There will never everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr be a tag team like the road warriors! God Bless them!!!!!!!
RIP Hawk and Animal! Best tag team ever in my book! Thanks for the memories and all the great wrestling over the years.
Joe & Mike!! They were great!! They became great witnesses for Jesus!!!
I remember Hawks catch phrase, " Awww What A Rush!"
RIP Hawk & Animal. One of my favorite tag teams.
There will never be a more bad ass tag team in wrestling than the Road Warriors. Thank you for the great memories. Animal and Hawk continue to rest in peace
RIP ANIMAL!!! THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU GAVE TO US FANS!!
Amen to that
RIP
Yep when Joe lived in Minnesota I used to work on his and Julie's and James and Jessica cars.
What both #Hawk an #Animal??
I didn't hear about Animal dying?? When?
Poor Bart was getting stressed just thinking about working with the Roadies.
Remember when I got thier action figures for Christmas. Happiest day ever!
Best quote ever by Bill Eadie; “If Andre the Giant can sell, ANYONE can sell!”..
R.I.P HAWK & ANIMAL GREATEST TAG-TEAM OF ALL TIME....
Amen brother 😎
Yes sir, and there ain't even a close second
The Fabulous Ones was the best part of video. Funny stories!
I was in Japan when Danny would come in. 1987/1991. US NAVY Veteran, See him and the guys walking downtown Yokohama and Toyko the coolest.
When there music hit and you heard "oh what a rush" would give me chills
Im old school straight up ironman live now that was a rush
Stevie Ray is living on another planet.
How do you figure? When did you start watching and have you ever seen prime Harlem Heat?
@@augustushaynes1311I have and they don’t touch prime Warriors
@@rtricharlmao road warriors were fucking awful and as soon as the steiners, doom and the Samoans came around it showed since they couldn’t bully those teams
@@Cream-2128which samoans? Wild samoans were befor LOD came along and jimmy and jay come on lmfao steiners didnt finish careers as tag team doom were cheap knockoffs
@@mauriceb3135 I think it was the Samoan Swat Team.
Animal: Tell em Hawk! Hawk: Welllllll!
Stevie Ray sounded like he was cutting a promo rather then having a shoot interview 😂
My favorite all time, no other close in my mind. Glad I saw them live too
I'm so old that I remember as a kid seeing the Road Warriors in the old Virn Ganya's AWA with the free birds, baron von rashkie and those guys
I didn't know Stevie Ray was such a comedian. 😂😂🤦♂️
Damn there was a whole big ass wood pile that came out of Minnesota!!
Surprised that they didn't talk to Nikita Koloff about this, he was very close to them and wrestled them quite a bit.
All of these wrestlers I grew up watching in the 80:s and 90's. Dusty Rhodes Lex Luger Steiner's man that list goes and forever. And that was just WCW. AWA, WWF/WWE and NWA I started watching soon after. When they all share their stories and experiences in videos of shoots about careers and experiences with other wrestlers it's informing. You hear different versions from different wrestlers. Brings back wonderful memories of the good ole wrestling memories.
Hearing hawks voice again is soothing. Rest in power L.O.D
Road Warriors one of the best tag teams ever rest in peace guys and thank you
Stevie Ray sounds like he wants Harlem Heat to have the heavy rep The Road Warriors had
That energy drink Bart was referring to was called Ultimate Orange . That crap would light your ass up. It gave my brother an arythmia! FDA banned that shit lol. LOD, grown men wrestling. Me and my buddies loved them guys
thats what I thought. UO had ephedrine in it. that stuff is like a weaker amphetamine 😅
The Road Warriors and the Steiner's legit badasses!
Warriors weren't bad asses. They were roided up non workers who didn't like to sell .People hate on Goldberg and The Ultimate Warrior but love those guys? I'd admit Ultimate Warrior was unprofessional behind the scenes but was wasn't any worse in the ring. And the Road Warriors were backstage politicians who had to get their way. Just like Hogan,Flair,Michaels and everyone else you marks talk sh*t about.
@@cojack636you sound bitter 😂
I love Dan Spivey segment....real honesty.
Spivey's a legit tough sumbitch
Black Bart’s face when he’s trying to be hawk 😭😭🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
After Stevie Rays comments I think I’d really love to see them in their prime vs the rockers or the bulldogs in their prime
Seems like more pro wrestlers came out of Minnesota than any other state.
Thanks guys for the great content, l love listening to these legends talk about the glory days.
God bless all these guys and everyone who chooses this career. Not an easy way to make a living.
Nice shout out at the end by Mike and Joe to the Enhancement talent that actually LOVED working with them and helped put them over. Guys like The Mulkeys have to be honored to hear the greatest Tag Team that ever wrestled give them respect.
So what was the stuff that they were drinking backstage? Did it have cocaine or something in it?
@@robaxl3088my guess is, it was a workout supplement with ephedrine in it
The MOST legendary & Recognizable tag team of all time.
I'd like to hear from some of the jobbers that faced Hawk and Animal in the squash matches for Jim Crockett.
I would have been terrified if I knew I was bout to be clothes lined or slammed by Hawk and/or Animal.
