Just want to add comment. As much as this race shown that Ryousuke is indeed the true big boss, we have to give credit to Kyoichi Sudo as well. CMIIW, but as I remember, he is the only one that can "force" Akagi Red Suns to battle at their own home ground. Even more, they bring out their best driver as well. No, not only that. Sudo also pushed him to bring the best drive of their best driver that is Ryousuke. What a battle this was!! This is one of my top 5 favourite battles in this entire series!! 🔥🔥
Kyouchi sucks at turning right because he graduated from a racing school and therefore did not have to worry about traffic, and Japan drive on the left. Plus, his home course, Irohazaka, is a one way downhill road.
There are often trope when non-mc fights the arc boss, they manage to gsin the upper hand only to lose later in climax. Ryosuke have none of that shit, felt good man.
And for everyone Kyochi and Seiji beat in Gunma. Also it lived up to Ryosuke's hype, in the first stage he's considered the greatest street racer of his time, but he gets beaten in the one race of his we get to see.
@@bennybouken He de-tuned it because unlike the 4WD machines, his FC would be negatively affected by extra power on Akina's downhill. He gave himself the best shot. He lost to Takumi because it was on Akina AND he made mistakes. One mistake was unavoidable being that near perfectly copying Takumi's line was a bit too stressful on his front tires, and the second was being too eager to jump ahead by capitalizing on Takumi's blunder. If he stuck to his original plan he would've won.
This is one of my favorite Race initial d. This race shows that even though Ryosuke lost his race against Takumi, his determination is never unwavered. He still got the skills and passion of a racer
They seem to do that a lot with other character's cars too lmao, it adds variety imo. They look pretty good on the FC but the signature Work Meisters from 1st stage will always be the crowd favorite.
