NO !!!!! Don’t paint the beautiful little table !!! The finish is great the way it is. It looks ‘richer’ this way . Can’t get over the price ! Glad the dress worked .you loved it so ! Lovely bed skirt. Luv the restaurant ware oval plate …great shopping all around!!!! I LOVE the sweet frame! I remember when you thrifted the larger ones…..gorgeous books. Bless you and your family . ❤Marilyn xx
The bed ruffle has Battenburg lace edging which is very intricate and expensive. I have lots of tablecloths that I inherited from my parents. You really scored getting it for such a low price! Glad the round end table was still at the thrift store. It was meant for you to get it. Great haul and video.
Love that little table, and I would not paint it; however, I would try to restain the top that looks scratched and polyurethane it. Also, the bedskirt is so pretty. You did good !
You can use some 0000 fine grade steel wool and some oil to rub the finish on that table to make it like new. Or, you could use the oven cleaner method to remove the finish and it will probably turn out a light off white color.
I love all of your finds and how you decorated with them. The chunky plate looks so hokey and delightful hung behind the glass jars. I love your videos. ❤
The little table is perfect where you are using it. I know everyone says not to paint it, but the thing is, if you do paint it I am sure it will look adorable because everything you do turns out just perfect.
Julie, please don’t paintthat new table it looks so good the way it is .Thanks for another wonderful video. Always great spending time with you. Absolutely love love how you set up your decor. The old iron as bookends is a great idea. Thanks for the inspiration Julie God bless you and.your family 🙏👋🇨🇦
That bed skirt was beautiful! Great deal on the pan.we love our deals! And I long for friday nights to watch you and what new goodies you've found.i use my irons for bookends as well The books on that great table! You just lucked out lady! Yay you!
I think some folks need to be cautious about what they say about Goodwill prices. That bedskirt was worth every penny.---It was good to relax to your music again, I didn't realize how much I'd been missing it.
I know that as battenburg lace . I used to have curtains with that lace and loved them but sadly they gave up the ghost but I will tell you battenburg lace is pricey so that dust ruffle cost someone a bit. You know Julie, I don’t need to watch you thrift but seeing your treasures is a real treat. Going thrifting with you is fun but we can be left behind when it’s inconvenient. I’m truly enjoying the extra visits so thanks for taking the time to film and share with us. Happy thrifting!!!:):):)
“ Do you want to look through my Barn “ 🤣 Love the gorgeous Bedskirt the Frame and Table , I think the Table is lovely as is you have a gorgeous Country home 🌸🌺
Julie, your Shenago China platter is wonderful. It is Restaurantware, sturdy for any project or place. The finish is not shinny, just perfect for your Country Decor. The back stamp is a Native American Indian, who lived in the New Castle area in Pennsylvania. You might just find a vintage Battenburg Lace table cloth and cover some pillows, or a European Sham pillow! I have seen those wonderful antique books tied together with basic twine, even satin ribbon. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful weekend 👏❤️👏
I would leave the table as is……it’s gorgeous!!! You got awesome items at awesome prices 👏 I have two old irons that were my great grandmothers, I’m 69 so I’m sure they are antiques!!! I have one against my walk in pantry door because my cats can open the door and get in there and throw down 😂 They still can get in there some, they scoot the iron around , but can’t get in as much as they used to. Love all of your videos ❤ I learn so much from you and Donna, I look no further than you two for all kinds of tips and ideas!!! I have the same decor as you two🐓 🪴 🍽️ 🐥 Have a blessed weekend 🙏 Peace ✌️ Love ❤️ and Thrifting 🛒
Julie, I also love RESTURANT where so my grandmother was born in 1900 and my mother that was born in 1927 both had Restaurants through their life always we’ve always had a restaurant so when both my grandmother and my mother has passed, I have kept a lot of their restaurant where they look like stone iron stoneware I put some up, but recently we started repainting and redecorating, and I found these to be beautiful White plates with a black stripe and there the plates are and then they have a black line on the scallop. They’re just playing their restaurant where I’ve had them for years put up when I decided to get them out and put them on the shelf that I had myself for like 20 years and I end up doing a paint job to it. I painted a matted black because the room that we just painted is white with matted black trim, so I decided to paint this shelf black and the shelf that I’ve had for 20 years has a plate. I don’t know where it’s embedded in the wood plate stand like a plate holder so these two plates that I brought out which I think I have four but I brought out too to put on that shelf. Just be beautiful and my son. One of my sons said mom those are really nice. I said yes they were my mom’s or my grandmothers which I think they were my mom, but I have so much I am actually going through all the boxes that I have and I’m keeping a lot of the restaurant where and I’m going to make a space for them in case I want to switch things up or maybe pass them to Daughter Inlaw * I’m not sure yet, but I’m gonna keep them. I have some unique pieces and I also have some unique pieces that my sister Inlawhas passed on to me. Oh my God beautiful stuff. I think her mother was a ant collector. I have a lot of stuff still working. We just been working on it little by little I just got my apartment re-leveled and so I’m kind of going through it now to store stuff in it.
