Thanks a lot Nihon. More to come 🙌
Real talk. I've been following for a while and it's just so practical. You can Def apply across the sony e mount range
The A6000 has honestly begun to change my life. Thank you for recommending this camera and creating these in-depth videos.
Thats so nice to hear! Enjoy your camera buddy!
Yes!! Thank you so much for a6000 videos its really motivated.
A6000 lover 🙌🏻
Thanks for your videos, i'm a Sony A6000 videos since 4 years,
so grateful for you
I wish I watched this video before! good stuff, applicable to many sony bodies.
Great video as always. Really appreciate your content Toms. The technology is running fast, but it's somewhat different with photos and videos. A good older cam like A6000 is still good enough to get amazing cinematic shots. But the gear is just the start.
I appreciate it Dawid! When we talk purely about the gear, I think its the lens that makes the biggest difference, but of course what you do with that gear makes a huge difference too. Cheers buddy!
I wish I could get one on one courses with you. I love your teaching style and you seem so down to earth! Longtime subscriber and fan!
Big thanks Jade! 🙏 Hit me up whenever you are in Portugal and lets do a session together. I would be more than happy to share my knowledge ✌️
I am so glad that I find your account, amazing work, you help me decide what Sony should I get! Thanks😌💪
So glad to hear that! Thank you my friend!
Thanks for making this video! I have the a6100 and have learned some useful tips. I will make my first RUclips video next month!
Just go for it and dont stop!
What a fantastic, informative video from the master!! And how embarrassing it is that I've - probably - never used the "Movie" mode, even after being already three years active on RUclips!!!!
Happy New Year buddy, keep up the amazing work and keep on inspiring us! I'm saving this video to use for reference, and hopefully next time I'll use the Movie mode😝
haha thanks a lot Michalis! Now I am wondering, how do you shoot your videos if not using the "movie" mode? 🤔 Happy New Year buddy!
@@TomsJurjaks I only press the video button on the right side. I wonder what I've been missing 😦
You got me to sub with the Alan watts intro.

Thanks so much my friend. Im really glad you like the content and thanks for your support.
Just found your channel it's awesome very informative!!
Thank you! Lots of new videos coming out on regular basis so stay tuned!
Hey Toms, amazing video. Also, I got a mini heart attack at @6:35* when you placed that in close proximity to water. Just picked one from the second hand market myself, looking forward to exploring.
May you have a banging year ahead, Happy New Year 2024.
Haha good I had that little tripod feet 😀 and congrats! I hope you enjoy your new gear! Happy New Year 🎄
Thank you! I was put off by the video on this camera if I wanted to use it as there's is no in body stabilisation. I'll invest in a gimble, which I thought I'd have to as I want to do astrophotography so it won't be a waste for money.
Great video! 🤟
Thanks!
I bought my Sony a6000 almost 3 years ago. Never used it🤦🏾♂️ I don’t know anything about shooting but I want to learn. I’m definitely going to buy the items mentioned in this video
Good time to get back in the game Slimm especially if you already got the camera. Enjoy the process!
wow that's really amazing
Thanks a lot Jefri 💪
Nice video. Can you compare this sony a6000 with canon 4000d please 🥺🥺🥺

There's no audio jack on mine, do you have a converter from the mini usb? for the mic
Super thank you very much
Welcome 😊
I love my a6000 as well. Is it possible to tell me the exact gear you are using in the video( particularly the gear needed to attach my s22 ultra smart phone to the humble...). Much appreciate it if you would. Thank you.
I actually made a video about it - check it here: ruclips.net/video/O6aFT4mZ7Y4/видео.html
Bro. You gave me faith and a decision to not buy another camera. Sticking to my Sony a6000 thanks.
I have the sony alpha 6000, and I am so happy with it. But which lens do you recommmend for cinematic videography of couples with a high quality?
