internet is bad for us, but without it I would never know how beautiful different parts of the worlds are. Thank you for your beautiful story telling and filmmaking, Jonna ❤️
Yes it is beautiful and I am happy for the internet for reports like this for those of us who can travel. Thank you for such a beautiful report and my grandfather swam in Lake Michigan in the winter.
She is one of the richest women, this is a dream of many people leaving like such life being around nature and beautiful views without voice and air pollution...
oh how I wished to live at where she live even though it's hard work , especially at winter All those beautiful scenes , northern lights, plants , flowers , clear beautiful sky , and stars it's all amazing it's like a pure beautiful dream for me
With My eyes closed I can feel every star and snow flake. With My eyes open I feel like I am Dreaming. The way you tell the story and the sound of your voice makes feel like I am right there. The Harvest was one of my favorite parts. Cinematography was Phenomenal. This is the most magical and organic video I have ever seen on RUclips!
Wow! What she said about the flower never forcing itself to bloom in winter. This woman is pretty amazing and wise. I feel like I just had a therapy session.
Joanna, thank you for educating me about the light vs. dark in Sweden. You are such a lovely woman. Your dog loves you so much as you enjoy the rising winter sunlight.😊
It is a challenge, you will go quit depressed, dosent matter if its summer or winter, from the lowest to the highest, or the highest to the lowest, no where between to be fair, but yeah you will sooner or later (if you survive) adapt to the climat and inviorment! /sry for my bad english!
I grew up in Norway. I have many fond memories of getting lost in the mountains and losing track of time until 4 am without a care in the world because there was a beautiful soft summer light all through the night.
I guess it's incredible experience. I wish I was lost in mountains at least once 😍😅I would like to ask are these beautiful landscapes with strong contrast only in North of Sweden, Norway, Iceland?)
If you never saw one image or video of Sweden, you could play this film and be totally blown away by the beauty of this land. This film should be a national treasure for your country. You have captured the true essence of what it means to be Scandinavian. Well done Jonna!
I'm living through her as I will never be able to survive in such cold climate, being from the tropical part of India. Dear Jonna, your video are amazing and well shot and your narration is almost poetic. Keep up the great work!
And not to mention. yes this is real not fantasy, well it is fantasy but still real. And this beautiful nature combined with HD camera and editing, etc.. its amazing.
These words definitely grabbed my attention too. Many of us struggle with seasonal highs and lows, especially in the dark of winter. Sage advice to find activities to "rest" and rejuvenate during the cold winter months. :)
Jonna, I love the way you described the winter when the sun rises just above the treetops in the middle of the day; its soft pink light that spreads across the sky and the twilight like a sunrise without a sun. That’s just beautiful. The breathtaking views of the snow, frozen lakes, icy clouds and all the magic happening in the sky make it hard to believe that a place like this actually exists! It almost feels like a completely different planet. Amazing photography skills. Thanks for this, it really is a masterpiece ❤
It almost did, a big power plant was about to be set up there 2 years ago. Thankfully the local people protested and the authorities stopped the initiative.
They have been mining iron ore, oil and timber in northern Scandinavia for centuries now its why Norway and Sweden are such wealthy countries along with underpopulation. Not many people live there. There are more people in New York city than all of Norway. Only a very special type of person can handle the rough environment so it will remain largely untouched as it has since the beginning of time
as an introvert and someone purely into nature, that is exactly the type of place and person I always want to live my live with/in. the flawless beauty of nature plus your philosophy and story telling makes the most anxious, calm and peaceful. such an amazing work and thank you so much for the tireless efforts for making this heavenly beautiful video. sending you prayers!
It's not just a video, for me, it's an incredible-fourteen-minute journey. And your acceptance to the nature adds a great sense to IT.. Thanks for such a content.
It saddens me to see that there is 4.3k dislikes. It makes me think that they are not happy in their lives. Such beautiful scenery alone. I thought it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you Jonna. Have a wonderful day.
It's correct. This almost borders on a meditation video with fantastic shots, dynamic and yet so relaxing. Very well edited and voiced. I'm so excited I had to share it.
