She made a very fine Annie. I love her slightly softer acting style. For everyone complaining about the hair and skin color, the show has changed a lot since 1977. The show has grown with the times. In the past, the title role was never achievable for non white girls. I think it's beautiful that a show about dreams coming true is now open every girl having an equal shot at the role!

That's a child. She auditioned because she clearly loves it - and the producers loved her. So how about you stuff it. Annie is just about a young orphan with a good heart. The way she looks just doesn't matter at all.

No offense to anyone, but Annie doesn't have red hair and any light shade skin. This is not way to go. According to the original source, Annie has been pictured as red hair and light skin for years. Even though the actress have powerful singing voice, but still. I preferred the original source. Sorry.
