He's actually the king in this movie. Also the instrument efra mentioned is called a khartal, i think. Have seen it mainly used in Rajasthani folk music ( someone pls crct if I'm wrong)
There are a lot of videos on RUclips explaining Karthal if you want to explore Efra. He is a king leaving for a war and that’s his queen seeing him off.
no you are right it makes sense karthal tracelled from western india to spain via romani people
Yes i am also sure it is karthal...story is about Rajasthan king ratan singh so it is more probable that instrument is also from rajasthani folk music.
Kartal is also very common in East india. Bengali kirtan is incomplete without kartal
" Mohe rang do lal ' by shreya Ghoshal is a must watch directed by sanjay lella bhansali
💯💯
They have already watched that song when they watched Bajirao Mastani. Instead
They should react to bhor bhaye tori baat takat piya
@@NarutoUzumaki-xd4db would love to see that ❤️🙂🙂🙂
I didn't even know that Sanjay Leela composed this song. He is such talented human being. Now I know why his songs in his movies does such a great job of depicting the very moment.
Me too didn't. I was about to correct them that Bansali is the director of the movie and not the composer and then I saw ur comment and verified . Surprised..
@@mridulraj2468 me too.
He has composed for a lot of his own movies
@@paradiseruler9881 He is a director who also composes for his own films since a few years now. He is the music composer for most of his films. U should fact check before rolling eyes!
@@dyritti thats why i wrote "i guess" so that some enlightened factual being can entertain it. And it does
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has some of the best cinematography in bollywood. One of his underrated pieces is Yoon Shabnami. It has really interesting percussion and the vocals and choreo is are lovely as well.
I ,sometimes, really get amazed when you actually interpret the movie/scene just by the music..😯👌
Loved the reaction..🥰
This is not the video of the song. This is clips of the movies with the song. Personally love the song 'nainowale ne' and 'holi aayi re' from this movie. Those are so beautiful. Listen to it. Its enchanting.
5:15 this scene is from the song 'holi aayi re'
Others- let's add music to our movies
Sanjay Leela Bhansali - let's add a movie to our music
You guys did podcasts with many singers worldwide but when will you gonna do feature Friday plus podcast with an Indian singer? We are eagerly waiting for this. Hope you guys soon do it ✌️
There is already a couple of podcasts on indian singers by them
They have done more Indian music videos then any other countries.
Yes
I recommend u to start with shreya.. She's lovely
That string instrument was Santoor. Very melodious and magical sounds
do check out "Meri jaan" music video which is also a Sanjay Leela Bhansali composition! you'll love it
react to "masakali" from Delhi 6, its beautifully composed by AR Rahman. its a truly fresh song!!
Also, Deepika Padukone is one of jury member in this year's cannes Film festival. You should definitely check out her outfits . Every magazine from all over the world is covering her outfits. She recently became first indian and south asian woman as louis vuitton ambassador.
Ghoomar song from this movie is also a masterpiece
QOTD - the instrument that you asked for is called a 'Khartal'
Deepika is a jury member at Cannes this year. You should definitely check out her looks. A lot of others were there including Aishwarya Rai and Tamannah (from Bahubali) among the ones you know ofc. Their looks this year didn't impress me as much. Deepika slayed in all tho 🔥
look 🤮without makeup 💄
@@happyvirk1 she's even prettier without makeup. Idk what you're going on about 🤷♀️
@@happyvirk1 much much preetier and talented than you who is good for nothing
Raagas are melodies depicting different emotions. This song has "Shringaar raas" or Romance.
They will have to know more about ras becoz the concept of RAS is very interesting...
[10:00] string instrument you were alluding to is probably 'Santoor'. Its bit similar in looks to harp, but far more versatile.
You guys need to review to ghoomar from the same movies. It's gold
Please react to “Aaj Ibaadat” from the movie Bajirao Mastani, which is also composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Khalibali is still my favorite song from this movie
it’s called a Sitar
Please react to ghoomar from the same movie by shreya ghoshal
I really like your reactions. You must react to any of the following songs, you will really feel amazed.
1. Aao balma by A.R Rahman of coke studio.
2. Noor E Khuda from movie My Name is Khan.
3. Ladki by Sachin Jigar, of coke studio.
4. Garaj Garaj Jugalbandi from Bandish Bandits series.
5. Taj Mahal Tea presents E-baithak by Madhuri Dixit and Niladri Kumar
6. O rangrez from movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
First one😁🙊Love From PAKISTAN 🇵🇰❤️
Can u please react to kaun tujhe by palak muchhal from M.S dhoni movie 💜🥺
Sanjay Leela Bhansali just paints a beautiful canvas on screen. He just makes art come alive on screen. That's why I wanted Aladdin to be made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Have you guys seen Deepika on cannes red carpet ? she's serving looks 😩 Waleska you should definitely check it out!
Exaggerated😂
@@mohitkumarlal2687 seriously 😂
Please watch Ghoomar and Mohe Rang Do Laal!