I’m really surprised that you didn’t get that table when you first saw it and saw the price. Love that dust ruffle so pretty. I have a bedroom that is used for storage. Oh my gosh I just saw a pan exactly like that at the Goodwill today and didn’t know what it was. I picked it up it was so heavy and put it back on the shelf. That picture frame is beautiful so is the picture in it.
If the oval metal frame has tiny holes all along its edge - PUT YOUR PICTURE AND BACKING INTO THE FRAME - -- and then use straight pins to push through the holes and into the velvet thick backing. I purchased a frame similar to this one and it had the same issue - I used the plain straight pins (they have a flat top and are metal) and are perfect to hold this in..worked for me..good luck
IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL AS IS, BUT, YOU WANT ALL 3 PIECES THE SAME AS YOUR COFFEE TABLE! I DECORATE HOMES, NOT THAT I RETIRED FROM NURSING, A FEW YEARS, AGO! I MAKE FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS, WREATHS & I DECORATE ALL OF A HOME, WALLS, TOO!JULIE, YOU DO AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB WITH YOUR THRIFTS & ALL!!! LOVE YOUR SHOW ON U-TUBE! THANK YOU!
Good morning from NYC, I agree no paint on the table!! I love to cover my table with table cloths or sheet cut down to fit this way I can change the colors as my mood or holidays change.
That bedskirt is gorgeous. I can’t believe someone took it to Goodwill. Cute table and great price. Surprised it was still there. Must of been meant for you 😊.
What a great haul! I have a table like that and I love it. That bed skirt is really nice, you know that wasn't cheap brand new. I also like the picture. And iron. The prices were good on everything. What a fun day you had.
Hi Julie! I loved the print with the bubble glass. When you said you knew it was old, I was thinking “not that old, probably from the ‘70’s”😬😳🫣 oh my gosh, that is 50 years ago! I always like to pick up platters; Shenango, Buffalo, and Syracuse China are my favorites. The round table was a good find, and looks perfectly styled! Have a great week💕
Julie, I love that bed skirt! It’s lovely! I believe it Battenberg Lace!! I have a battenberg lace tablecloth that looks very similar! Great buy!! The table is super nice too! You did so good on your hauls! Now I’m getting the fever to get out again! Ha Btw, I have that bubble picture!! There’s a little boy praying that matches it! I bought mine many years ago at a flea market, I don’t remember what I paid for the set. Those are at least vintage.
Julie, I hear you about the "room". My craft room is such a mess and I don't know how to fix it. Things are everywhere but I don't know where anything is. I've started some organization tasks but after a while I'm too tired to go on. So, like you, I close the door. I'm having to repeat buy so many things (tape, ribbon) because I need them!!! How crazy is this??????🤪🙏🙏
I’d probably leave the beautiful table as it is and maybe get a furniture touch up pen to match it and then just some furniture polish. I love all of your finds and the way you used them!
No i would not paint it. It matches the other side table. I think that looks best. But its your lovely home, you decide. Boy!! You lucked out in thoes garage sales. Sometimes they are better than the thrift stores., especially price wise. I got a tall cabinet for one dollar because the lady wanted everything gone. I loved that. You did great at placing your new finds around. I just love your channel. Take care and keep cool.❤❤❤
So glad the table was still there! That dress is really pretty! I love a long flower flowy dress.. perfect for the FL heat, but i enjoy the comfort of them. Oh no.. I definitely wouldn't paint it, its too pretty! All it needs is to be rubbed down with "Restore A Finish" and it'll look like new! You probably have used it before, if not.. its a dark liquid but its not a stain or wax and it'll cover all the scratches & dings. Unless you just want it to match the coffee table. I just love the wood color personally. Girl I love going thru barns & old storage sheds, they are usually full of treasures! The first piece of ironstone i got, i found in an old shed under a tote, buried in the dirt & leaves! A huge platter with the stamp, stained & crazed, and believe it or not, no damage at all! There were 3 sheds & whatever i found & wanted i could have. It was so during the middle of winter, & so stinking cold🥶 Lol Mountain winters are next level, up high & wind blowing! But