@@Popculturenerd430 The circles and stuff is where I got stuck for a while - they are still slow quite a bit before I get to the main menu - seemingly regardless of changes to settings the logos and stuff before the menu just slow right up for some reason. Once I got passed that, I froze the game when brought to the first combat encounter, had to use task manager to exit. I can play up till when I leave the intro planet area now, but people shouldn't need to tinker a ton to get a game playable unless it's really old and harder to run on newer cards. Just an observation - I've seen that supposedly the ones impacted quite heavily are on the newer cards, so hopefully it is not in relation to them possibly using a game engine or something that messes with optimization for new cards. What frustrates me a little was on the second planet you discover I felt like there were few mediation points at the start so I would get far into exploring and my game would crash frequently even on low settings so I would have to respawn and lose 10 to 15 minutes of progress because the mediation point was so far back.
Loving the game soo far but kinda wish they had improved the combat a bit more cause at times it still feels clunky imo. Like it’s not bad but feel like it’s not fleshed out as it should be
Been playing this game (yes, on pc) all day and have loved every second of it. I haven't had nearly any issues with performance even with running it on an older PC, so I don't know what up.
For anyone playing on an Nvidia card, in the Nvidia Control Panel, change the Texture Filtering Quality from High Quality to Quality or Performance. Makes a big difference. Also when you get to the 2nd planet, the performance is much much better. I think alot of the issues are due to the density and size of the first planet. There is just way too much geometry.
I think we can all agree now that Respawn can't program games for PC in Unreal Engine. They can program in their own version of the Source Engine and it functions flawlessly, But Unreal is a dumpster fire for them.
I dont know what it is, but something about their faces just seems offputting to me. Like they are very detailed and realistic, but something about their eyes is just giving me vibes I don't know about.
130gb size in PC... great I believe the devs kinda forgot to optimize the game to release it just 3 (maybe 4?) years after the first one, again rushing single-player content just like "old times".
It makes me believe in game delays lol. Just got a refund for it on Series X. I'll wait to see if they fix performance or maybe get it on PS5, where I've heard it's more stable
I wouldn’t say it’s unstable on ps5 but I get screen tearing and stutter issues when I play ( not to spoil to much ) in the beginning major area after you leave Coruscant. Definitely have solid 60 frames tho unlike Xbox on performance. I’d say if you want to wait a couple months for updates to be out to fix some/most of the glitches and issues and maybe even a sale if you don’t want to pay full price or if you really want to play it get it on ps5 to have better performance.
Since it has such horrible performance issues I’ll hold off for some updates. As badly as I want to play it I’m done supporting companies who release buggy messes