Meri Jeet bhi tu - It's my victory that I have won your heart and you.
Meri haar bhi tu - I will fight any battle for you, even if I have to lose everything for it.
Dear Waleska and Efra, you are amazing musicians and reactors. I love your videos and I am addicted to it. I am watching many videos repeatedly.
Watch the last scene from this movie. Moving and a cinematic treat on a mega scale
ENJOOOOOOY
React on Ghoomar please
The instrument you were asking about ,we call it ‘Dafli’ in Hindi . I suppose it’s called Tambourine in English.
You guys haven't checked out Arijit's independent music.. Here is one written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore, a legend. It is a Bengali song(Arijit's Mother tongue), also the video has captions..
React to the song "ilahi" from Yeh Jawaani hai deewani. It's an awesome track !
Finally 😷👍
I love this song!!!! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Please react to INN LAMHON KE DAAMAN MEIN
Check out this track *"O Saya"* from the Oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire. A.R. Rehman and his team did such a wonderful job here.
I don't know how he created the sound of a running train with instruments. Such a hidden gem. People have forgotten about it. It gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. It must be revisited.
It shouldn't be missed. Please check it out. Requesting again.
React to the songs "HAMDARD" and "O SAATHI"
This movie still gives me goosebumps n makes me cry
please also react to Holi (Manganiyars & Langa's folk song) from Padmaavat and also Aaj Ibaadat from Bajirao Mastani
It's called Khartaal,Its a rajasthani folk instrument
All the songs from Padmavat are amazing btw, keep them comin!
Oh my goodness 😃 what a coincidence! I was dying for the song whole day and listing the same repeatedly. Because of the music and i love to dance on those beats . ❤️❤️
React on "Yoon Shabnami" from Sanjay leela bhansali film Sawaariya.
Ajay-Atul's "Yad Lagla" Song from Sairaat movie.
Normally the lyrics are written first to a meter given by the music composer. The song is then recorded. The director or in some cases the dance director take it forward. With the level of understanding the poetry, the music and the visuals, in the hands of a master storyteller like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, you can expect the moon and more.
ENJOOOOOOY
That bell/tinkling sound comes from Tiny cymbals called ‘manjira’.
You might look up the sounds created by a few string instruments that play a large part in traditional music
Santoor
Sarod
Sitar
Sarangi
it might help you decipher the sounds better. Your sensitivity is remarkable

Great reaction 👌
You should react to climax scene of this movie (johar scene) its amazing guys u should checkout
They are the King and Queen and he is up against a formidable enemy with a humongous army. They both know the impending result, but she sees of him off with a smile while holding her tears.
Thats the mood of the song.
That instrument is called "Santoor"... About which you are talking (which sounded like mandolin but it's totally different 😇)...
SANTOOR- do check out its videos it sounds so Beautiful and lifts you up like a breeze.
Also it was "Sarangi" & not Violin that you guys got confused into... A Rajasthan originated instrument of India 😇
Both are really very very very beautiful sounding instruments since a very long time.. but gotten forgotten slowly in this evolving era of EDM's and Electronic music.
Love all your reaction videos 🤗
You are the best western reviewers od music i have found yet
Every song of this film will be etched in history. Absolute classics!
Do check....Humko hum hi se chura Lo...❤️❤️ Aishwarya and Shahrukh
14:52 what you say here is very profound ❤🔥- always a great pleasure to watch you two disecting Bollywood music that I'm so familiar with already but I learn so so so so much more.
Also, love Waleska's facial expressions here, lolz 🤣
About that line in the lyrics, I had a different interpretation of what it meant. To me it sounded more like "you are just everything to me", as in his love and devotion to her is so much, that it's all-encompassing, like, she is the absolute definitive answer to everything, she is the result of everything, there is no other option available(?)
So whether he wins something or loses something, she is his.
Whether it rains or sun shines, she is his.
Whether it's day or night, she is his.
But your interpretations seem more valid than mine, 💗
Please react on ghoomar song of padmavat
Sooo glad!! Movies please!!!
Please react to “Maar Daala” and “Kaahe chhed” from the movie Devdas. You’ll definitely be mesmerised!
This song is sung by Shivam Pathak
Shahid Kapoor is the male lead here
You guys are so cool with your dissections. Thank you!!!
I think what you are talking about is manjira , that bells like sound . Used in temples during prayer songs .
React to s.p bala subramanyam he is a legend singer in indian cinema who has sung thousands of songs
While the scenes shown in the video are in the movie. They don’t have this song as the song that is playing in the scenes/background.
The scene where he sat and you heard the bells had another song that is played. It’s the Padmavat Holi folk song. So they chose the snippets of this video well to match the song.
Edit if you start a new channel can we have a PRITHVIRAJ jukebox reaction it’s 22 minutes with alle audio songs of the movie that’s releasing 3rd of June.
Please react to
1. 'Bismil' from 'Haider'
2. 'Hafiz Hafiz' from 'Laila MAJNU'
3. 'Kun faya Kun' the movie version
All three are not only musical wonders, but a lyrical and cinematic experience as a whole. They have a touch of ballad, Sufi and local folk influence evident in them..