I have no idea how much the enhancement talent was paid to take on the Road Warriors, but I hope it was worth it.
I met Road Warrior Animal and Hacksaw Jim Duggan at a GNC promotion once. I'm a big dude but I was small compared to them. I talked to them for about 5 minutes, both cool and down to earth guys.
I was there too, memories dude, at the Manhattan 34th street , I also met Mr perfect
Met Duggan and Animal at SC Comicon great guys
@Metropcs Metropcs What about Leapin' Lanny Paffo, King Kong Bundy, Hacksaw Jim Duggan. the Junkyard dog, Black Jack Mulligan, the Mulkey brothers, the masked assassins, the Great Kabuki, Gordon Solie, Kendo Nagasaki, drinking beer with Chief Wahoo McDaniels, mowing Dusty Rhodes lawn
@Allen Wilson I meant weight-wise. I'm 6'2" and 220. These guys were 280, 290.
@@MrNYCman530 were they taller than you? That's amazing that you got to meet them😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Animal killed me when he mentioned Ronnie Garvin. When The Road Warriors remember how Stiff you worked 😂
Would have been interesting to hear from Doom or The Steiners.
Hawk & Animal were awesome!!!
The Skyscrapers were legit awesome and scary. Too bad they were so short lived
Stevie ray is crazy 😂😂
I grew up idolizing the Road Warriors and between them and The Incredible Hulk (Lou Ferrigno) I got into the gym in middle school and never left. Ended up surprisingly being a 6’3 270 lb Marine. Funny how influential some are in our youth.
The Skyscrapers moniker was one of the best ever. Unique...never used before or after. And they were awesome.
Thank you Joe and Mike, back together in peace
I believe ALL these men have made a contribution to professional wrestling they should all be commended for it!
wow im old , i remember these guys when they was young ... dudes .. hehe what an era
I watched a clip on here few weeks ago of behind the scenes of a NWA show from 1988/89.. Hawk was completely off his Rocker... Luger looked worn out just watching Hawk..... Bet Road Warriors had some stories to tell... i believe they first met as Nightclub doormen
I remember that when hawk an animal came to the AWA...
Jeez..
Oh man, it’s hard to hear the Demolition saying their matches with the Road Warriors sucked when it was one of my favourite childhood wrestling moments 😢😢😢
Stevie Ray is crazier than hell! If he had tried to bench 500 pounds, he'd blow out every gasket he had.
Haha. He just finished that sentence when I read ur comment. Funny when that happens. Stevie Ray sounded like he was laying down a promo. Haha good stuff.
I mean...he didn't try to sell it like Booker could. Stevie was a big guy...
Dan Spivey sounds BITTER still.
Bill Eddy sounds like he has a great mind for the Business.
I loved Booker T he wrestled great and he did great interviews, well deserving to be in The Hall Of Fame in wrestling.
Always will be my favorite..r.i.p Road Warriors 🙏
The Eliminators vs Road Warriors woulda been amazing.
Warriors may not have been the best technical wrestlers, but they had the best persona and ring presence of their day.
Hawk & Animal.....
Forever Legends.....
Rest in peace thanks for the memories
Road warriors will live forever in the hearts the fans
My favorite tag team matches were always LOD vs Demolition. I liked both teams.
19:10 All these things describe Booker, you were just along for the ride Stevie
@The Contrarian agreed. Solid comment.
I liked Harlem Heat but Booker was definitely the standout
Stevie Ray, in my opinion, didn’t get a proper single’s push. They could’ve given him a LEGITIMATE TV Title push...
@The Contrarian oh you are so sadly. Misinformed on true wrestling talent. Harlem Heat will out perform LOD in their sleep. Steve was the back bone of Harlem Heat. And not to mention all of the wrestling management that tried to break them up before they did. There are alot of great matches where Steve was the standout
95 Harlem Heat vs 86 Road Warriors
Wrestlers + the south = Gold
29:20-32:11..one of my fave stories ever
Stevie rays interview......: not got a blown up ego whatsoever, so extremely humble, down to earth nice guy....🤦♂️😂🤣🤣
Harlem Heat was the shit and a WAY better tag team in literally every way than Road Warriors. But because they were usually heels, people always put over the LOD instead. Joke.
RIP to the Road Warriors/LOD. Greatest Tag Team of All TIME!!
There were a lot of wrestlers who seemed to confuse being tough with doing business. There was also a division between the guys that made their money as workers who did jobs, and those that made their money brawling and going over every night, be it pinfall or dq.
True...HOW could you see beating them, seriously?!
"What a rush!!"
So basically to sum it up... they were stiff. They beat the poop out of everyone so guys didn't want to wrestle with them. And they were nice guys.
Still to me... best team ever!
Apparently you didn’t listen. They were stiff AND they always tried to put themselves over as stronger than everyone, even guys bigger than them. Even in WWF, they’d take piledrivers from Bulldog and others and pop right up. As one of these dudes said, “if Andre the Giant can sell, anyone can sell” and the LOD never learned that lesson. They were shitty promos too. All they had was costumes and ahhh what a rush bc they were fucked up on steroids and amphetamines. Lmao joke of a tag team.
