Bollywood songs are not always classical . It actually depends on the scene of the movie . Many times , the amazing soundtracks of movies make them a hit in box-office🔥
Binte Dil from Arijith should be your next watch.....Arijith has worked so hard to create magic in this song and he for sure nailed it along with the epic music composed ❤️
Arijit was formally trained in indian classical by his guru and was prohibited to sing bollywood songs in childhood later he bacame voice of bollywood.
India has been the greatest experiment on the planet in terms of making a whole culture into a spiritual process. Once you are born in this land, you may do many things - you may pursue your career, build your family and work at many other aspects of life, but essentially, your life is basically about you attaining to the highest liberation. This is the way this culture was created. Every single act that you perform was aimed only at elevating your consciousness. So, in this culture, music, dance or whatever else you did was not entertainment, it was also a spiritual process. In Indian classical music, the way sound is used - the ragas, the tunes, everything - is such that if you get deeply involved in this, it will bring meditativeness.
When I was a kid our school actually used to play classical music for meditation!!! As I got older I started liking it and focusing on the riffs and runs and sur, etc makes us forget everything else which is essentially what meditation does too, cleans your mind and release stress
My personal recommendations include: - Aao Na and So Jao (both are from the film Haider, which is a modern day Shakespearean adaptation of Hamlet). Criminally underrated songs in my opinion. So Jao is hauntingly beautiful and Aao Na packs a powerful punch. Try listening to the audio versions for these two songs first, then watch their respective music videos afterwards. - Maar Dala, Kaahe Chhed Mohe, Hamesha Tumko Chaha and Morey Piya (all from Devdas) - the compositions, vibrancy and texture of each song is incredibly stunning. The entire film is quite theatrical at its core and just absolutely mesmerising. - Agar Tum Sath Ho (Tamasha) - Deewani Mastani and Mohe Rang Do Laal (Bajirao Mastani) - I only have one word…breathtaking. The song Malhari from the same movie is also fantastic. - Kun Faya Kun (Rockstar) - this is one of my all-time favourite songs. It has a special place in my heart. - Kyon (Barfi) - Udi Tere Aankhon Se (Guzaarish) - all I’ll say about this song is 💃🏻. - Behroopia and Jata Kahan Hai Deewane/Fifi (both from Bombay Velvet) - Behroopia in particular is such a dreamy piece. These two songs have jazz-type undertones, which I adore. - Manmarziyan (Lootera) - another one that barely gets any appreciation although it’s gorgeous. - Haminastu and Pashmina (Fitoor) - if you can, check out the choreography/dance video of Pashmina. It went completely under the radar. - O Re Piya (Aaja Nachle) - sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan. - Bulleya and Channa Mereya (both from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) - Tum Tak (Raanjhanaa) - Ishq Bulaava (Hasee Toh Phasee) Generally speaking, although listening to the audio of the songs is still delightful, I’d highly recommend watching the visuals/music videos too, as they honestly elevate the experience even further. As suggested previously, try listening to the audio versions first, then proceed with the full music videos (be sure to select the right ones that have the video in full length), where possible. Each song has their own rich colour, depth and unique story. It’s like an onion, there are many layers to get through. 🤓
You have great taste in music. I love all the songs you have mentioned. I also happen to love two songs from the movie Yahan- Uruzu urzudu urkut, and Poochhe jo koi. Both are beautiful. Indian film music is very rich because of different reasons....One of them is the budget of a song....generally a films consists 4 - 6 song (background score excluded) and the budget of each song is around Rs.20,00,000/- (approx 20,000 pounds) which is a huge huge amount....so 5 songs would be around 100,000 pounds....one song takes months to get completed....many meeting tales place for finalizing the lyrics, the orchestration and every detail gets importance....As being a composer myself, i know all the small details first hand....🙂
I think you would enjoy Shreya's 'Mohe rang do Laal' from Baajirao Mastaani (studio version) where the girl is asking her beloved to colour her red (the colour of love). The visuals are as breathtakingly beautiful as the song. Another song of a very different mood is the Malhari song from the same movie. That one is a victory dance- thoroughly invigorating. The movie is a historical epic and so the music does reflect that grandeur. For more contemporary sounds, I think 'Agar tum saath ho' from Tamasha movie would be a good choice. It's difficult to understand these lyrics with it's full depths in English translation. Because here those words are another level. Those are not mere words but deep feelings. For e.g. for Love we have Pyar, ishq, mohabbat etc words. But if you use 'Pyar' it's light feeling but if you use 'mohabbat' or 'Ishq' then it's so huge feeling. Its like you simply said 'I love you' vs 'I love you till my last breath'
It's the tune and raga that makes it different otherwise pyaar is pure hindi word while ishq and mohabbat is urdu word that's the only difference... Yes I agree that song losses its essence in translation.. making it so plain..