Hey Aleyna, definitely a prime lens. How about Sigma 30mm f1.4 or Viltrox 23mm f1.4. Great options, nice focal lengths.
Hello from Newfoundland, Canada. I have very recently discovered your channel and am enjoying it very much. I see you using your A6000 in wet condtions, as in this particular video. I also have an A6000 paired with a Sony 50mm prime. I'm terrified to get my camera and lens wet. Should I be so concerned? Do you have any advice regarding keeping our cameras safe in rainy weather?
thank you.
Hey there friend! Awesome to get to know someone from so far away. You are located in such a stunning part of the world 🙌 regarding the a6000 getting wet, I will make a video soon, but general rule of thumb is that I don’t recommend it being wet. I think a light drizzle won’t hurt if you cover all the ports and wipe the camera with microfiber cloth as often as possible. One water drop could potentially kill it but I’ve been out with it in drizzle more times than I can count
I put a bag over mine when I'm in the rain. I cut a hole for the lens and secure like a rubber band or hair tie around it.
me ajuda amigo, pois eu atualizei o firmware para 3.21 e agora o flicker é continuo
Gonna buy sony a6000 soon.. Its all about person who behind the camera with great editing video skill can make awesome video.. No need expensive camera 🤗
Good luck buddy! Share your videos with the rest of us when you make something 💪
@@TomsJurjaks sure bro.. Might wanna start slowly on journey into videography world
Great vid
Thanks a lot Milocero 🙌
HI! Great video. However, I have to ask you a question: I also have the Sony A6000 but I don't have the possibility to enter the same settings as yours, why? It won't let me put 60p.
What I would like to do are music videos where I can shoot vibrating guitar strings, I don't want to do slow motion but I want to achieve that particular effect where the strings vibrate slowly. How could I do?
Hi, thanks! You most likely have your camera set to PAL. Change to NTSC to unlock more frame rates
Guru…🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
Thanks brother! Please I have a question ❓ why my a6000 doesn't have and record settings 60p 50M ? Only 24p and 50p ?
Hey buddy, most likely because you are in PAL. Change your camera to NTSC and you should have 60p (google how to do it)
yoo fresh vid
Thanks for all the help yo ❤️
Hey tom great video as always, i am in a dilemma here i need one of this lenses for landscape/buildings/nature photography
1. Sigma 30mm f1.4
2. Sigma 56mm f1.4
3. Sigma 18-50mm f2.8
Btw i use the Sony a6000 too😊, so which one would you recommend?
Hello, I can give you my opinion on this, since I have the sigma trio and I recently acquired the 18-50. If you can only afford one, I would recommend the 18-50, you have more versatility and you can zoom if you use it for landscape and want to focus on a specific point or shoot only a part of a building in architecture, or you can take it to 18mm to capture all the essence of the landscape or if you're shooting inside a building. It is still quite bright and the image sharpness is very good, practically the same as with the primes.
Can someone explain to me why my Sony Alpha 6000 automatically stops after 23:30min video? The energy-saving mode is at the highest setting (30min)
What do you think of the Sigma 16 mm for the Sony A6000 for video and photography..
I thinks its amazing! One of the sharpest lenses I have. I actually made a video about it really long time ago if you wanna check: ruclips.net/video/EnnrSdJu_dU/видео.html
Sorry but i did not see listed in the description: what do you use ax external screen? Is that your phone at the top of the camera?
Its this one: amzn.to/3kN0Y5U from Andycine
i got an xt100 fuji in 2019 and i hate it's video quality. im thinking of getting this one since im just a beginner
A6400 will be better for videos. A6000 is mainly for photography
could tell from the video that the a6000 was connected to the gimbal. please what cable was used for that
Gimbal already comes with several different cables for different cameras. In my case I used “multi” cable since that’s the side that goes in the A6000
Aloha~ i have Sony a6400..still learinng about shooting photo/vlog videos...what would be best settings for 4k videos & photo in sunny outdoor scenes...Mahalo!