@@augustushaynes1311 as far as promos... you're way off. Everything else is probably true... but not any different than most of the guys back then. STILL the best team ever!
When you were 9 years old none of that was known or mattered, LOD were the only tag team back then in my 9 year old eyes
They had great matches against the Steiner Brothers, good matches against the Warlord/Barbarian, Doom and Demolition but were so-so versus the Midnight Express, Rock-n-Roll Express and other smaller but higher skilled teams. Honestly I don’t remember them wrestling Harlem Heat.
They dominated all jobbers and other just put together teams.
I feel like I was part of the business being a fan and all since 1985. Loved LOD from the second they debuted in WWE.
All these guys was great
Thanks for the video, TITLE MATCH WRESTLING
Guess we don't have to wonder where Hawk got OHHHH WHAT A RUSH from
Ahhhhhh what a RUSH!
Steve Keirn story is awesome
Booker T said Road Warriors were the greatest. Stevie Ray is crazy. Haha
Actually, Hawk (Mike), Animal (Joe), and Smash from Demolition (Barry Darsow) were actually bouncers in a nightclub before rhey became wrestlers.
I thought the video was about the Road Warriors, all Stevie wanted to do was talk about how great Harlem Heat was, or how great he thought they were at least.
The Road Warriors weren’t like the average geek down the road were they?!?
No! They were a little different, just a little.
They deserved every dollar they got the GOATs L.O.D much respect an r.i.p hawk an animal
Bill Eadie is brilliant lol
What where gonna do come find us Bill was a brilliant wrestler and tough as nails to
I loved Demolition
Sid & Dan wouldve been a great team for Road Warriors to feud with.
LOD was the GOAT of tag team. Period
The Fabulous ones I'm not familiar with I've got to check out their matches they seem like such sweet guys
Did u find any of their stuff??
They were great
(Good old Skinner)
The road warriors strongest best tag team ever.plus these guys were great guys.
doom was the strongest, they both legit benched over 600 ,facts
This is awesome 😋
I love mic time with the Road Warriors their style of wrestling wasn't too bad either. 👍
Road Warriors would wipe the floor with Harlem heat
Both of them never had a real fight in their lives ....Hawk got beat up by 2 Cold Scorpio in 1995 Korea and 1992 he got beat up by John Parrella in Tokyo Racist Mutt
@@CP-kb1du yeah it's real easy to beat a man when he is sick . Fact is even Scot Norton said a Healthy Hawk would have wipe the Floor with 2 crap
Hell naw. they couldn't even wipe the floor with doom or the powers of pain
need a video on DYNAMITE KID ( Tommy Billington ) before & during Bulldogs days. Tommy was the Greatest performer
Joe, a gentle, regular man in the chair of our tattoo artist. They had quiet and mutually enjoyable conversations as we just let them have their time.
Im from the same neighborhood as Mike. I know a few things about stuff he did before becoming a wrestler. Legitimate street tough guy. Nice guy too. If you FU you FO if you get my drift. RIP to all of them.
Is it just me or does Stevie Ray have a chip on his shoulder? Seemed like the very question offended him.
Jealous. Maybe just being competitive.
Does Stevie Ray really believe they were better than the Warriors?? Misguided, indeed
There's a reason Booker has singles championships and Stevie has...a slap jack.
Why can't he believe that
Stevie Rey. Is a Goof !!!
Lots of teams wer better than the road Warriors. Being a better wrestler and being more over aren't the same
Harlem Who? Lmfao
They changed the complexity of wrestling definitely!!! Put the stamp on their legacy by creating a different style and mood. The energy was ridiculous when they entered the wrestling world .
Chris Jericho is morphing into Greg Valentine.
@John Drake The steak dinners and the BUBBLY doesn't help either.
Jericho is going through his Fat Elvis stage
He might have a thyroid problem.
@@tylowe78 It's called being an alcoholic who has given up on working out or even pretending to be an athlete at this point, instead just acting like he is the God of wrestling. His tits are getting as bad as Honky Tonk Mans
@@user-sb2tb9oe7d He's a cousin of mine.... we go thru our phases and then bounced back to top shape...Bill Irvine!!
I saw them work with the Fabs and the Moondogs often
Doctor d you still look great you are one I have a lot of respect for.
I'm really digging Big Stevie Ray, even if he is a tad deluded, I give him props just for the sheer brazen way he comes over 👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧, don't get me wrong, Harlem Heat with Sherri were awesome, and both him and Booker were tough, but best tag team ever?, not sure on that Stevie, but you were good.
And you wonder how Hawk died from a heart attack.
Facts
My favorite tag team growing up among many good teams.
It's almost erie and sad to hear Hawk and Animal talking about how they wanted to retire. It's kind of a sad reality when you think a few years later, Hawk is dead because of drugs and Animal passes away abruptly of God only knows what. You often think what could have been had Hawk cleaned up his life sooner and LOD would have gone on to many great things.
I think Hawk and Animal both died prematurely due to the use of steroids. Any wrestler or or muscled athlete you see dying young from heart attack more than likely died due to an enlarged heart from steroids.