I found so many amazing pieces i wasn't about to stop, took me 3 or 4 days tho lol😄 The table looks really nice there! Oh wow.. the bed skirt has that gorgeous Battenburg lace! I have a et of napkins with that lace on each corner, but that bedskirt is going to be stunning when you get it on the bed🤍 Girl I don't iron.. I bought a steamer from what, only gave $30 for it & it amazing! Just hang the item in a hanger or lay it across the bed & steam any wrinkles right out! Plus I take it when we travel because everything gets wrinkled in the suitcase & i can't wear wrinkled clothes😄 Same.. always say things have a home & that's where they go.. but we all have that one room or closet or space🫣 The seasoned pans, cast iron especially, are a must! Great deal on that pan. Lol sister barn digger..umm yes please!😂 Oohhh my goodnesss.. obsessed with that portrait & frame, its gorgeous! My fav are to collect, old photos & old hand painted portraits.. that's sooo pretty!! Girl that price was pretty too huh?!😁 The baby is so precious too. The 2 in your bedroom have names, can't remember it right now. But you can also find A large piece with both those pictures on one photo if that makes sense. I have the large one like that! You've probably googled lensed it already & know that 🤷♀️ Mine is really old too in a huge, super heavy wooden frame. One of the first pieces i got when i started collecting. Honestly, i love yours, so gorgeous in those frames❤ You could optional just use hot glue on the back to hold everything in, if it don't work at least you can peel it off. Love the books too, they're awesome, those pages tho! I want to find some older hymnals like that to add to my collection, mine aren't that old, 1950's i think. Those are just too good!😊 A old cast iron for $2 Is a killer deal! I had 2 given to me, buy i'm looking for one with the wood handle.. they're definitely not cheap! I hope when we find a house we have a decent laundry room..i want to decorate with my irons & washboard, things like that. I love the irons as bookends! If I don't have a nice laundry room, I may just do the bookends, i have a couple sets but love this idea! I have enough books i can use them on😄 The Platter looks really good there. Girl I wouldn't change a thing on that side table.. it looks perfect just like you have it! If you add anything, maybe a little brass chamber candle stick & suffer or old antique eyeglasses.. it'll look like a scene from the old "Waltons" program! Can't you see it?? We have got to be thrift & collector sisters at heart, seriously!😄 I loved the video, even tho I'm a bit late seeing it.. its been crazy with this move, & we just got temp. custody of my 3 & 5yr old grandbabies. Prayers are definitely needed please.. for them mainly, the whole situation, & for my husband & myself, its a really tough situation. Anyways.. loved every piece❤ Sorry i got really chatty, but i was right there with you😄Have a very blessed wkend!
Hi Julie! I know I'm Miss.MatchyMatchy but no I wouldn't paint the table. Those hymnal books sure look older than 1935. But then they must've been used a whole lot😮. I love the way you styled them with the iron. You have a great day and see ya on Sunday!❤
We collect so many of the same items.. I’m glad I live in Tennessee or we would be wrestling over some of these items.. now I’m off to check out your other channel. Much love, from Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee ❤️❤️
1. I agree that painting can freshen up a piece of furniture, but the finish on that little table is in such good condition - I think it would be a shame to cover up that beautiful oak. Maybe you could try a doily or a table cloth before committing to paint. 2. I have that exact same bedskirt! I love it. You will definitely need to iron it. I have mine on an antique iron bed. Hint: to make it long enough, I had to put it under both mattresses, just on top of the frame. I topped it with a quilt. 3. I love Pampered Chef too! That was a steal for that pan. I love roasting vegetables &/or tiny red potatoes on mine with garlic and olive oil. 4. I also decorate with old irons. The last one I bought was $5 and I thought that was a good deal. You had a great week! Blessings, Janell
I have that larger version of the bubble framed girl. I too didn't have a way to fasten the back. So I took 4 thumbtacks and pushed them through some holes on the sides and through the back and it worked.
Great video! You had me laughing when you were talking about the item being only 1 dollar and then..do you know my name..😅 You were being so funny..loved it
I had to laugh when you were talking about pampered chef😂. My daughter and sister did lots of parties so I bought to help them out though not something I really wanted. I ended up selling it all in my yard sale for $1 each and had never been used. I love the old sad iron. I use them as blood ends for my old books that I love as much as you do
Gorgeous table. Love the wood and the original color. I would not paint it.
I would use that table as a platform for a Christmas tree. Leave it as is, because it is beautiful.
No, no paint...it's too pretty!!
Pampered Chef discontinued the large baking pan so you really did good!

