@Bryce Czirr my dude a stage 2 mk7r with apr tune, down pipe, intake and cat back is putting more power than 330hp that the mk8r is claiming. The mk8 will definitely kick ass once retuned no doubt but not stock against a stage 2 mk7r
MK7 GTIs with over 500 to the tire = can walk any car you had in this video. Turbo MQB cars have a great torque curve and under 3000 lbs. weight means they are hard to beat from a roll. Most late model Mustangs, Chargers, Camaros are too heavy. Pigs can fly, but they need 1000+ hp to do it ;)

The 6speed DSG on my tuned GTI Clubsport mk7 you dont wana mess with. Thinking getting it TCU tuned by Racingline or similar in the future.. I raced a 2017 Civic Type-R and not even him could seem to keep up.. Most likely coz manual. I also tried smoke a Tesla and old Audi R8 2009, but idonu whats wrong with these guys. The only one beating me so far was a Custom real hardcore built old Volvo 740... Haha 😄 But was also the coolest race i had before i went Stage 1 👍
@@tredfxman the DSG gear shifts are so fast that a 6MT owner has to have about 50extra horsepower to stand a chance. However I know a lot of dudes with with driver mod, and the DSG really doesn’t make a difference. I had the option to get a DSG mk5 but it was already modded my 6MT was bone stock one owner. Kinda wish I went DSG just for daily drivability. But in the backroads especially living in Oregon I couldn’t live without a manual.

I try to stay even with everyone but some ppl like to stay in power band or when they brake boost etc. most of the gopro footage look like that bc of the wide angle lens
The scene y’all have in Cali seems much more fair and fun compared to what we have in Houston. Everything in Houston is so fucking fast I can’t even try to race with my own 6spd GTI (mk6) which is prob only 300-350whp. A lot of the cars in this video probably would’ve gapped me, but my god it would’ve been fun to race them. Be safe bro!!!

I got a CTS 67 millimeter dual ball bearing Turbo with a Unitronic stage 3 ECU & DSG Tune. HPA Big brake kit & I am running Water/Meth kit & a APR intercooler & CTS Charge pipe for the water/meth & a Spulen discharge pipe. Never been on the dyno, but CTS claims that with the Turbo & software the car will make at least 403hp.
mexico is such a awesome place, i like videos of gti's going there, I have a mexico request, if you have the oppertunity to race a 500bhp r32t, or stage 2 vw mk7r or stage 2 rs3, or amg a45. it would be interresting to see your is38 conversion sweep against 500bhp vag group cars. just to know whether its really worth it buying those expensive hatches, or just is38 swope a golf 7 gti and have more fun

Exhaust, tune, tires and stay on top of maintenance. Good summer tires as your budget allows. I’ve owned GTI’s and a couple of GLI’s going back to the MK2, currently have a DSG MK7 IS38 tuned on Eurodyne for pump 93...not gonna lie, I kinda miss my dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree every few months. Anybody else? VR6 MK4 was legendary in that regard.

Damn, was looking forward to seeing that run with the F80. But I'm more than certain he'll take you. Having raced my buddy's FBO F82. I take the jump until about 90 (from a 60 roll), then he'll come screaming past. You might get a little extra leway since you're E70 vs my pump. But you'll need a hybrid to play with a tuned S55. Loved the video though =]