@@washimbond714 Jonna sacrificed everything to live her dream, and she struggled to do so. She works incredibly hard to support her lifestyle and has been sharing her journey since the start. None of this was ever for views, and you would know that if you actually watched her content and watched her grow from nothing. She doesn't battle the winters and tend to the summers for RUclips view. I didn't get a single AD while watching this either so you can't claim it's for profit. She's won awards for her work, she does the edits herself and has learned and grown with her platform over the course of years. She's worked incredibly hard for this and that and her GENUINE personality is WHY she has fan. You're just miserable and it's apparent. I pity you.
As a Swedish man, I can tell you that this video is all true. However, what Jonna is doing differently from most of us is that she utilizes the conditions to what they are. The rest of us hide in our warm homes during the cold times and complain about the cold. I wish we were more like Jonna. Detta är vackert, och detta är precis vad Sverige är, egentligen.
Right there, I drive a lot of foreigners in my taxi in half island of Bjäre. And they think they come to some fairytale land with wonderful cute cottage. Sverige är vackert.
I love how poetic this video is: the cinematography, the narration, and the music are all beautifully intertwined to depict your actual experience in living there in a near-mythic cadence. Thank you for sharing. Also, as someone with Swedish heritage living in Minnesota, I adore how Sweden's landscape feels like home to me, only more vast and dynamic. Beautiful and haunting.
I always absolutely love your videos.❤ I found your channel because of going through a spiritual awakening, and I was being called to the northern lights. And there you are I want to move myself and my 2 young 4 and 5 year old boys to a small village. You remind me so much of myself, and made me remember who I am, when America has tried to conform me and hypnotize my mind. I’m looking for a passage there now. But I’ve never left the United States and don’t know where I need to begin. I don’t want to raise my two young boys here. I know it will take their freedom and make them forget who they are. Like The world has done so many others, and not all of us were gifted the ability to wake up and remember who we are. Unless I continue to intervene. Stay blessed love❤ and continue being your pure, natural self. Sending love, light and Spirituality from Tahisha in the U.S.

I'm a professional photographer. I think your nature footage is as good as anything else I've seen anywhere. You could easily work for National Geographic or the Planet Earth films. I truly believe that. Your footage of Sweden is absolutely stunning, among your many other talents.
Wow - what an excellent piece of videography. You make it sound like someone is blind half way through the year only to see the beauty of your country for the 1st time - every year. I have been very fortunate to visit Sweden in the summer and winter and it one of the best places I have ever visited. I often visit Saariselka (Finland) in December and my family and I have been very lucky to see the Northern Lights on top of the mountain without any light pollution - purples, greens and yellow waves across the sky. What is sad, is most people try to over complicate things during trips; and maybe we should all go back to basics and witness the randomness of nature. Thank you for a lovely video.
Some of the shots in this are the kinds of shots you only expect to see when watching high-budget nature docs like Planet Earth and Our Planet. Gorgeous. Inspiring.
I live in India, which is a tropical country. So basically we witness sunlight n darkness everyday. I cn just imagine how fascinating it would be, to explore another side of nature. Months of sunlight and months of darkness. Will definitely visit Sweden
Well, by flying to sweden, you will contribute to destroy the nature. Just stay, where you are and enjoy the beauty of your own country, I'm sure, India has a fascinating nature, too.
Dear sweet Jonna! I decided to write to you, despite not knowing English or Swedish. I am a Russian speaking person. But I am so moved by your amazing, magical and incredibly kind videos that I decided to use a translator and write as best I can. I really hope you can understand me. Thank you very much for your hard work. You do, in my opinion, some of the finest things on our planet. I deeply share your values. When I watch your videos, I enjoy your contemplation of beautiful creations, your hard work, perseverance, your tenderness and care for people, loved ones, as well as about your gentle and loyal pets. Your channel is beautiful primarily due to your kindness and modesty. You radiate love, humility and sincerity. I’m so glad I don’t see a drop of narcissism in you. Thanks to what you create, I was able to remember my own values, hidden somewhere deep in me. I suffered so much without them and tried to be different. Thank you for letting me get you back.