Thank you! 😊
Great haul Julie. Don’t paint the table, it is beautiful as is and what an amazing price. I enjoy your daughter’s videos, you taught her well!
Thank you so much 🤗
No, don't paint it!
I agree the coffee table is enough!
The bed ruffle has Battenburg lace edging which is very intricate and expensive. I have lots of tablecloths that I inherited from my parents. You really scored getting it for such a low price! Glad the round end table was still at the thrift store. It was meant for you to get it. Great haul and video.

I would not paint that gorgeous little table
Love the withered books and iron

That's a steal!
So glad you were able to find it still there!❤🙏🏿
Thank you! 😊
Love the books, with the iron on top, it’s perfect!
I think some folks need to be cautious about what they say about Goodwill prices. That bedskirt was worth every penny.---It was good to relax to your music again, I didn't realize how much I'd been missing it.
Love all your beautiful finds !
Thanks so much!
i think i love the plan wood color i wouldn't paint

Love everything! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Love the table as is.
Love the table glad you went back and purchased it. The frame with the sweet little girl picture was awesome. Enjoyed
Thanks so much!

Love your videos your country style is very inspirational ❤️
Yes Julie paint it the same as the coffee table…that turned out great 👍
“ Do you want to look through my Barn “ 🤣 Love the gorgeous Bedskirt the Frame and Table , I think the Table is lovely as is you have a gorgeous Country home 🌸🌺
Thank you! 😊
I have seen those
wonderful antique books tied together with basic twine, even satin ribbon.
Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful weekend 👏❤️👏
Oh awesome! Thank you for that information 😊

I’d probably leave the beautiful table as it is and maybe get a furniture touch up pen to match it and then just some furniture polish. I love all of your finds and the way you used them!

Oops..umm i was wayyyy chatty🫢🫣😆
It was meant to be! So glad you got the table
Thank you! 😊
You got some good stuff! Love the iron!
Table beautiful as is. Love it!
Thank you! 😊
I love, love, love the bed skirt! I’m praying to come across one someday. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Please don't paint it!! It is a beautiful color.
I would just put a crocheted doily on that table. That finish is beautiful. What is the name brand on your bed skirt ❤️❤️
Little side table is so cute. I seriously thing you need to go back to the barn sale. Really neat stuff from there..Great video.
Thanks so much! 😊 I know right! She had the goods.
I have the same round table ❤it. The bed skirt is pretty. Like your lamp.😊
Thank you! 🤗
My favorite lae is on the bedskirt.
Iron wood he cute with a dish towel hanging from the handle 18:32
Cute table. I'm a stain fan vs paint for nice wood furniture.
I look forward to your videos. Love to see how you style things.
I appreciate that! Thank you! 😊
I would not paint that little table you found...it's beautiful just as it is
I think the wooden table painted blue on the underside/legs and keeping the top as is would look good.
I have that larger version of the bubble framed girl. I too didn't have a way to fasten the back. So I took 4 thumbtacks and pushed them through some holes on the sides and through the back and it worked.
Thank you! 😊
Great video! You had me laughing when you were talking about the item being only 1 dollar and then..do you know my name..😅 You were being so funny..loved it
😂 Thank you! 😊

Thank you! You too!
Do not paint the table. Love the things!!
I had to laugh when you were talking about pampered chef😂. My daughter and sister did lots of parties so I bought to help them out though not something I really wanted. I ended up selling it all in my yard sale for $1 each and had never been used. I love the old sad iron. I use them as blood ends for my old books that I love as much as you do
Oh I love the stone ware from them.
@@ThrilledThrifter my daughter and sister do too!