Hey buddy! I recently made a video about it, please check:

That Allan Watts intro!
He has so many amazing speeches!
@@TomsJurjaks indeed he does!
Man how about lens sony 35mm for a6000 fo cinematic is that good enough?
There are different versions of this lens. If you want for videos, get the APSC version as it has OSS
@@TomsJurjaks so which one for a6000 sony lens 35mm or 50mm for cinematic outdor , street photography ?
So always shoot movie mode?
Hello, I have a quick question, is it possible to film in 4K?
thanks
Not on Sony a6000
How do you get the f stop to 1.4 (mine doesn't go lower than 4)
It depends on the lens. If you have an F4 lens then thats what you get as your maximum aperture.
Wow someone's still making A6000 content!
Loads of it even 😀
Did you record some parts of the video in Portugal?
All of it Miguel. In Algarve 🔥
@@TomsJurjaks you should check Porto city. It has awesome opportunities for photo and video
100% @@inblackn I've been there few times and will go there in about 2 months again!
@@TomsJurjaks then see you here 😃
See you 😅✌️
I almost sold my a6000 before I subscribe to this channel.
Stay with the Alpha Crew my friend 😀💪
What sd card do you use?
Angelbird SD cards 👌
Look for 2nd hand gimbals! Guys like me buy them new, thinking we will do tons of cinematic stuff in our free time, but actually don't. We then sell them for maybe 40% of the original price and someone else has the chance to make cinematic stuff 😉
100% agree. I did the same and bought secondhand. No problems whatsoever 👌
Do you upres 1080p to higher? How?
Yes I do. I have my timeline in Premiere Pro as 4K. Then I upscale each clip individually to 200% and export as 4K video
I’m first.
does this shoot in 4k
A6000 does not shoot in 4K
I don't have 60p in XAVC S, only 25p50M and 50p50M, why?
your MC is too slow or to small
@@Hakku1403 what Is MC? Thanks
@@jacopoviale MemoryCard
@@Hakku1403 i have Kingston 128gb v30 I3 10. Is not good? I buy V60 or v90? Thanks a lot
@@jacopoviale min. 32GB UHS-I (U3), class 10, V30. It seems your MC is OK. Switch your a6000 from NTSC to PAL or PAL to NTSC and try again. 60fps should work.
What did you mean by shooting 60 fps then slow it down during the edit …???
I shoot at 60fps but my timeline is 24fps. This means that I can modify the footage and make it play back at 24fps, which in result will slow it down more than 2x. This is how you create slow motion.
@@TomsJurjaks would it be possible to make a tutorial about editing videos
It will be nice if you can teach us all these type of edit and creating a nice smooth slow motion footage
Sure, I will create more editing videos ;)
@@TomsJurjaks I'm doing the same most of the time. The 24/60 fps make ANY footage look amazing. Everyone should give it a try.
I have sonya6000 but i don't have 24 fps. Why is that?😔
You need to switch to NTSC. I cover that in the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/Exh-j6tHb3I/видео.html
Only film setting I’m getting is a 25p and a 50p. No 60p. I live in US. Any ideas??
Most likely you have your camera set to PAL. Switch it to NTSC and you should have 60p
24 fps is the best for cinematic
Is that worth buying (body) @$350
Used?
Hm@@TomsJurjaks
Damn this camera is almost ten years old
True OG haha still works 😀
So where’s the cinematic footage?
🤷♂️🫣
I have a black screen 😂
Why do some of the clips of you holding the a6000 having a microphone. There's no mic input on the camera.
If there is a shot where you see a camera with mic input, you are not seeing a6000. Most likely those are the shots taken WITH A6000 and you see a6400 or A7IV
@TomsJurjaks ok, I was confused for a second lol. I just got a A6000 and been watching a lot of stuff on it.
Its called "composition" not a story
No, I meant story, not a composition.