Also I understand you guys are literally churning videos out, God bless, but why haven't you guys watched Rockstar yet? 😭❤️
That instruments ( the Spanish one ) called kartaal in hindi . That clap kind of sound made with wooden instruments.
The instrument you asked is called KHARTAL they are traditionally rajasthani i.e a state in india..
React to Ghoomar from Padmavat sung by Shreya Ghosal
Please react to 'Tabah Ho Gaye full video' from movie Kalank And Also 'Ghoomar' from movie Padmavaat....you guys would love it
Wow you guys reacted on my suggestion.
Music is emotion.
Basically, meri jeet bhi Tu, meri haar bhi tu
my victory and loss both are you
And all other lyrics collectively and individually when you analyse these lyrics especially as the way of hundreds of eastern poets, these lyrics
They want to signify that everything his world revolves around, everything that effects him intensely represents her
By victory and loss, the lyricist means the things that can SHOOK HIM TO HIS CORE in the entire universe and they all maybe different things but in the end they represents her in his mind.
Like his life or everything his life gets impacted and shaped by is a waterfall which in the end submerges into the sea which is her
It all falls down into her, it all the intensity represents her.
9:48 The strumming you heard is of the instrument "Santoor".
After watching this film I just got more curious to know about all the historical events of india though I did heard of the queen PATMAVATI and her beauty ...and the bravery of RAJ PUTANA'S even the women is no surprise but this was the first time watching a movie based on her story ...also loved the cinematography and the ending as well will for sure want to visit the JOHAR KUND someday
Do check out King Krishnadevaraya, Onake obavva, kittoor Rani chennamma's sacrifices in different kingdoms. There are hundreds of real stories like Padmaavat.
Do opt for a guided tour if you get a chance to come down to visit Jouhar kund of Chittorgarh
the string instrument is Santoor. Its khartal and you should see Deepika in Cannes 2022.
yesss! you identified pride correctly. This empire of kings - Rajputs - are known for their pride, but in a good way
This one is the movie u must watch... Becoz it is inspired from real Story.
The instrument is called SANTOOR
He is the Director AND the composer of the music!
That instrument before you asked was 'santoor' and the another instrument was 'karthal'...
That strum instrument is Santoor.
It's indian classical most likely.
Listen.....thn... react .dont pause again and again..
I love the Efra's mind works.
U can enjoy the soul of the song when u watch it continuously...dnt stop for every 30sec u will miss the soul...U guys doing great job👍
Can you please react to the following songs which are important part of their respective films which are actually remakes and mark the epitome of semi classical-
Oru murai vanthu (original malyalam from manichitrathazu)
Ra ra song
Ami je tomar (by shreya Ghoshal from bhool bhulaiya)
They had reacted to ami je tomar song but concert version.
@@kunalsingha7319 yes I have seen it but I want them to react on movie version.
9:43 its "Santoor" in background. I guess
Ringing sound like china- probably using a pair of ghungaroo or nupur to add that sound. (dancing/musical bells that are also used on foot while dancing in classical or some native folk dances. smaller and more delicate version also added to jewellery)
Great idea 💡💡
Go for it .. count me in as an official subscriber of feature Friday movie channel🤩🤩🤩
When you say you are my everything
than victory or lost it is obviously her
You are both very sweet ❣️❣️
As a woman, these lyrics represented my understanding of love
The pure emotions and philosophy of love I have felt in my life basically for my blood relations, these lyrics were the closest representation to my emotions of love and how I felt and what I can do for my people.
And I have read a lot of poetry but this was closest to depict my authentic and raw emotions I have.
But in the end of video after going through lyrics, you said some something like that's a "foking" man.
That just caused a tiny heartbreak, lol, as did we women fail to show this kind of love to our loved one's that now world don't even include women in it💔😂😂
I am saying this because I have seen this pattern of assuming something legendary about man and assuming women out of it, I have seen it in many parts of world.
World only recognise a mother's love and protection apart from that all other roles women have aren't recognise by world.
Does that mean we failed to show our larger than life love and actions we took in other forms of being women?
Also English isn't my mother tongue
Complexity is the correct word to use to describe these characters relationship.
So the instrument which WLSK said sounds like Mandolin is Called 'Sitaar' it's one of the most important instrument of classical music as well it is said to be played by Goddess Saraswati who in India is goddess of arts and knowledge.....
Best people on internet 😍🥰🥰
Please do check out Mohammad Faiz's Superstar Singer 2 Audition "Khamoshiyan". He is just 14 years old, but he sounds so mature and he has good tonal voice quality. You will love it.... Please try to react to it.
The magic that you hear is because of the music arranger who is Monty Sharma
theres a song named pranavalya which is very very beautiful also a recent one samed sol from ponniyan selvam which i think you both will love and appreciate
10:23 its not bell is a musical instrument called Swarmandal it like harp an Indian version of harp its main purpose is to saporting the vocal