Since you guys finally discovered this Gem in Arijit's Discography, it's time that you also listen to his live performance on the same song. This is a concert video from his 2019 USA TOUR Arijit Singh Live in LA. He starts off singing the song Laal Ishq on piano in a slow soothing tempo (just like the original studio version), but right when he reaches the chorus part, he changes the whole mood by going crazy over piano and made it sound brilliantly different, an otherwise semi-classical being turned into low-key rock music. Arijit Singh is a fuckin experimentalist on stage, which in turn reflects the brilliant musician (apart from just a brilliant vocalist) that resides with him. Actually, the "enmity" or "enemy" is the literal translation, but the poetic translation in this context is "love" or "lover". In Hindi or Urdu poetry, the context gives the intended meaning of certain words and it can be the opposite of the literal meaning.
Guys love your reaction and comments truly engaging ❤❤❤❤❤ This song was for a indian version of romeo and juliet so ya thats why the lyrics were like that If you wish to hear something different from arjit watch/listen to the song ' Binte dil ' from the movie padmaavat. It's really amazing
React along with the visuals...than you will understand why live is different....as visuals fit the scenes and the story line so they are different....but they go so perfectly with BG scene that it all makes sense.
Also please let me know I'll send you translation....coz you read literal translation... Which is not technically wrong but you miss the poetry behind. I can do a loose translation that's not literally the same but well, will definitely keep the feeling intact.
It is really amazing to watch how quickly you both have assimilated into the Indian musicality. Obviously only the musically smart and experienced can get there so fast. Keep exploring.
You guys are real music lovers, of all the reaction channels I have watched, you are the most genuine and informative. I wish I could sit down with you and answer all the questions you ask. You are in London, plenty of Indians there, get someone to explain Indian music to you.
Really liked how sincere u were towards the song...i really appreciate it...hard to see foreigners reacting so deeply and trying to understand everything about new genre
This is probably the best song of Arijit for me.. I guarantee that no one in world can sing this song with this much feel and perfection.. Just incredible..👍👍
Studio versions are tailored to fit the scene of the movie, to bring the audience into that visual experience. The live version is often about flexing a singer's/instrumentalists' musical ability and expertise. There is more space for improvisations and jugalbandi (call and response) in live version.
You guys have got me hooked on your channel....you know music...awesome. Please try to get sub titles for these songs.....you will enjoy it even better.
This song is from a movie in which the male and female leads are apparently from the families who are enemies, and try to kill each other all the time....They fall in love and try to end the enmity between their families but end up loosing their loved ones and become enemies due to a misunderstanding. They become leaders of their people and stand against each other...until they die together. So....u can call this a story of an ill-fated relationship. Please correct me if I'm wrong....it's been years since I watched this movie, so I don't clearly remember what happened at the end.
React on BINTE DIL from arijit singh and also his FB LIVE songs ...those are gems... This guy is epic...who probably himself doesn't know how precious he is... A gift from God ... ARIJIT SINGH ....THERE'S NO1 LIKE HIM AND HASN'T BEEN ATLEST FOR THE LAST 30YEARS... Beyond legend
He is not singing the song, he is playing with the words and their meaning, like singing SMILE while smiling or happy tone, if u understood the lyrics its become more special.
its beautiful, yet so much bitterness hidden in that sweet voice. Like a love gone bitter tearing at your soul continuously, if it was bad experience you could've forgotten it but it still tastes sweet...yet bitter. How hurtful is this love which is so bitter, yet reminds you of the sweetness.

In india we have more soft songs, which are very polite to ears,🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Indian classical music is so deep .... To explore.. love from 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Binte dil another gem from this gem
It is really amazing to watch how quickly you both have assimilated into the Indian musicality. Obviously only the musically smart and experienced can get there so fast. Keep exploring.
You guys are real music lovers, of all the reaction channels I have watched, you are the most genuine and informative. I wish I could sit down with you and answer all the questions you ask. You are in London, plenty of Indians there, get someone to explain Indian music to you.
Really liked how sincere u were towards the song...i really appreciate it...hard to see foreigners reacting so deeply and trying to understand everything about new genre
I love the way you're feeling it without lyrics... music really itself is a language ❤💞💞💞🥰
Love Your Passion For Music.... A Tight Hug....
This is probably the best song of Arijit for me..
I guarantee that no one in world can sing this song with this much feel and perfection..

Your choices of songs are always the best. Glad that you consider the songs recommend on comments
Binte dil plz react on binte dil movie padmavat
Studio versions are tailored to fit the scene of the movie, to bring the audience into that visual experience.
The live version is often about flexing a singer's/instrumentalists' musical ability and expertise. There is more space for improvisations and jugalbandi (call and response) in live version.
Next stop Binte Dil by Arijit Singh...
This song is awesome!
"Agar tum saath ho" by Arijit and Alka is one of the best songs! You ll love it.

This is my favourite song 😻💞
arjit singh is amazing when him and shreya start singing it's over
You guys have got me hooked on your channel....you know music...awesome.
Please react to BINTE DIL by Arijit Singh 😀

This guy is epic...who probably himself doesn't know how precious he is...
A gift from God ...
ARIJIT SINGH ....THERE'S NO1 LIKE HIM AND HASN'T BEEN ATLEST FOR THE LAST 30YEARS...
Beyond legend
He is not singing the song, he is playing with the words and their meaning, like singing SMILE while smiling or happy tone, if u understood the lyrics its become more special.
FYI: The song is in Raag Aiman = Lydian Mode, you can hear that raised 4th in the chorus as well.
its beautiful, yet so much bitterness hidden in that sweet voice. Like a love gone bitter tearing at your soul continuously, if it was bad experience you could've forgotten it but it still tastes sweet...yet bitter. How hurtful is this love which is so bitter, yet reminds you of the sweetness.
I can't still get why isn't his Facebook live concert recommended it's lit🔥🔥
You have no idea indian classical music is far away from western music ❤️❤️
Yes next must be BINTE DIL since ARIJIT got national award for it... Watch mv as well...... And english translation lyric video

Kahin ye wo to nahi
Jab deep jale aana
Meri aawaj hi pehchan hai
Chandan sa badan chanchal chitvan
Ehsaan tera hoga mujhpar
Ghar se nikalte hi kuch door chalte hi
Moh moh ke dhage
Sochenge tumhe pyaar kare ke nahi
Breathless
Pyaar zindagi
Hamesha tumko chaha
Laal ishq
Aaj ibadat
